That’s the way to go really. More builds is less laggy for me than one do it all pop shop of a city in a small area I always make a few bases as I progress. A starter home/workshop combo a new home with storage on the side and workshop inside and then finally a factory for more difficult stuff like automating the andesite age maybe even brass age. This way I can still enjoy playing the game and I’m not sitting and waiting for hours on end to amass large quantities of resources. All workshops should be toggled off when not in use.
For Future reference, if you plant flowers near your tree farm, the oak trees have a chance to spawn with a Nest in it, can get out of control real fast
Love the use of the schematics to make the builds feel more integrated into the world!! Would love to see more houses dotted around as well just to fill out the space

The lower valley should absolutely be a train station. You've got two different gauges and minecart tracks now, so it can be a fairly complex station with lots of moving parts.
You are using the water wheels to power your builds and making river streams to make them just not floating, so I think that if you connect all the river streams in the center of the valley and make a big pond/lake sort of thingy it will look beautiful with all the builds on the side and the valley will look lush and bright. Btw I am loving this new world is heading keep it up!!🎉

Belts being very laggy is a myth and not really true. Vaults you have to update the entire vault every time an item comes in which if we think about it its updating 81 blocks every tick... EDIT: I do not say belts do not produce any lag, because they certainly do, but the way foxy tested it was not correct as you will not so often have a chunk of half belts floating around anywhere. Item drains and vaults produce more lag

I absolutely love where you're going with this series, but the weird flashing bits with the chests drives me nuts on occasion. That's not to say I have any plans to stop watching.

I like building in the world but the schematic canon allows me to do things like trees that just makes the environment around so much nicer

For that area behind you at 16:58 , you could make a village or a lake (or both if you like that). I think either would look nice in that area.

You can connect the trees of the same wood type with logs and save time, hunger, etc. It will cut them all down as 1 tree

It's a bug with the rendering end of create, no fix if you have an amd gpu unless you want to go back to older drivers

Chunkloading can be done with quite a few mods that don’t require chunkloader blocks, so he might not have shown him setting it as chunkloaded
I haven’t set up any chunkloading yet as it’s quite expensive in my pack
