It seems like this performance was too good it broke my heart rate monitor at the end 😅 thank you for showing me Heart! Can wait to continue to have my *heart* shaken by these incredible musicians ♥️
Do yourself, and your fans a favor- and listen to HEART do Stairway to heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors (in front of Led Zeppelin). It is a must-react-to song, and you will love it. It is actually just Ann and Nancy from Heart with a bunch of ridiculously talented musicians.
Well said and 100% true! Hot, beautiful and complete badasses, a young teen( any age) boys fantasy on stage, rockin' it! Yep, every guy wanted to be with them, every girl wanted to be them!
Heart - Stairway to Heaven (Live at Kennedy Center Honors) Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, along with Jason Bonham, playing Stairway to Heaven as a tribute for Led Zeppelin on Dec. 2, 2012 at Kennedy Center. Will blow your mind! These 2 sisters never age, even in 2012!
make sure you watch the longer (unedited) version. The short version was edited for TV and cut out a couple verses and transitions, all that makes the song flow brilliantly.
@@artsilva This would be the version where they show Lenny Kravits, Jack Black, and Dave Grohl at the end clapping, correct? I think the shorter version cut that part out?
Ann Wilson is an incredibly gifted vocalist. The control whether she's screaming, up high, singing softly or in her lower register is impeccable. Their stuff is amazing. Also, Nancy Wilson is criminally underappreciated as a great guitarist.
I remember when I was a teenager it took me like 6 months (practicing this intro everyday) to play this intro flawlessly ... still one of the hardest acoustic solos to learn... How Nancy came up with it is beyond me
Yes, Ann is absolutely AMAZING. I've heard A LOT of covers of 'Alone', some REALLY good but only Ann Wilson truly owns it. Even in her later years she still knocked it out of the park live. ruclips.net/video/7rO6n4fzF-U/видео.htmlsi=r_X5XiUwMqzWCVCe That being said, with regard to singing alone, Nancy is no slouch either. Remember 'These Dreams' as one example and this live version blows me away EVERY time. ruclips.net/video/0DLeH2FWFTE/видео.htmlsi=1plA3P4xB95r2rDi
Ann Wilson is an amazing singer with so much power in her vocals. Her sister Nancy is on the acoustic guitar. She's incredible in her own right. Love this band.
Ann Wilson is the greatest female voice of the Rock Era. What amazes me is that Ann Wilson, Geoff Tate, & Chris Cornell were all trained by the same vocal coach David P. Kyle
Heart began as a covers band (as so many did/do), and one of their favs was Zepp, who came to love them back... Thus, the Wilson sisters' cover of StairwayToHeaven at KennedyCenter's honors in 2012!
The Wilson sisters are a force of nature, I was 15 when the album dropped and still have the vinyl, Ann is one of the greatest female rock vocalists of all time. You will love Barracuda, it has powerful vocals. They have a deep catalog of great music, Nancy has a great voice as well.
Heart will always have a special place in my "Heart". In the Deserts of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, I had an old Cassette player ( The flat black one with the handle that you could push play and record at the same time to make a recording) along with two cassette tapes. One was Hank Williams Jr. and the other was of course Heart. These two Artists were a brief restbit from the insanity of war. The music had the ability to take my mind on brief breaks back in time to a better place and time. They were a piece of home. I got to see them in San Antonio Texas not too many years ago, and they were just as amazing. Thanks for reacting to a very special band to me.
Yeah, you're not wrong. Ann is a talent so exceptional that it's borderline terrifying to witness. The fact that she could just go out and put on a performance like this, boggles the mind. These two sisters were a revelation for the rock music world, and personally a revelation for my understanding of how music could be written with different sensibilities. They managed to show us all something new.
About twenty years ago Nancy put out an album of her own. She did very small concerts around the country. I got lucky and got two tickets to see her. A small stage. She gave us two hours of her new music. When she finished most people left my date and me and maybe a dozen others hung around. She signed my CD I had already bought. She then sat on stage and chatted with us wanting to know us. She was waiting for her ride to the airport. Sat there with her purse on her lap and chatted.
