not the first female rockers but they most definitely helped pave the way for generations of young female artist's not to say they didn't inspire young dude's as well! the talent is undeniable.....
I have requested this to everyone, but no one but You has done this. "Soul Of The Sea" has a great breakdown in it, "White Lightening And Wine" is also Funky, "Dream Of The Archer", from the first album, "Love Alive" as well. "Kick It Out" many others.
Love it! What's next? Either White Lightening and Wine off of Dream Boat Annie or Mistral Wind off of their Dogs and Butterfly album or Devil's Delight. Another great reaction Biz, haven't heard this song in years. Sounds as good now as it did then ❤️
Loved your reaction! Such a great song. Nancy Wilson didn't play on this song at all. Heart founder Roger Fisher played the guitars, Heart founder Steve Fossen played the bass, Ann Wilson did the vocals & Flute, Mike Derosier on drums.
That was Ann Wilson playing the flute. There are several deep tracks from Heart that are definitely worth a listen. "(Love Me Like Music) I'll Be Your Song" "Cook With Fire" "Straight On" "Allies" "Back To Avalon"
I find this song reminds me of Joe Walsh with the James Gang. Those funky guitar bits. Some Jethro Tull flute, and Ann Wilson's incredible vocals. Just a great tune Biz...
It's up there for sure. I liked Little Queen and Dog and Butterfly more because they were more Zeppelin-ish while Dreamboat Annie was more sweet. But those were all such great albums. I once read a review of Dreamboat Annie that said it was a cross between The Carpenters and Black Sabbath in a good way. Great stuff.
WOWWWWW, YOU LOVE DOING DEEP TRACKS I NOTICED, YOU DON'T JUST DO THE MAIN HITS, THAT'S REALLY COOL YA KNOW! :) AND DIFFERENT FOR SURE, NOT COMMON. :( SO WANT MORE BIG SONGS FROM THEM : MAGIC MAN, CRAZY ON YOU, BARRACUDA, LITTLE QUEEN, STRAIGHT ON, THERE'S A HANDFULLLL FOR NOW :) THEY'RE COUPLES BIZ, BASICALLY THE WILSONS AND THE FISHERS.
1970's Heart was the absolute best. They really lost me in the 1980's. If you dig the sound here, you would really dig the band Budgie, "Napoleon Bona Parts 1 & 2"
I get you. I was all about HEART in the 70s but when they went main stream in the 80s I lost interest. It wasn't their music anymore. In an interview with the sisters, they felt it too. They didnt feel connected to the songs the studio was making them perform. They did their best but unfortunately it wasn't enough for me to stay connected. It was a real loss.
@@ginasavonell7007 Luckily for them they had about 10 million people take your place when you left. I liked their 70s material better too, but without the 80s and 90s they would have been forgotten. The 70s incarnation had clearly run out of steam by the time that awful Private Audition album was released.
Biz getting down to some vintage Heart!! 👊🏽🔥 I get you. Ann leads, Nancy backs, they harmonize beautifully, but Roger and Mike shine thru as does Ann with her flute skills giving Ian a run for his money!! Love this...ty. Check out these ladies acoustic and vocals on Sylvan Song/Dream of the Archer from same album. Also they do a live cover if Zeps "Battle of Evermore" that one is circulating-saw it on diff channel. Try "Straight On," think you will like it. 👍🏽 This group is lit!! ❤🔥❤🔥
This is a song mostly by Roger Fisher (their first Lead Guitarist) and he is extremely talented in his own right. He reminds me a lot of Tommy Bolin with some of his smooth jazz/funk solo work.
Sure the music is all derivative (Zeppelin - vocal + hear a bit of The Crunge in this), James Gang (groove, notably Funk #49), Tull (flute, unique for its usage in rock, Tull made it cool)) which combined actually gives the vibe some meat for that feminine heat. There's a live version of this that's even better (less-constricted) from 1976. 80's Heart by comparison: Not if you paid me to listen (depends how much lol).
Next Heart - Rockin Heaven Down - ruclips.net/video/ECFVG8Csn-o/видео.html Then check these guys. I 1000% guarantee you'll love them. Also you will be the first reactor to react to this band. That flute solo was straight fire.
A perfect album, IMO. My favorite track is another one often overlooked - “Soul of the Sea”.
FunFact...I partied with the drummer in 1979.❤
You would not be wrong my friend, the music is off the charts! Anne is playing the flute.
Yes, instrumentation was so good in the 70's. The women of the 70's were powerful! Heart is exceptional.
I recommend watching Heart's performance of The Second Ending - KWSU-TV (1976) of Sing Child. It will blow your mind.
"Heartless," "Cook With Fire," and "Love Alive" (a big fave of mine) are killer, deep Heart cuts that got good airplay in the 70s.
ANN IS THE FLUTIST!!!!@. ROCK ON BIZ!!!. the girls are amazing.
I have requested this to everyone, but no one but You has done this. "Soul Of The Sea" has a great breakdown in it, "White Lightening And Wine" is also Funky, "Dream Of The Archer",
from the first album, "Love Alive" as well. "Kick It Out" many others.
Glad to see someone reacting to Heart’s deeper cuts.
Glad you picked that song. It's a great one that tends to get overlooked.
Great reaction!
I think that's Ann playing flute. Bless whomever recommended this and bless you for having the balz to play it.
That's Ann on the flute. Multi talented women and fantastic band.
Love it! What's next? Either White Lightening and Wine off of Dream Boat Annie or Mistral Wind off of their Dogs and Butterfly album or Devil's Delight. Another great reaction Biz, haven't heard this song in years. Sounds as good now as it did then ❤️
Man, one of the most overlooked songs of all time.
Loved your reaction! Such a great song. Nancy Wilson didn't play on this song at all. Heart founder Roger Fisher played the guitars, Heart founder Steve Fossen played the bass, Ann Wilson did the vocals & Flute, Mike Derosier on drums.
Mr. Bizmatik yours truly ANN WILSON is slaying that flute 🪈 she's a bad ass at whatever she does!!!❤❤❤
Love all of Heart!!
Yes Biz, applause these women deserve... I like it, thank you!

