Thanks for reviewing one of my top favorite songs - Love Alive! I recommend the next 2 cuts on this album (recorded together as one) called Sylvan Song/Dream of the Archer. It features mandolins and is also very "woodsy" where you hear the sound of a creek and birds in the opening to Sylvan Song. Thanks again!
Love Alive has been my favorite Heart song since 1977. Exquisitely performed, the deft interplay between Roger and Nancy on the two guitars, and as you noted, Ann's incredibly gorgeous vocals. It's really a perfect song. And I do love the live version too. You want to hear Ann go nuts on the flute, check out Sing Child.
I think this might be my favorite Heart song. If you think about it, it follows the lead of Stairway…soft, Medieval sounding intro….then there’s a fanfare, an electric power portion, and then gets soft again at the end. I love the melody, the flute, the guitar work. Only complaint….and it’s a major one…it’s never long enough…even in concert form!
This is one of my favorite Heart songs to listen to, and it must be loud lol. Dog & Butterfly is another one that really captures the softness of her voice.
One of my favorite Heart songs. So beautiful and meaningful and, well, just FULL. As for Monty Python: Hell, yeah you should react to them! LOL. No, I MEAN: "LOL." You (and we) will! "The Holy Grail" and/or "Life of Brian" are hysterically funny movies (of course, they're not everyone's cup of tea, but I think you'd AT LEAST get some decent chuckles out of them), and any number of the skits from their BBC TV series are equally inspired. "Dead Parrot," "Twit of the Year Contest," "Argument Clinic," etc.
It's me - your subscriber who is a total Heart groupie!!! I've been waiting for you to do this song! This is not only my favorite song by Heart (that's really saying something!) but it's also my 2nd favorite song EVER, period!! That's really, really saying something! (My 1st favorite is From the Beginning" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer - you should look it up!) But Love Alive is sort of an anthem for me. It is in my last will & testament that it be played at my funeral, and my epitaph will read "You need a whole lot more than money. You need more than to survive. You gotta keep your love - keep your love alive". You would also love Dreamboat Annie (all 3 versions of it are on the album!) Ann plays her flute on that one as well. Thanks for always making my day with your Heart & Ptx reactions! Now I'm gonna go watch the Home Free song you just reacted to, coz I love it & I know you did too!!! PS- my nickname when I was younger was Dreamboat Annie, coz all my friends knew how obsessed I was with Heart! OK, I still am! Can you tell??!! 😂
Ah, you must be talking about Monty Python and The Holy Grail. That is such a cult classic! Hysterically silly. Honestly don’t know if you would find it as funny….It is after all…VERY silly. But that was the point. Sure, now I’m wondering how you would react. Hint: It did help to be slightly “enhanced” when watching Python ✌️
You'll never hear all the sugtleties in a studio track by listening to a live cersion first,Salvo. Live versions are cool, but to get to 'know' a song...studio first, bro. Cheers, T

Excellent comment. The three cuts roll right into each other beautifully.
Since you love that warm, soft side of Ann’s voice, you might try Dreamboat Annie
Oooo! Good call!
And "Dog And Butterfly".
For more of that softer, warmer side of Heart, you might spin "Dog and Butterfly" or even "Dreamboat Annie."
This is my favorite Heart song!
My favorite female rock band from back in my teen days. These two ladies are definitely the queens of rock.

Hearing this wonderous song for the first time in a few years has left me emotional and shattered!! Just beautiful!!!
Congratulations SalvoG! You've found an album as worthy of a full review as you've done. Yes, I'm a huge Zep fan and so is every member of Heart ❤🎶🔥
Yes she is amazing they both are !!!

Studio version for the subtle touches - probably my favorite Heart song.
Sing Child has plenty of Ann's flute playing.😊
The more Heart reactions, the more subs you will have. They are so beloved and their music is so timeless. Musical perfection!!
Most of the time studio is better and besides that how we heard it first! Good job

Always been of one of my faves since the record came out
Mistral Wind will blow your socks off!!!!
I’m always interested in a Monty Python video!
And lovely advice for those of us as we have aged along with them.
Give a listen to 'Love Me Like Music'.
Heart has some amazing hits but this is in my favorite. Even live it gives me chills.
Listen to Mistral Wind from Dog and Butterfly. The title track is excellent as well.
Yes!! Mistral Wind is their “Stairway to Heaven “.
My favorite Heart sog. Good reaction Subscribed and liked.
Prefer studio because that's how I learned, however, we did follow up with the concert. 👍🏽🥳🤩
The whole album is amazing
This is my favorite Heart song, thanks for doing it.
Some of the Pythoners did a parody of the Beatles called The Rutles: All you need is Cash. Hilarious and on target. Check it out.
My favorite Heart album!
I always prefer the live version. You hear so much more personality in Ann’s voice, no matter what song it is.
I for one prefer the studio version although I've never heard the live version
Studio !
Intro and out!
Real Led Zeppelin vibes on this one.
Dog and Butterfly.

sorry for the typos..D'Oh!
Son you were great listening to Zeppelin but WHY DO YOU KEEP PAUSING SO MUCH on Heart please let it flow
Too much talking over the song. Be better to either stop the song or wait until the end so you can enjoy the "flow" of the song. js...
Ann Wilson is such an amazing force.