Back in the 70s I remember going to see a rock band, but I was going to see the opening act - Heart! I don't even remember who the headliner was. There are many MANY great Heart songs to experience. But I strongly recommend you find the full version of the Led Zeppelin Honors at the Kennedy Centre. Heart performed a magnificent, powerful, unforgettable version of "Stairway to Heaven". The reaction from Robert Plant, Jimmy Page (who ends up in tears) and John Paul Jones is a clear testament to how GREAT that performance was.
Terrified and in love at the same time. Exactly! Ann Wilson my first crush. Was 8 yrs old when this song came out. Her voice coming from my radio sent shivers through me. I didn't know what she meant about going crazy on me, (hold my hand maybe? I don't know I was 8) but I really wanted to find out.
Lol I saw Heart In Woodinville Washington at a place called gold creek dome in like 1973 for one dollar and a can of food right before they hit it big. Thank you for the memories sweetie. Blessings.
Great band, great song, great reaction! Ann's the GOAT as far as I'm concerned, and her sister Nancy (the guitarist) is right up there as well. I saw them in 2014 the night they recorded live at Caesar's Windsor for the newest live album at the time, and they were still kick ass. My favorite live DVD of theirs though, is 2002's Live In Seattle. Ann's at her peak here, imo. Every track they do is 10/10 and each one is here on YT. I'd love to see you react to a few from that show, it doesn't get nearly enough reaction love. Alone is heartfelt and powerful, and when she hits what the fans call "The Note" in that performance, it sends chills down your spine. For a prog experience, do Mistral Wind from that show. It's my favorite version. For straight bangers, Crazy On You, Magic Man, Straight On, Barracuda, Wil Child, and this particular cover of Led Zsppekin's Battle Of Evermore is killer. The climax during that one is second to none. For softer ballads, do Dog & Butterfly, These Dreams, Dreamboat Annie, and the premiere of a little known track where Nancy plays a guitar with Bow. I can't think of the name of it atm but it has an Eastern/ Middle Eastern feel. Hope to see you do one or some of these. If you decide to do the whole show, you'll be better for it. Until next time!
Omigosh, Aileen...welcome to musicianship of Heart. Ann & Nancy Wilson are so talented, just bringing us some fantastic songs. Hope you share more of your reactions to their music.
Aileen it is so fun to watch a young person like you react to the music I listened to on my 8 trac player when i was 17 cruising in my Z28 with a young girl back in the 70's , This music is timeless.
Definitely two of the most powerful women in early rock and roll!! You called it "attitude". Agree with you they were not playing because they had to. In my opinion musicians in this era really put their heart and soul in their music. I don't see that as much today sadly. I am so blessed to have been around during this epic time in music history.
I absolutely love Ann and Nancy Wilson. Ann's voice is one of my all time favorites, Nancy is an incredible guitarist that doesn't get nearly enough credit for her playing. Heart's Led Zeppelin Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction performance is one of the greatest as well.
Saw them in 81 at Aloha stadium it was my first concert . I sat through the band Fortune, Gamma featuring Ronnie Montrose . Then Blue Oyster Cult started building up the energy then Heart came out and blew everyone away . Before they came on I was exhausted from being the sun all day. When they came out on stage all my energy came back . Lost my voice at the end of the show they played Zep’s Rock and Roll . That was one of my favorite concerts
I'm glad you did the version with the acoustic intro and she embellished it for the live show more than what is on the album. Another hit of theirs that was insanely popular during this time, both of these were on the radio all the time, is Crazy On You.
