Here's a tip. I noticed your picking up loot one at a time. Try holding down E insted of clicking, picks up everything around you in one go.
That's the tip I was shocked wasn't in there. Hold E is arguably even more powerful than the Minor Card towers 🤣

At the trader at least early game u can buy shhtones super cheap and than break them down to stone ammo.... Than break that down to essence and you get rich quick basiclly ulimited resources u can buy.... I spent 1.4k and got back like 12k or something essence....from there u can buy almost unlimited resource as long as you keep like 1.5 k essence to restock your shhhtone supply!
I'm not sure why, but the lore and feel of the game is really appealing.
If they add some QOL and fix the jankiness, i think this'll be something very special.
It will be, now with just 3 biomes, imagine how well this foundation will work with 5 to 10, more fauna and flora variations, new bosses and QoL improvements, Nightingale will be massive with the right focus points
I agree, it is janky and I have to say my progress in the main missions has ground to a halt due to this, but it hasn't stopped me playing and exploring. It'll get patched, it'll get updated with new content.
It's such a shame a small but vocal group are pooing on the game in steam reviews.
Best Tips: Destroy Fae Chest for Glided Lumber and Curved wood, Any Barrels in Fae Portals with gold on them hold ammo, Destroy unique Augmentations found around NPCs in different realms for extra rare loot
Off all the tips given. There's a big one that is missing. Just hold E to pick up everything nearby that's considered a drop. The range is also huge. Other thant that, great video.
Finding out I can reset realms that have screwed up or glitched ruins is amazing.

Ref the umbrella, the towers in the swamp portion of the tutorial have chests that seem to have a good chance of having umbrellas. I might have just been lucky but worth checking out.
I think the farie ring is meant to be used if not making a main base in realm?

you can only have the base in lvl 10 biomes? What if i want to move my base to another realm?
I have only just started playing this so I have yet to encounter the annoyances people talk about. But the game so far looks really good and the realm system showcased in this video seems great.
I think it is a decent starting point, things like crafting can be streamlined and biomes can be added.

If you use cairns at dungeons and stuff, how do you get back to your base?
those irl cards are gorgeous!!! does anyone know where I might be able to buy them?
Question! Are you able to co-op and have a survivor npc follower at the same time? or can it only be the first person to find a survivor /follower? hopefully what im asking makes some sense.
Everyone can have a follower regardless of party, you will just have to find a different one.

I wish there was a way to replace / upgrade building pieces without destroying them. I'm near endgame with several new building sets and a fully functional but basic stone base!
I have placed several augmentations around my workstations, but not a single additional recipe was unlocked.
How many of those do you need to unlock stuff?
They unlock the stations to make them, not the blueprints. Those all come from essence traders or random drops
New to the game but I discovered if you buy a water bottle for 10 essence you can extract 40 essence from it. So unlimited base level essence.
Correct, only the beginner tier essence though, not useful late game!
I am loving this game but I keep running into problems. When I finished the tutorial and the game opened up, everything seemed great. Then I realized every time I picked up sticks they'd show up in inventory as tier one predator bones. I could build much without sticks including s bed so I died repeatedly from exhaustion.
Now my second try is doing much better until I try to build my house. I have all the materials but it won't let me place anything but the cairn. The floors are red just as any other piece I try to place. I must be doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I was trying to start with the upper floor. I didn't see the foundation blocks until a few minutes ago. Almost have my basic house together.

@ShanePhoenix5558 OH, I found out why I couldn't build my house. There are foundation blocks that need to be put down. Once my brain caught up with me it all started clicking into place.
This is why I never post or sream game videos.

How the hell do i make ammo for the the sling bow! I been lost on that one for awgile now.. Just haven't been using it.. I figured I'd just come across a blueprint.

Rock Marbles. You may need to get the blueprint from an essence trader in the Abeyance realm.

