One thing Doug didn’t point out about Bamboo is 1) It repels water. 2) It’s anti microbial 3) Scratches close up somewhat so it does not show as much. I was in Texas and saw a Brabus Black and Grey 6x6. Looks sick

@n s I don't have to get over anything, I don't like pickups, if I got this one I'd sell it straight away to buy something else. They're ugly, rough, something that looks out of place other than on a workplace, cars are way more elegant, refined, more streamlined and aggressive, way cooler, pickups look quite boring, and it's funny when people buy huge pickups to boost their ego or something, then when they get off it they're tiny people. In the US it's always about bigger stuff but bigger doesn't mean cooler, it's a very simplistic idea of beauty, that's why most supercars are produced by european companies (I know that this one is german but you can hardly see pickups in Europe) If I had so much money 1,5 millions wasn't a big deal and I was into off roading I'd probably take it, but it's not really something I feel is missing in my life tbh. As you go higher in price the advantages of a luxury good over the other become more and more subtle, I could probably off road almost as good in a vehicle costing 1/10th of this. It may have things like automatically inflating/deflating tires and stuff but it's not like I'm crying if I don't have access to those gimmicks. If it was just to show off then there are way better ways to do it for the same amount of money with way cooler cars, function is the only advantage this thing may have. You'd better go worship the superior beings who own this btw, they're waiting for you

When I'm looking too those carbon fiber wheel arches, I think, I exactly know for what kind of terrain 6x6 is primarily built for. It is not primarily built for terrain we mostly have in the US, or Europe. It is primarily built for sand dunes of United Arab Emirates. Or maybe for Siberian snow. And when you're off-roading on same, you don't have to be so scared about carbon fiber... J
the pickup bed is really ridiculously small. I hope it can at least get a fifth wheel hitch (or that would be a seventh wheel hitch lol) Would be interesting to see a 3rd row version (much like a chevy suburban is a pickup with 3rd row instead of a bed)

If you want to update your Dourscore, a couple owners have said on forums that the Brabus G63 AMG 6x6 does 0-60 in 5.3s. Seems a bit quick, but two different people claim the same general time, so I guess it's legit. An extra 165hp is probably good for a two second improvement in acceleration. I can only imagine how much this would weigh were all the carbon fiber bits made out of steel or aluminum like most trucks.
@Ryan Loomis 2.0 Well, that's true. I bet over half of these will never ever leave a paved road in their lifetimes. The Range Rover has won respect from automotive enthusiasts for its off road capabilities but I've never seen one that had been taken off road. I mean there isn't a speck of mud inside the fenders or under the body! I seriously think some people buy them as a much cheaper alternative to a Rolls Royce because quite a few still see it as a "British" luxury vehicle.
Most reviewers, of anything, after a while, you notice them finding more joy pointing out at the things that need to be improved, that they forget the joy of what they are doing, Doug for me is my favorite, just because he really enjoys what he is doing and I hope he stays that way forever.
No Doug has a wife and he is an incredible guy and extremely faithful to her. I know because I am their marriage counselor and we meet every week. They are doing great!

@@kp1x yeah, but that's 14k on a trailer. Asuming how heavy the 6X6 is, and the fact it has three axles, a low range gearbox and diff-locks. I don't think the TESLA can win. In this comparison, the traction will play a big role, and given all of the things above, plus the fact that the Benz is heavier, I think that the answer is clear. It's not all about power.

When I'm looking too those carbon fiber wheel arches, I think, I exactly know for what kind of terrain 6x6 is primarily built for. It is not primarily built for terrain we mostly have in the US, or Europe. It is primarily built for sand dunes of United Arab Emirates. Or maybe for Siberian snow. And when you're off-roading on same, you don't have to be so scared about carbon fiber... J
In the us we have deserts. Look at Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and socal.

If you want to update your Dourscore, a couple owners have said on forums that the Brabus G63 AMG 6x6 does 0-60 in 5.3s. Seems a bit quick, but two different people claim the same general time, so I guess it's legit. An extra 165hp is probably good for a two second improvement in acceleration.
I can only imagine how much this would weigh were all the carbon fiber bits made out of steel or aluminum like most trucks.

@Ryan Loomis 2.0 Well, that's true. I bet over half of these will never ever leave a paved road in their lifetimes. The Range Rover has won respect from automotive enthusiasts for its off road capabilities but I've never seen one that had been taken off road. I mean there isn't a speck of mud inside the fenders or under the body! I seriously think some people buy them as a much cheaper alternative to a Rolls Royce because quite a few still see it as a "British" luxury vehicle.

This thing is dope 100% and I’m sure it’s very capable off-roading. But there’s going to be maybe 10 of the 150 there are that actually see any dirt. And maybe 3 that see mud. It’s just way too expensive to risk scraping a tree or breaking something.