I really enjoyed your reaction introduction to Heart. Heart's first band line up is by far my favorite. A lot can be said about sisters Ann & Nancy Wilson. Ann (brunette) is one of rock's finest and most powerful vocalists - whether male or female. Nancy (blonde) is rated one of the finest female acoustic guitarists and she can also sing well. You will seriously enjoy exploring their music catalogue, both studio and live performances. A few song recommendations include: Barracuda Magic Man Nada One Mistral Wind Sing Child Without You (Badfinger cover song) Say Hello Little Queen ... and so many more
Awesome choice. I've seen Heart twice live, once in '89 once in '14, both times were awesome! You'll have to hit the early days standards now "Barracuda", and "Magic Man". I'd suggest the slightly deeper cuts "Dog and Butterfly", "Heartless", and "Even it Up" from that era too. Then the 80's greatness that is "Alone", "Never", "Nothin' at All", "These Dreams"(where you'll get to see Nancy really shine vocally), and "All I Want to do is Make Love to You". Then, "Who Will You Run Too", "Stranded", "Will you Be There (in the Morning)". There last 3 albums were pretty darn good to. Kind of a shame the sisters aren't touring together any more. But, they're both still playing, so that's the important part.
These ladies were badazzes and iconic during the 70s. I was a teen from Canada and they were top of the list of favs for me. They were breakthrough artists for women of that era. I saw them many times and they were an incredible live band very energetic and talented Thank you for reacting to them. ❤🤟🤘
Hi gorgeous! Love your reactions to Heart. The best sister duo in Rock! Buckle your seatbelt it's gonna be a hell of a ride! Thanks for this one. See ya next time! 🔥🔥❤️❤️💋💋🦊🦊
Back in 1980... Heart was one of my first concerts ever. After an MTV awards show, I met Nancy Wilson (with her hubby (now ex) - director Cameron Crowe) and Nancy was super nice. For a future review -- please type in Heart + Stairway to Heaven... where Heart pays tribute to the legendary members of the band Led Zeppelin. Heart's powerful performance creates tears and smiles from the Led Zeppelin band members.
Man you are picking ALL the right songs! My favorite heart song of all time right here. Probably the reason I've been in love with Ann's voice for decades. ❤️
That band was so excellent, every member had massive talent. The Wilson Sisters are music virtuosos. Yes, Nancy was the first female to shred. Strangely enough, some of my friends didn't like female rockers, I always came back with "some of us guys want to be serenaded by women and some of us want to be by men" they always felt foolish.
Wtf are you talking about shred? Provide one example of her "shredding". She didn't even play lead in her own band. She was a novelty. It only worked because they were sisters
@@MidwestFarmToys A novel "novelty" ?? ruclips.net/video/dnx3PR4y0G4/видео.htmlsi=ke_IoscpahxVRv28&t=194 The early Heart knew how to put on a RnR SHOW when they had room to move.
Yes, Heart is awesome. Ann Wilson's voice is a staple in classic rock. And, Nancy Wilson is such a great guitarist that Gibson produced a Nancy Wilson Signature Nighthawk guitar. Of course they sold out in the pre-order phase and are very rare today. Nancy Wilson was also the hot blonde girl in the Corvette in the classic 80s flick Fast Times At Ridgemont High. PS .. Another very powerful female vocalist from this era is Linda Ronstadt. Im a metalhead thru and thru but...!!... I LOVE me some Linda Ronstadt!
Ann is highly regarded as one of the best Female singers in Rock history. Thats her sister on Guitar. You have to check out their Tribute to Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center...they did "Stairway to Heaven" and the members of Zeppelin were in attendance, their reactions will blow you away.
One of the most underrated bands that came out of the seventies. And of course this is an iconic guitar riff. Ever since the first time I heard it it never left my head.
"Underrated" isn't the term you pretentiously use, and it is absolutely _not_ the term you use for Heart, lol. They're quite rated. Highly acclaimed. Toured with legendary bands past and present across genres, had their songs covered by legendary bands past and present across genres, 4x Grammy nominees, won a Grammy THIS YEAR, Rock Hall of Fame, collaborated with Metallica and Elton John and so many others, sold nearly 40 million records, seven top-ten albums, and basically any top artist worth their salt can tell you Heart's influence on the rock scene.
Another banger from music's golden age. Ann Wilson is an awesome vocalist! We were so lucky to grow up with great female singers like Ann, Linda Ronstadt, and Karen Carpenter. Loved your reaction, young lady. 💚
Ann Wilson is an amazing vocalist to this day. She has some powerful lungs. Her sister, Nancy, complimented the duo with her versatile guitar riffs & song writing. ❤
Absolutely fantastic band,Ann's vocals are out of this world, Nancy is an incredible guitarist, heart have a catalogue of great songs, love your choice aileen
Next song you gotta do is "Barracuda" Also, there's that version they did of "Stairway to Heaven" at the Kennedy Center Honors John Bonham's son on drums and a big gospel choir.
