    As is always the case with early access there are a number of issues that players are encountering and requesting with regards to recruits such as disallowing them from automatically stocking fires and recruits dissappearing. Inflexion Games have addressed this and confirmed that they are dedicated to resolving such issues and requests from players, if you have any feedback or encounter any recruit bugs, head over to their Sleekplan to report and upvote any issues you feel are important and need addressing: playnightingale.sleekplan.app/?search=recruits

      You can get this under control by setting one chest to allow them access to it, and only putting things in there that you want them to use, like your low-level low quality wood. If the fires are always full, they won't keep throwing other wood into it.

    I haven't tested it yet personally but thinking of giving mine a axepick. It's a tool that can chop wood and harvest ore so as long as they can use it properly they could then start to harvest both materials for me.

    • @tonydalimata
      @tonydalimata 4 месяца назад +3

      They do use the axepick.
      I don't know about properly though.
      Mine likes to mine sandstone and then when I'm not looking chopdown trees on me .
      I may of died more to falling tree damage than actual fall damage.

    Recruits can come with an axe or a pick. The very first one you get in your abeyance you can take their backpack to increase your weight as it serves no purpose for them, and frees up an inventory slot.
    It isn't only your blueprints you have to be careful of. When travelling other realms they will auto-complete the AID quest blueprints and they will use whatever tier wood and stone to do so, so do a bit of inventory management before going near any blueprint.
    They will also use any tier wood in any cooking stations they come across, be it your own or ones you find out in the wilds. Some of these do not allow you to retrieve the wood, or break the station to get the wood back, so be careful of this too. These idiots will burn Advanced Yew wood if you let them.
    Also do not give your recruit access to any wood storage containers, make sure the Survivors options is unticked so they do not access it to resupply your burnable stations. Make a separate basket with sticks for them to do this as it is helpful

      My recruit leaves as much as half the wood on the ground. So I loaded up on wood by chopping wood together in another realm away from any blueprint or fire, picking up wood left on the ground, and with about 200 bundles, using map return to go back to cairn/base, making sure to get wood into wood box. Stone is less of a problem as it can only go into non-full blueprint or storage.

      Yes..omg they put stacks of my t2 woid in the campfires we go past on other realms. Im always fighting them trying to get it back out of the fire.

    • @tejarex

      I learned to rush in and position myself between a box near the door and the fire and try to click and retrieve first. 12 or so plain wood in the fire seems to slow them down. It is like a bug workaround in programming.

    I hope in the future you can recruit more and maybe they stay at your base/respot. Maybe when you have multiple ones you can choose which ones you take for which tasks? As in having them kit ready for different adventures. So having one recruit that is ready and set up for adventuring and fighting, and maybe having one recruit that you have ready for gathering and so on

    NPCs you recruit do not need to have a backpack seeing as the slots available for space never increase ...so not much but you do get 1 extra carrying slot that way

    • @MEME-cr7rf
      @MEME-cr7rf 3 месяца назад

      Do note that backpacks have other stats to consider, though yeah, may not be worth it to make your recruit a bit tankier. Though following that line of logic you could just remove all clothes and you get many more slots!

    For those who dont yet know or any new player joining the game, ANYTHING your survivor uses (Clothing, Weapons etc) is immune from damage and or wear & tear, no need to repair thier stuff.

    You can set specific chests to be accessible by recruits. They will dump supplies in them or steal supplies for something you are building.
    Just click the button that gives survivor permissions.
    Let them dump everything in there, then filter the higher tier stuff out and leave the lower stuff for them to build with.

    When adventuring give the recruit a non harvesting tool, like a maul or scythe, so they will be ready to fight and not off chopping trees.

    So many common sense tidbits here! Like giving my goon my wood when collecting instead of walking back because I'm overburdened. Duh
    Thank!

    My recruit disappeared for no reason when I was in an other realm. I went back to my base in the safe realm and guess who I’ve found??? Abraham but he was not my recruit anymore. I hired him back and when I opened his inventory he had just the basic stuff from the start.
    All that to say, don’t fire your recruits without taking your valuable items back because they will disappear.

    • @coreygraham7477
      @coreygraham7477 4 месяца назад

      If you fire them while they still have your items. It will drop on the ground in a chest. The chest will also appear on the map as well.

    How do i get my recruit to use a sickle?

  • @nobodyhere4667

    Is there any difference between the companions or are they just reskinned differently but the stats ect, remain the same?

    • @QueenbeePlayer
      @QueenbeePlayer  29 дней назад

      I have seen different clothing stats on companions and some start with a different basic tool but other than that I believe they are pretty much the same.

    I did come up on a defend site. I saw some barricades which needed completed. From past experience I know the fight would start without these so I thought, anything to help stupid NPCs. When I finished a barricade on one side a chest opened and I received essence. Same when I finished the other side.
    I then did the defense and received more. It’s the only one like that I have seen that.
    I swear sounds like you should be drinking wine while watching shit recipes or watching Thor chop wood, “Oh tuck off” if you know the videos on TikTok you know who I mean.

      Hi there, yes a little - after I recorded this I recruited an NPC from a different realm from one of the build or defend tasks... she actually had better clothes, also its random whether you get an NPC with a pick or an axe

    If you equip a torch to a recruit they won't fill in blueprints or stock fires

    Where do your recruits go when you dismiss them? I dismissed a recruit but forgot to get what he was carrying. Are they just removed from the game with everything, or do they go somewhere I can find?

    • @rightin2914
      @rightin2914 4 месяца назад

      I don't know what it's like now, but in the alpha testing, if you dismissed a recruit that you've got from that realm, they would persist right where they were at. In this way, you could give them a tool, and put a fishing basket next to them, dismiss them, and they would stay in the area and chop all the trees down and fill the basket up. If you dismissed a recruit you got from a different realm, they would immediately disappear.