I love Heart and this is my favorite tune by them.
That was Ann Wilson playing the flute. There are several deep tracks from Heart that are definitely worth a listen.
"(Love Me Like Music) I'll Be Your Song"
"Cook With Fire"
"Straight On"
"Allies"
"Back To Avalon"
Ann Wilson the lead singer is playing the flute! Shea incredible as a musician too.
Yeah that's some funky ass rock. Ann killing The flute
I actually didn't know this one. Cool song I'll add to my Playlist
A great song I’m sure you would like is Straight on !!!
Absolute classic. That whole 1st album is amazing. I always liked this one called Kick it Out. But yeah, they got a ton of great stuff.
Yes! So fine! You GOT to do Go On Cry next from this album too for us brah.
This was them coming out the gate! First at bat....and blasted it out the park!
I find this song reminds me of Joe Walsh with the James Gang. Those funky guitar bits. Some Jethro Tull flute, and Ann Wilson's incredible vocals. Just a great tune Biz...
*Heart - "Stranded" .. time to listen to Nancy's voice too*
A truly great album and more than worth an album review. Arguably their best album!
NO YOU'RE RIGHT BIZ, THEY ABSOLUTELYYYYY LOVED ZEPPELIN SO :)
My favorite Heart song.
Check out the song “Love Alive” from their 2nd album “Little Queen” It’s often overlooked. Anne plays a mean flute in that one as well!! 🔥🔥
I had forgotten this one. This ladies were "the schit!".
1970's Heart was the absolute best. They really lost me in the 1980's. If you dig the sound here, you would really dig the band Budgie, "Napoleon Bona Parts 1 & 2"

"This is going to replace 'Barracuda' -- ya'll feel me?" No.... :-)
Biz getting down to some vintage Heart!! 👊🏽🔥

Man I loved this is thought I heard all their songs A BIG BIG BANGER !! LISTEN TOO DOG AND THE BUTTERFLY PLEASE DARLENE IN ALABAMA
Great song choice.
It's Ann Wilson on vocals and Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin were a huge influence on them.
It's mainly Ann singing with her sister singing harmony.
"Devil Delight" from Magazine is probably their dirtiest and one of their very best deep cuts.
They love zepplin and they cover several Zepplin songs and do an awesome job with all of them.
HEARTLESS IS A TRACK YOU WOULD GET INTO.
Off DOG AND BUTTERFLY ALBUM.
"little ball fish things" -- some very ignorant people call those 'eggs' -- it's good to see someone familiar with the correct technical term ;-)
Caviar. Not caveat .Both useful articles but hardly interchangeable.
That is Ann Wilson on the flute
Do yourself a favor and listen to the entire Dreamboat Annie album all the way through
Heart nuggets: Cook With Fire.. Straight on.. Even It Up..
ANN IS THE lead singer.
The primary singer is Ann.
Has a little Led Zeppelin sound to some of the background instruments.
Ann on the flute.
There is another little know song on Dreamboat Annie that I LOVE....White Lightning and Wine...check it out.
This is a song mostly by Roger Fisher (their first Lead Guitarist) and he is extremely talented in his own right. He reminds me a lot of Tommy Bolin with some of his smooth jazz/funk solo work.

Check out 'Mistral Wind'.
Biz, if you like this song you have to sample Crack the Sky’s first album? Peace+ out! Thanks
Try "Heartless"
Check out LOVE ALIVE. NOW!!!😂
The drums on this track are flat out ridiculous. It's hard to explain it in a way that makes sense to non-drummers.
Heart is a genuine rock band. Here's another deep cut rocker, White Lighting and Wine. ruclips.net/video/4_rcTEF3e7o/видео.html
I'll b dam u missed 1. At least 3 other songs that r better off this album.
Check the Instagram videos I sent you. They are awesome.
Should have watched the live performance from the 70's...extended guitar solo...FIRE!!!
Or the one much later on (2007?) with the Stockholm Strings.
Great song ! Nice to hear some good B sides !