A great choice and a great reaction, Aileen. I'm so glad you loved Heart, especially from this period. ♥ While the original band was from Seattle, they called my Vancouver, Canada, home for several years, before the fame. I first saw them when they played at one of our high school dances. Yeah, it was cool to see two women take centre stage, but the rest of the band were also incredible. Their early sound was heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin, mixed with Rock, Folk, Gypsy/Roma, and R&B. The lead singer, Ann Wilson, also played flute in those days. Her sister Nancy is the acoustic guitarist on this song. Over the next year or so, I caught their shows wherever I could. From free concerts in the city parks to playing at the local roller skating rink to whatever club I could bluff my teenage self into. I saw them so many times that the band began to recognise me, though we never talked. The last time I saw Heart live was August 27, 1978, at an all day outdoor show at the old Empire Stadium. They were the last act on, following on the heels of the amazing harmonies of The Little River Band. After a baking hot August day, the sun was setting and a cool breeze was now coming over us from the Pacific Ocean. Behind the stage and across the inlet, the lights of Grouse Mountain provided a warm backdrop to the show. My friend and I had staked our place on the field, standing about the fifth row, getting the best spot over an audience of about 40,000. As Heart took the stage and began to plug in, Nancy spotted me in the crowd and gave me a wave, before letting her sister know. Ann also smiled and waved. At 16, I was in heaven. Then they played and the night was capped with music that massaged my ears. They debuted songs from their new album that night, Dog And Butterfly. Nancy's voice was gorgeous, especially her performance of the new album's title song. Soft and lilting, wafting through the warm night air while the breeze lightly lifted her hair as she sang. A magical night, indeed. It wasn't long after that the original band broke up and Heart consisted of Ann and Nancy and whoever played behind them. They had a long strong of hits into the 80s but, to me, nothing they did after could top the original Heart at their peak in 1978.
Fellow British Columbian here and I was in my teens when Heart came on the scene and instantly impressed everyone. Nancy influenced my guitar playing at that time.
I'm so envious! Heart was a band that I had loved to have seen, but hadn't. 😞 What years were they living in Vancouver? I spent the summer of '72 there but probably too early? Cheers from an Ontario girl....who'd rather be in B.C.
@@CharCanuck14 I don't doubt you saw bands that I'd have loved to have seen but couldn't, as well. Heart moved here about 1973, as it was '74 when they played my high school. Dreamboat Annie came out in '75 and they still were based in Vancouver and recorded at Mushroom Studios downtown. It was an exec at Mushroom, trying to create publicity, who made some stupid hinted remarks about the Wilson sisters possibly being more than just siblings and bandmates that caused the immediate rift between the band and studio and gave Ann the inspiration for writing Barracuda about the guy, feeling not just hurt and betrayed, but furious about the insinuation. For a long while it seemed as if there were bands everywhere. A couple of guys from Trooper lived next door. Neighbours of my first girlfriend were members of Loverboy. I went to school with Prism's Al Harlow, though he's a few years older. He and I have had some great conversations over the years and I've yet to be able to take up his offer to sing a few with his continuing version of the group. BTO was first known as Brave Belt, with original Guess Who singer Chad Allan, and they also played our high school, as did Trooper when they were known as Applejack. Bryan Adams lived down the street from me, only a year older, but already immersed in music. When Nick Gilder went solo from Sweeney Todd, Bryan was his replacement when he was still 16. I met Doug Bennett (Doug and the Slugs) a few times, through a mutual friend, and he was the nicest guy. A former bandmate is close friends with Drew Arnott from Strange Advance. I made a friendship with Bill Cowsill when he lived here, well after his 60's teen idol days with his family. If you get the chance to check out Bill's band The Blue Shadows, I'm sure you'll hear some more music to love - a blend of Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, Hank Williams and more. Musicians were everywhere, as I'm sure they were in Ontario during those years. At 12, I started working nights in a local club (I had a full beard at an early age so I looked older) and every weekend was a parade of great live bands who worked up and down the west coast. Some should have had their lucky break and a few got the chance. I hope you can make your way back to BC, though we're probably a lot more expensive than you'd remember. Vancouver has changed drastically since '72, much less the beautiful and hidden city no one ever heard of to becoming filled with buildings that block the mountain views. I'm an Ontario boy who moved out here with parents and siblings when I was 4. Sorry for the novel. 😁 Hey, if you get the chance, sometimes this song pops up on RUclips before it quickly disappears. In '77 or early '78, Bryan Adams released a Disco single called Let Me Take You Dancing which was unintentionally hilarious. The producer sped Bryan's voice up so he sounded like a girl. To this day, Bryan hates that song and goes out of his way to erase it from social media. 😂