I have "simple" tools and I'm at the point where I need to upgrade an item to "uncommon". It seems I'm supposed to do that at the "simple" workbench, but there's no way to accomplish that. I cannot figure out how to upgrade any item. I have the 40 essence needed, and there's green checkmarks for both the item and the essence needed (outside the workbench), but the list inside the workbench shows only "simple" items available to be crafted. I can't upgrade anything. I'm at my wits end trying to figure this out. Anyone have an explanation for me?
there is a simple upgrade bench u get unlocked that u have to build to use to upgrade the tools and gear, either from that questline or from buying from essence traders in that realm cant remember, hope that helps
you must also farm the K1-Essences with the "Antiquarium-Card"
It would have been nice to see how the small buildable portal works. Like does it use the card like the normal portal and can you maybe build more than 1?

Pretty sure you can build more than one, but one of the components is a challenge to get. It does use cards just like the world portal.
Works just like a normal portal and can be built once you start getting the key resource from Fae Towers. I have 3 portals now, easy to make
Yes! The buildable portal uses the two card system to make combos of all three biomes with the "difficulty" card (antiquity, astrolabe, herbarium, provisioner, gloom and hunt). You can return to the same realm any time, or add different cards to the same portal. If you reset the realm (not the portal!), you will reset that world and a new one will be procedurally created, meaning you will lose any buildings you made there and get a new map with uncompleted locations. I have been able to make a good enough home base with portals to each of the 18 possible realms, plus several portals to several friends abeyance realms using estate address cards. This means we can all visit each others home realms, and use their portals to their extra realms, even when they are not online. The build budget is tight, but I've been able to make a nice enough home and garden with full workshop plus enough space left for all the portals.
Something we need is a multi-portal (multipass!) where we build one main mega portal which gives a menu so we can later choose which of our realms to visit.
You can pick all up by holding E
If you go to guide book and click on traders far right you can see what each trader for each map and level sell....

When I go to the realm card machine in my home biome it says I have no playable cards found but there are cards in my inventory? I am I missing something?
The cards in your inventory are probably only Minor cards, which are used in the transmuter. You need to find or craft one biome card and one major card to open a portal. Following the quest chain should help you along the way to finding the needed recipes.
Exactly! You can craft all the cards at the focus once unlocked, so be sure to make a decent amount of them to get rdy for realmhopping!

Re: placing a new Cairn as a respawn point for dungeons, and then destroying it afterwards... does destroying it reset the Respite to the previous cairn? Or do you need to then walk back to the original one and activate it?
If you need to walk back and reactivate it, what happens if you die while having no respite, where do you respawn?
Walk back to the original one, you dont want to mess that up, might end up respawning somewhere random which happened to me and trust me you dont want to lose your main realm 😅

I love the game. I just need a much better Graphics card then what i have now to have better performance and visuals. right now i get maybe 50 fps on Lowest settings and it can get pretty bad in the forest biomes with all the foliage. Great game however despite that
i have issues in forest and somewhat swamp biomes too. even my friend with 24gb xtx has those issues and i have a 1080ti. think its game related, not hardware?
How in the world do you deconstruct that cairn? I can't for the life of me figure out the deconstruct button.

I've been in the building mode before, but usually with a building piece in my hand to place down. Is there a way to toggle building mode without something to construct that gives different hotkeys?
Hit x, this puts you in a copy/move/destroy mode. You might have to be near/in front of buildings for it

I really want to like Nightngale but the crafting system is a complete mind F#^&ck and alot of things materials don't have an icon just a place holder... that is terrrible

I will never play this game. Not only is the basic premise cliche and badly conceived - the steampunk Vicsnorian trope, but the graphics look like an old elderscrolls game, like oblivion, the combat looks like catshit, and the grind sounds f'ing miserable. Blech. I don't even feel bad for the devs. They have their heads up their asses.
Not to mention the ugliest character creation since it became a thing.
You must play on potato 🥔. 3820x2160 looks amazing unlike old elders scrolls.
