As you can see today we are working on the brakes in the slammed sierra. I wanted to upgrade to get rid of the rusty brake rotors and also clean up the look by painting the brake calipers. I chose to go with g2 Caliper paint and the matching truck color. It looks really good and I am impressed with the paint. I also decided to used powerstop brakes to replace the old worn out stock stuff. I have used their products on a lot of my cars and always had great luck. This process would be the same on silverado brakes and close to the same on tahoe and yukon. This is the best brake upgrade for silverado and sierra for the money. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Clean. Looks real good.
Thank you
I love those powerstop brake kits
Me too
I just did powerstops and a axle flip on mine Silverado, very nice
Thank you. I really like the looks.
Looks good
Thank you
Truck is looking good, just a suggestion but some rear wheel well liners would look good on the truck I put them on my 04 sierra and it really cleans it up. Rugged liner and rough country make them. Thanks for the great video's
Thank you. I need to look into that.
The wife is probably like you never scrub the dishes that good... Thats what mine would say anyway lol.... Great Content Love it!!! I like how you cover all your grounds before you even start the job i got start learning that more.
Thank you. Lol. She doesn't pay attention to what I do. I try to cover things to help with clean up.
U should paint the sway bar too I know u can’t see it but looks better looking tho. Great videos bro
Thank you. I may do that someday
Need dual piston calipers on the back. Can get factory ones off the 4x4 Tahoe/Yukon
You can
@@TWAMotorsports I swap my axel out on my 2006 chevy Silverado truck, the put rotors and calipers from a yukon 4x4
Nice. I just did they same set up on my f-body right before I put it away for the winter 👍
I really like powerstop stuff. Always works great and looks good.
@@TWAMotorsports I just heard about them at our local track.I was very satisfied on my purchase. Now hearing from you I'm extremely satisfied now.
@@alexandermcdole8464 👍thank you
@@TWAMotorsports You are more than welcome.
Now you got me wanting too go turbo. 😀That's what I should have done before my cam swap.
Appreciate all the Sierra content. You’re giving me a lot of ideas for my 07 classic!
Thank you
Hey bro you never have issues with extender shocks
I tide my .when i ride my truck is lose again
I got belltech .i really dont like it
No issues
It adds a TOUCH OF CLASS....PLUS IT IS FUNCTION OVER JUST FORM....They stop on a dime and gives nine cents in change.....IF YOU EVER RUN BIG WHEELS LIKE 24 or 26 ....YOU NEED THE BIG BRAKE KITE FROM BREMBO BUT THEY ARE VERY PRICEY....VERY
Thank you. Yeah this truck will never see a wheel that big.
You should of got the power stop brake kit with the red calipers
Never mind u didn’t want red calipers
@@marceloesquivel5665 lol. No thought it was too much for the green.
TWA Motorsports If that truck was deep ocean blue or that 100 year anniversary color oooooofff
@@marceloesquivel5665 I love my green.
2 door tahoe ...Iam watching
I bet they are dubs👀
I bet not lol
I’ve always hated the way dub ballers looked, especially anything past 22”. Or I just don’t see what all the hype behind them are lol
@@405ruben I liked them on my 17 Sierra but they were 22s
TWA Motorsports I’ve always liked the look of some 15x11 centerlines on an obs
@@405ruben I can't do that small
Is it possible to install dual brake calipers on to Sierra/Silverados?
Great vid by the way
I will be doing that soon
Calipers and rotors looks good cant wait to see the new wheels
Thank you. I love how they turned out. Can't wait to get the wheels on.
@@TWAMotorsports i cant wait either
@@MEANGENE should be this time next week.
@@TWAMotorsports ok cool ill be waiting
The truck is looking amazing hopefully I can fix up my 04 Sierra step side one day!!
Thank you. Just do a little at a time
Are you using front calipers on the rear of your truck
No
Another awesome video.. keep up the great work.
Thank you
Looks good. Nice upgrade on the brakes. Can't wait to see the wheels you picked out for the truck.
Thank you Keith. I should have a video on the wheels next week.
Do you have the link for the front rotors and pads you used? I don't want to buy the set because I want to install a dual caliper in the rear. Thank you in advance, amazing help btw!
In the link below
Sorry what link?
Where you talking about a link in the comments?
@@rubenrios646 in the video description
I would trust this guy to watch my kid🤓
Lol. Thank you. I love kids. They would learn some stuff if they were here. 👍
Break's look good. Truck is going to make a ride! ✌
Thank you.
Speaking of gloves, what type do you wear, they look like they hold up real good?
I use nitrile. Link in most video descriptions
@@TWAMotorsports Thank you, I obviously missed it. Disregard the same question on another video. Here in Iraq the internet drops so much, it makes things crazy.