@@RobinC63 Yeah, she really was/is good. Kind of like Jimmy Page with a stronger Folk/Gypsy sound, yet she can also rock with the best. I'm envious you play guitar. I could never grasp it all that well. I dabbled in sax throughout school but taught myself bodhran and helped form a fairly popular local Celtic Rock band here in Vancouver. Making music is such an incredible rush, isn't it? ♥
I hope we come up with the technology to upload memories soon. Because I bet there's a lot of people who'd love to see what you've seen. They might even pay to watch your memories.
Ann (singer) and Nancy (acoustic guitar) Wilson, the darling sisters of my hometown Seattle. I (and others) fell in love with them and their music when they came on the scene during my junior high school years of the mid 1970s. Definite pure rock and roll of those days.
I still have all my Heart vinyl LP’s and cassettes. I remember rocking in my car on the 70’s to them! Definitely check out their songs “Barracuda” and “Dreamboat Annie” I know you’ll love them.
Love this so much. You should also react to Barracuda live (1977), Stairway to heaven Kennedy Center Honours, and Alone sung with the Philharmonic Orchestra. You could listen to the original Alone record but personally i think the Philharmonic version shows how Ann's voice hasn't changed a bit from the 70s and shows how she adapts to those difficult notes at 66 years old, you could even react to both and compare notes :). If you want to hear Nancy Wilson's main vocals i suggest reacting to These Dreams. The sisters are the greatest female rock vocalists of the century.
I saw them in concert here in South Louisiana a few years ago. The sound quality in this video doesn’t do Ann Wilson’s voice justice. Believe it or not. She was around 67-68 and Ann Wilson (her sister on the guitar) was 63-64. With todays technology she sounded better than anyone singing today. At 68 years old! Unbelievable vocalist. In my opinion the greatest female rock vocalist ever. Her range is f’ing ridiculous!
Yes the Wilson sisters Rock! Ann's voice is powerful and Nancy shows her talent on guitar! They were and still are the Queens of Rock n Roll!❤ Their playlist is awesome so anything you listen to next will be Great! If you haven't listened to Nazareth yet check out Hair of the Dog! Luv ya Aileen ❤️💛
Ann and Nancy Wilson are an iconic Rock and Roll FORCE of nature! Their talent is outstanding! You cannot go wrong with listening to ANY AND ALL of their music.
The studio version of this tune (cleaner) comes from their Dreamboat Annie album, circa 1975. It is a concept (a narrative arc) album. Not a bad song on it, and easy to love and never a bore to listen to too. This album came out when I was in high school, as I recall, at the end of the Vietnam War, everyone had a copy, so it seemed. Great memories of that time. Well worth the time investment to listen start to finish...You will not be disappointed. This was a great reaction and have a splendid day! 🖖😎
Dear Aileen and all your followers: yesterday in Belgrade we welcomed the gold 3×3 basketball players, the silver basketball players of the World Cup from the Philippines and the conquerors of the U.S. Open Novak Djokovic. It was total madness and an unforgettable celebration! We want to spread positive energy to all of you, the party continues today. We love you all, especially OUR Aileen! 🙏♥️🤘🏻🍺🎆
Have to admit Federer was always my fav. tennis player because I liked his style and attitude. But after Novak showed the world his integrity and iron will by refusing to be forced to take the highly dangerous ''clot shot'' and therefore wasn't allowed to play in a few Grand Slams to which he was in competition with Federer and Nadal to have the most GS Championships, Novak is now my fav. tennis player. Congrats to Novak on winning the US Open this month! Federer is retired and Nadal (who sadly showed his bad sportsmanship by supporting the dictators banning Novak from the Australian Open. Also I've always suspected Nadal was taking roids lol) has a broken old body and I doubt he can win any more Grand Slams. I hope Novak can win a few more to break the tie with women's GS leader Margaret Court and make it really difficult for any men's player to overtake his record.
