To start off, in it's current state, you can buy 1 water for 10 essence dust and extract it for 40. This means that if you repeat that cycle, you can get thousands of essence dust within a couple minutes. Then buy all schematics, build a few crafting benches beside the trader and upgrade your gear, all in one spot.... rock on 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Another source of essence is a Fae Portal. What? you ask. Those machines don't give any essence. Ah, but your crude portals and the machines aren't the only portals. There are small Fae Portals that take you to a pocket realm with a few puzzles, enemies, a couple of chests, and a lot of essence bombs. One small pocket realm in Swamp/Antiquarian gave me well over 130 T1 essence. I even successfully used the climbing picks for the first time to solve one of the puzzles. Don't give up on them. You'll stumble into the exit when the puzzles are completed. Oh, and there are the gold barrels for ammo.
@@Debo486 after doing the fae tower, look on the map for three combat POIs in close proximity, typically is in a cave - the mini realm portals are at the end
Thank you for the information on the crafting stations. I overloaded mine with augmentations and lost the ability to craft any of the firearms without being able to make them.
If you haven't tried it yet, get the Trickster card. It swaps out the drops of each type of object with one another. Plants becomes Animal, Animals becomes Ore/Stone, Ore/Stone becomes Plants. So what happens if you engage with a lv160 animal and used trickster to get Ore out of it? It'll give you random Ore that likely spawns in a lv160 realm. Heck even killing regular animals on a Lv0 with tricksters enabled you get random ores altogether!
There is a strat to get tons of ore, just go to a late game biome but use trickster, fine a puzzle of intellect and basically use Quake Spell when you trigger the bad input which spawns Bound enemies. Since they drop ore/stone it becomes easy to keep spawning them, especially on easy mode.
How do you do the protect the drill missions when the 3 tophatted gorillas with 2 handed weapons keep destroying it when killing an enemy thats attacking it?
One thing I'm not understanding is the workstation upgrades themselves. I am at my second realm and I still only have the simple workstation and no matter what augments I add, I can still only craft simple gear. Are the higher tier workstations another unlock that I haven't found yet?
yes, you have to buy the higher grade workstations from essence traders in higher rated realms. You see the rate right before entering through a portal. and you can see the inventory of every essence trader in the game via the glossary.
Some of my problems have been trying to find the unlocks for different gear. I have the refined workbench and augmentation for the refined maul. But I have no idea at all where I need to go to find that unlock. Another helpful thing would be a guide to point out how to farm the different Tier mats from the different realms. I have been able to figure out the tier 2 tree's and plants in the Provision Desert, look for the green leaves. But that is about it. I don't know what to look for in the forest/swamp or later tiers.
@@KidWonderTV Thanks, I did already know this. But I had kept looking with in the realms I expected it should be in. I finally found the refined maul recipe was in the Gloom realm. That is a long ways away it feels and it costs T2 essence as I recall. I wanted to stop my recruit from chopping trees down all around me.
@@Mortelugo That is what I ended up doing. Was in the middle of trying to get the heart shots mission and my recruit repeatedly dropped trees on my while I'm sneaking up on deer. So horrible!
What would be also nice to know is where to get those good materials for Weapons and Armor. We are currently on Realm Score 60 and we haven't really found ore/ingots that are good for Ranged Damage.
There's an ore called Pursuit that's pretty good for just straight ranged damage items. 25%. I've got a 100 realm going that is loaded with it. I want to say the pick has to be 100 to mine it, but I'm not positive on that.
You don't have to, but sometimes it can make sense to, unless you just want something for cosmetic reasons. Lots of augments do the same thing, so you can pick and choose which you want to have placed for aesthetics. And then there are other higher tier ones that will do all of the same things, in addition to adding more higher end recipes as well. I really like that you have options for cosmetics with augments, instead of every ones work area always looking the same.
How do you get gear to blue? I have excellent upgrade bench and can only go to green. Crafted a piece of druidic set and it sucks because i cant get it past green.
@@BaneSIlvermoon Seems I did not purchase a recipe for a Refined upgrade bench and so that's why it wouldn't let me, even though I had the higher version.
Quick thing i dare you to try On your Gloom realms or even worse, Gloom Swamp Throw down a Utopia Minor card on the top of the Fae Tower, and see how far you can see on the map
The math isn't mathing. Your axe had melee damage of 525.7, the infusion said melee plus 10%. And 10% of 525.7 is 52.57 which gives a total of 578.27. But for some reason the total was 557.5? I think the devs messed up or I'm missing something.
Yeah I think its scaling from additional strength I have from other buffs and so the melee damage may have been lower on the actual axe and then scaled 10% from that - only idea I have otherwise its not working lol
@@KiteoHatto I believe rarity is a multiplicative value though a guy I'll see if I can find the video who made a chespot rifle with shimmering and one with pursuit metal upgraded them both to blue and the damage difference was noticeable

In the guidebook tab there is a sub tab that says “traders” and you can see what each trader in each realm sells.

copper gives a bonus on ranged damage if i remember correct.

Damage resistance?
I believe it's additive not multiplicative so if he used metal that added 30% this would make it 40%
Its probably 10% off the white tier base, which makes it not that great. Charms probably insert themselves earlier in the final damage formula.