Lol. No problem at all
TWA Motorsport do you plant on getting the HD hood and grille for the truck with the newer 03-07.5 gmc bumper or do you plan on leaving it with it’s original front end?
All body panels are staying. I purposely sought out a 99-02 because I like the front end.
I see you did cnotch on the truck wondering if you going to do that to the tahoe or how your going to lower it.
You will see very soon. Some cutting involved but no c notch.
@@TWAMotorsports alright cause i have a 02 tahoe an i did a 3/4 drop just have to order my shocks an im going to cut out the free travel mod. But was seeing if you were lowering any lower if so what you would do.
@@Chevyowner79 need lower springs and a few other things that will be in my video.
Nice truck , weld on your c notch though , bolt on c notch’s are no good
Thank you. I have never had an issue with a bolt in notch though.
Wondering which kit fits my 03 Silverado 5.3 2wd
Should be the same as this if rears are the same single piston
I believe so. Did you order the whole kit off amazon?
@@dlo__3929 I did. I later upgrade to dual piston rears
How you liking it? I need a whole new brake kit. The brakes on the truck are feeling shot. Previous owner didn’t replaced them on time.
I really like them
Where did you get the bump stops?
In rear came with notch
@@TWAMotorsports in the front, sick of me yet..
Oh. I think I posted a link on the drop video to Amazon which is where I got them.
Nice! Learned something new...
Thank you
Once again, Informative content. Keep it up 👍🏼
Thank you
I never get tired of watching your Sierra videos she’s gorgeous of course I like all you videos but I like more if is a lowered truck 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌🏽👌🏽
Thank you very much
Turned out gr8... calipers and brackets look awesome and the slotted drilled rotors is like the cherry on top... just gives it a more agressive sportier look!! Cant wait to see those wheels!!
Thank you Art. I am really liking the way it turned out.
Have you had any issues with driveshaft rub on your Sierra? Have heard horror stories of people having their driveshaft cut in half form rubbing.
On crewcabs but generally not an issue on reg cabs.
They will fit on my 03 Tahoe?
Not the exact kit
@@TWAMotorsports you don't have the same brand brand brakes on your Tahoe?
@@sergioramos2413 no. This was on my Sierra
Ha I guess it right that truck is looking good my man congrats
Thank you. Its getting better I think.
Looks great, I need to address the rear drums on the back of my crewcab also. I hate the look of them behind the wheels lol.
Thank you. It does improve the looks if nothing else
I think big wheels on a truck like that is GHETTO.....I JUST GOT A 2016 Regular Cab Silverado with 26,000 miles and am gonna tent a storage shed for it....Mine is 4x4 but I’m gonna de-badge it
Yeah just not my style. 22s are big enough for me. 20s are generally what I use.
I bought the same kit for my 00 Silverado just waiting to install them
I think you will like them.
I wish I had a garage, I hate trying to work on my truck in the driveway during the winter
Me too. Generally I'm doing this stuff outside. I need more room
Here’s a tip turn the steering wheel to give you a little extra room when working on the brakes
Thank you. I do that manually but it wasn't on the video.
I THINK THIS IS MY NEXT PROJECT.... 👍👍👍👍
Worth it to me.
20,s are Big ENOUGH FOR ME....Like the videos....
Thank you. Yeah me too
Sweet!!!👍🏽🔥💯
Thank you
Please donut sell the tahoe i hope you lower the tahoe very soon
It will be pretty soon. I have most of the parts now. 👍
🤫🤫🤫😏😏😏😏👍👍👍
I think I was the first to suggest color matching on the poll!!!
Good call and thank you. I love the way it turned out
I bought a Quart of rustoleum fire engine red on my daily for 3 years now still look new 10.00 lol
Very nice. That is excellent info to know.
How low can you go with those c-notch’s?
7-8"
Awh man, how long we going to have to wait to see the wheels you got????
Not long. Probably next week.
Boy, look at those rotors! It will stop in a dime.....
Thank you. If not it will look good at least. Lol
I’m gonna guess. The wheel are going to be “chrome”. Lol.
Are you sticking doing the other peoples rides at the end of your vids? That was a fun thing.
Not chrome. I am but stopped getting them.
To bad. I don’t see that hotmail address any more. Maybe know one knows to do it. Can you remind the folks that this is still happening and where to find the e mail in your next vid.
All this so I can have a good time eh!! Lol.
@@sucapizda lol. My email is twamotorsports @ hotmail
Its always listed in the description.
I’m a PROFESSIONAL BRAKE MAN....YOU SHOULD PUT ON STEEL BRAIDED HOSES.....
I will if these go bad. I did on my trans am swap.