This the first time you listening to this fantastic band are you in for a treat the greatest female rock singer of all time they have so many great songs you have to check out a song that nobody hardly plays it's one of their best called Sing child sing on the Dreamboat Annie album she even plays the flute
When I first saw them in concert, I couldn't believe how good they sounded and loud. You need to do Barracuda next and read up about the song; the Wilson sisters are true Rock Legends. 🤘
I LOVE Heart! I grew up with them, my mom really loves them. My guitar teacher is even in a Heart tribute band! They really are very special to me, I'm so glad u listened to them! 💙💙💙🎸
Heart is an awesome band. Saw them in concert many times in the 70's and 80s. Their original line up, who appear in this video, is the best of them. Give credit to Roger Fisher on lead guitar for composing that amazing riff.
I graduated high school in 1977. I liked all kinds of music; but, mainly Rock and Roll. Favorite Bands were (just to name a few): Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Rolling Stones, and Heart. Great Reaction! Thanks! Glad you seemed to like this song as well as I do. 🙂❤
Ann's voice is truly unmatched, and to believe this is a live recording. Heart is one of the few bands that sound better live than in a studio. Part of me wishes Ann and Freddie had made some recordings or sang live together. That would've been amazing both in vocals but also the stage performance.
"Silver Wheels" is the title of the acoustic piece Nancy Wilson starts the song with . This is the original Heart line-up headed up by the Wilson sisters , Ann on vocals & Nancy on guitar & vocals . The rest of the band , Roger Fisher on Lead Guitar , Howard Leese also on Guitars & keyboards , Steve Fossen on bass & Mike De Rosier on drums . I've been lucky enough to have seen this lineup of the band , most likely on the tour that this video was shot , for the 1st time as my 1st "Theater" show . Up to that point I'd only been to shows at MSG and it was a treat to see a show in a 3,500 seat theater with seats in the orchestra . My total number of times seeing the band is 4 & they were spot on great each time 🙂
I love music. Folk, rock, blues, metal, disco, pop, country, pretty much everything. So many songs have etched themselves in my mind. The last verse of this song is the one that gives those endorphins every time.
Heart is full of just that -- loads and loads of heart. What more can I say about Ann Wilson that has not already been said here? Absolutely amazing singer. Heart came to a local county fair in California around 2007. The entire state went nuts when the news broke that they were scheduled to appear. Tickets were sold out immediately, needless to say. The only reason I obtained one was because my daughter's boyfriend knew someone who was affiliated with the fair in Madera. A lot of us thought Heart would back out of the gig. This was not a big fair. But they did not back out. The concert area was outside, and it wasn't a very big space. The fair officials allowed an overflow area to be opened. Heart blew us away. They performed two encores. Because the concert area was small, it added more of a personal feel to the performance. Ann and Nancy were very gracious. They engaged the crowd. The stage couldn't have been more than 10 feet from the front row. A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Loved your reaction. Your love of music and talent is contagious. Keep on r'actin .
This song goes so hard !! Nancy doesn't get enough credit on how amazing she is with the Guitar and I just love the strong vocals of Ann! Such an amazing band
I remember seeing Heart in the 1980's at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii. I'll never forget Nancy's intro to COY...just like this version after a lengthy acoustic set she reached for a pick from the mic stand...and then she brandished that pick as if to say, "You know what's coming next!" ❤🤟❤🤟🤘
The Great Female Rockers in the History of Rock. I never miss a Heart reaction! Unfortunately, reactors always fail to see the Greatness in Nancy Wilson - The Greatest Female Guitarist…And her Vocals! Thank you for showing love to both Ann and Nancy.
