I think these tips videos seriously need to include the fact that a storage upgrade is available in the very early forest antiquarian realms. I missed this while distracted with the quest, and you can’t buy it in the later realms. If you want a weathered trunk recipe with over twice the storage as the angler bags, its in forest antiquarian realms essence trader shops.
Once you start getting higher tier woods and fibers, close your bases door with your follower outdoors. Otherwise he/she might use those higher tier items a fuel source in yor smelter, campfire, or braziers
Yep, I've been breaking down chests for the high end materials and my follower has been chucking it into the campfire. I swapped my follower the first chance I got out of spite.
Adding a tip to his list that he demonstrated flawlessly: When you hit a target with a ranged weapon, body shots show up as white, say 60 damage. Then you shoot one in the head (without a penetrating round loaded), you get a yellow crit of say 144. But then you fire at some critter out there and it throws a golden crit for 1,100 damage. You're like WTF was that?!? Answer: That is a heartstopper. A ranged weapon strike to the heart always does 10 times the creatures HP. Vulkan demonstrates this perfectly at @3:30 and @4:30.
Need essence dust fast? Just make a sickle, swipe at the grass and sticks while you walk towards the trader. Then you get to the trader, you scrap the grass and sticks into the essence. no need to look for rocks.
Gathering resources is a real chore. What am I missing? The buildings need so many resources, often heavy ones, and far more than you can find around your base area. But you go off and can only collect a few things before your encumbered, so you have to run back and forth constantly to build even the simplest base. The store page says: "You can even recruit NPC workers to help harvest resources as you work to expand your property." but the best I've managed to find is just some dude that follows me around and sometimes hits the nodes I give him the gear for. He doesn't do a very good job picking the stuff up, and he only follows me. He won't just go off and gather while I sit in the shade sipping drinks or anything like the store page suggests.
the good thing about your mule companion is they cant get encumbered like you do. i always transfer all the wood and rocks to them as soon as im too heavy
Question, how do you unlock the recipes from the augmentation, most of them still have locks even after they are built. I built the training dummy, but the scout's clothing is still locked. Not sure where to get those clothes and I don't see them at the essence trader.
Playing with 4 friends tonight and in some desert areas had major, i mean MAJOR performance issues. All of us on mid to high tier systems. Im talking under 15 fps lag fest, dunno if server related.. we are in Australia but it was just shite for a bit.
I have a very top tier system and I ran into the same thing. I had to lower the Video quality in the options menu. It was defaulted to Ultra Quality. I lowered it one tier to Quality, and I haven't had issues. Well, until they did an update and, for some reason, it switched back to Ultra Quality. So, maybe try lowering your video settings. YMMV, but, that is what worked for me.
while it doesn't have private servers, you can make your realms non public, so only people in your party or who you give address cards to can access them, this and they have already announced they're working on an offline mode.
They have already responded to the outcry for an offline mode. It is likely they will explore LAN options next as that is a major complaint as well. They seem to be receptive to consumer feedback thus far.
@@jennifercaldwell-jeans4569 The worst part for me is that the network performance is really bad. So being forced to be online and connected to a really bad network doubles the pain. Plus with no true single player mode I can't pause which sucks when life gets in the way and the game makes you eat every 30 seconds.
How do you get your recruit to do... stuff e.g. fighting, chopping wood etc. My guy just stands around, and when there are enemies he just starts shivering lol. I placed an axe and pickaxe in his inventory.
Right click on the items and choose equip in your recruit's inventory - they do not auto-equip from what I've seen. All of the recruits equipped items will have a little dot icon on them when you view their inventory.
@@jennifercaldwell-jeans4569 omg, thank you so much for this! Was playing with a controller, and I think when I hit "Y", which is supposed to be a Right click equivalent, it just emptied my Recruit's inventory. I'll be using KB/mouse from now on I guess.
Read the negative reviews. 85-90% of them are people wanting an offline option for single-player or overseas players having connectivity issues because right now the servers are in the US. They made an announcement yesterday that they have now prioritized the offline mode options so the vast majority of the negative reviews will be null.

Use playngale.com/Vulkan to check out Nightingale! #ad
For esence, buy bottle of water (10e) > dismantle (40e), buy 4 bottles etc. rinse and repeat. I got 1k esence within 20 seconds 😂
Yeah I did that and stopped at 200k lol. Stocked up, because i know they are going to patch it.

This is a great call-out!
Thumbs up just for the "hold E" tip. The rest are just gravy. 😁
Thanks.

wow thank you for not giving the same tips as everyone else. I have been playing for a couple days now and still found some useful information
Companion can also use a pickaxe to just harvest what is around without having to specify pick or axe.

5k ess in my first 10 mins just with fiber

You need to find the essence trader who sells that recipe, or the echo that gives it, you need both the station and the knowledge.
@@MalfunctionNeo I've looked at all the traders in the guides, and none of them showed Scout or Riding.

you can just buy water bottles and extract them
I still prefer the old UI. 🤷♂️
Same.
Finding out there were no private servers was an 11th hour save for me.

Hard to play something with mixed reviews and a 50 aggregate. Going to wait to make sure game survives first

Kind of disappointed because I figured all this out myself, but it should help someone out there who hasn't figured it out yet.
how your healbar look like that?? my dont look that nice and iplay on PC too (or do this change in your and public version?)
They pulled a last minute change to the UI the day before launch. This is the one we had in our creator access. I was surprised to see them change it.

way faster to farm fibre and turn it into essence lol
