Interesting story, although with some inaccurate facts: When empress Elisabeth was murdered in 1898, she certainly couldn't take with her a voluminous casket of a tiara in/ under her tightly fitted clothes or in her small purse. In addition, she did hardly loose any drops of blood, and that is why her stabbing was discovered so late after she had fainted on the ship.
Thank god that there is a transcript, as the English is difficult to understand, let alone the incorrect spelling of French or German terms. But this seems to be a general problem for most of the Jewellery commentators. Does this tiara have any marks of a jeweller? There were only a few court jewellers in Vienna, who were authorized to craft such valuable pieces and therefore were eager to leave their mark on the item itself.