So lucky to have seen them live 6/14/1980 at the Yale Bowl when they preceded the Eagles. They were at the top of their game and Crazy on You was the 2nd song in their first set. Two beautiful and beautifully talented women who Rocked the World and appropriately later became enshrined in the Rock Hall of Fame. A photo of the huge crowd from that concert is featured on the Eagles Live album. The crowd was there as much for Heart as they were for the Eagles. My first stadium Rock Concert and what great times!
It seems like this performance was too good it broke my heart rate monitor at the end 😅 thank you for showing me Heart! Can wait to continue to have my *heart* shaken by these incredible musicians ♥️

I always loved how Nancy attacked the guitar at the beginning
One of Ann´s best performances for me is their rendition of Unchained Melody live 1981 in Oakland.
Yep! The Wilson sisters are rock royalty. Congrats on your new discovery.
You will probably get a ton of requests for Barracuda after this one. It's a great song too but my personal favorite of theirs is Dog and Butterfly.
They were jaw dropping back in the day when they first came out.
Blessings.
Loved this reaction, and I loved seeing how much you enjoyed it! Barracuda is a track/video you should check out! Same amazing energy and vocals
Now that you’ve seen Stairway by Zeppelin, and Heart at the best, you can watch the Heart tribute to Zep doing Stairway, it is out of this world
I absolutely love Ann and Nancy Wilson.
Anne and Nancy are two of the greatest women in rock. Period.
A few song recommendations include:
Barracuda
Magic Man
Nada One
Mistral Wind
Sing Child
Without You (Badfinger cover song)
Say Hello
Little Queen
... and so many more
Excellent list and I would add Dreamboat Annie and Dog and Butterfly to cover a wider range of their talents.
Absolutely great picks 👍
@@stoneysopranoyukon9398definitely, every one of those is a great song!
I saw them in the 80's and they were awesome❤🎉❤
Ann and Nancy are legends
These ladies were badazzes and iconic during the 70s. I was a teen from Canada and they were top of the list of favs for me. They were breakthrough artists for women of that era. I saw them many times and they were an incredible live band very energetic and talented Thank you for reacting to them. ❤🤟🤘
Hi gorgeous! Love your reactions to Heart. The best sister duo in Rock! Buckle your seatbelt it's gonna be a hell of a ride! Thanks for this one. See ya next time! 🔥🔥❤️❤️💋💋🦊🦊
Guardians of the Galaxy VOL 3 introduced me to 'Heart'. Awesome songs they have.
Nice!
Best female rock singer of all time. Ann is astonishing.
"Nancy was the first female to shred."
ruclips.net/video/N4l6FU74pUY/видео.htmlsi=U5O2lHbq09nYj9gj
Wtf are you talking about shred? Provide one example of her "shredding". She didn't even play lead in her own band. She was a novelty. It only worked because they were sisters

A novel "novelty" ??

The early Heart knew how to put on a RnR SHOW when they had room to move.
That video still gives me chills no matter how many times I watch it.
Thanks for listening to the music of my childhood ☺️
That riff is going to be with me forever. If I hear it again I will immediately recognize it.
Another banger from music's golden age. Ann Wilson is an awesome vocalist! We were so lucky to grow up with great female singers like Ann, Linda Ronstadt, and Karen Carpenter. Loved your reaction, young lady. 💚
Three of the best right there!
An even better Heart song is Dog and Butterfly. Simply beautiful.
Best acoustic intro to any rock song and Hearts best original song.
I really hope you dive into more Heart songs, there's truly no other voice like Ann Wilson or female guitarist like her sister Nancy. Great reaction!❤
The Warning is a up and coming sister 3 piece band that will blow you away!
I'm ASTOUNDED that you haven't heard of seen these 2 sisters before, they are BOTH 2 FORCES OF NATURE, 2 gorgeous and SKILLED, TALENTED LADIES 😊
Ann Wilson is an amazing vocalist to this day. She has some powerful lungs. Her sister, Nancy, complimented the duo with her versatile guitar riffs & song writing. ❤
Don't forget Nancy's awesome harmonies with Ann in These Dreams
Nancy is incredible on Guitar and her sister Ann is the best Rock singer ever,I have been into Heart since the early 70's
Absolutely fantastic band,Ann's vocals are out of this world, Nancy is an incredible guitarist, heart have a catalogue of great songs, love your choice aileen
Next song you gotta do is "Barracuda"
Also, there's that version they did of "Stairway to Heaven" at the Kennedy Center Honors John Bonham's son on drums and a big gospel choir.
thanks for this. Ann's voice was unsurpassed. Nancy was a guitar master, songwriter and music arranger extraordinaire
Nancy on guitar she was a legend. Ann vocals was crazy! Saw them 3xs in the late 70s early 80s👍
A great choice and a great reaction, Aileen. I'm so glad you loved Heart, especially from this period. ♥
While the original band was from Seattle, they called my Vancouver, Canada, home for several years, before the fame.
What years were they living in Vancouver?
Hey, if you get the chance, sometimes this song pops up on RUclips before it quickly disappears.
Great reaction! Keep enjoying your journey with this great music from this great band.
Another wonderful reaction from you, Aileen. You're sometimes as much fun to watch as the performers. ❤
Ann Wilson the dark haired girl singing and Nancy Wilson the blonde playing the guitar the acoustic sisters, have always always been incredible
Best female rock band ever!!
Ann (singer) and Nancy (acoustic guitar) Wilson, the darling sisters of my hometown Seattle. I (and others) fell in love with them and their music when they came on the scene during my junior high school years of the mid 1970s. Definite pure rock and roll of those days.
You'll need to see them do "Stairway to Heaven" at the Kennedy Center honoring Led Zeppelin.
Ann is the best female voice ever! She's 73 now! And her voice hasn't dropped a note! Her and her sister Nancy are ledgetary.
This is why the 70's was such a great time for music. Thanks for sharing this song. The Wilson sisters are amazing!!!
What a great band. The "Little Queen" album of theirs was exceptional also. Great reaction 🎉
Ann's voice (imo) is rock perfection....and the Wilson sisters together are legends
Saw Heart in the early '80s. They were so good live. Eddie Money opened for them. Good times, good music.💯🤗✌️❤️
Saw Eddie Money in 78. Great concert!!!!!
Nancy Wilson is one of the all time under appreciated guitarists.
Nancy Wilson is such a ferocious guitar player and Ann's voice always amazing.
@@matthewpaul1111 Thank you Matthew! Man, I mean, BIG 3 have over 65 GS! Crazy!!!
This the first time you listening to this fantastic band are you in for a treat the greatest female rock singer of all time they have so many great songs you have to check out a song that nobody hardly plays it's one of their best called Sing child sing on the Dreamboat Annie album she even plays the flute
“…it’s pretty and I’m scared but…I like it…” Haha! I love that comment you made! Yes, her voice is aural fire! Passion!
Heart was the real deal. 🙂 The Wilson Sisters were one of the best things to ever come out of Seattle.
You have GOT to react to Heart’s version of Stairway To Heaven at Kennedy Center Honors. It’s unbelievable.
Ann Wislon is the singer and her sister Nancy is playing acoustic guitar. Shes a phenomenal acoustical guitar player.
HEART just rocks the hell out.
Now that you've discovered Heart, you have a good reason to do the Kennedy Center tribute to Stairway to Heaven featuring the Wilson sisters!
Ann Wilson has one of the greatest voices in rock and roll history - top three for sure.
Saw Heart in concert back in the day. Saw many other rock bands of the era too. Heart was my favorite concert by a large margin. Gotta love’em.
Hearts live cover of Stairway to Heaven uncut version. It brings the members of Led Zeppelin to tears!
Damn, I feel bad for the Eagles. That would suck to have to follow Heart.
