Another important tip about followers is that their inventory works differently from the players. Followers don't have a weight limit, only a inventory space limit. They can carry in the 2000ths of wood and not break a sweat So ironically giving them a backpack makes it so they carry less stuff You should still give them clothes with hp boosting materials though or they will fold like wet tissue paper if an enemy ever looks at them Another important tip for inventory managment is the pepsy box. It's a magical structure that's bassically the chest from Resident Evil. Everything put in a Pepsy box will appear in any other Pepsy box you make. So if you carry the compomnents to make a pepsy box you can just make one, drop all your heavy stuff and then dismantal it again and keep going. Like followers Pepsy boxes also don't have a weight limit so you can have a lot of inventory spaces that ignore weight. And as a last tip you can make a small storage sack with only 10 fibres. Put stuff in it and then go into build mode, you can carry it around with R or whatever keybind you use to move furniture around. very handy if you are building a big house and the 200 lumber you just made just isn't in range of your farthest expension
Thank you so much for all these tips! I've pinned your comment so more people can read it. I did not realize followers didn't have a weight limit. That makes them even better packmules haha. Definitely important not to waste space on giving them a backpack then. Yeah, Pepys boxes are great! Hadn't thought about using them to offload all my heavy stuff while out exploring though. And that last tip is so clever! That's gonna come in real handy when I start building a big base!
Huge tip is to be aware of the Tier of resources that you gather, and place 'Fabled' or high tier materials in a chest with the options set to 'Building: OFF' - so that you don't accidentally waste good materials on a chair...
Very well organized video, good information. I love the great improvements in the Realms Rebuilt release, they listened to players feedback & made a lot of changes. I look forward to your upcoming videos. Good luck & enjoy
Thank you for all the kind words! Yeah, I never found the time to play at release, so I can't say that much in regards to the differences, but I've at least really enjoyed my time with the game so far.
Just a note on Tier one essence for repair. I'm crafting at Tier 2 level and only just found that if you mine sand stone then right click it in your inventory and select Extract you get the same quantity of T1 essence. This also applies to any crafted items like the baked berries. If you extract old crafted items you get varying amounts of T1 essence.
Thanks for watching! Good point with extracting overflow of items! That in combination with extracting T2 essence definitely makes repairs very easy to come by.
fyi as it stands, followers aren't very good with ranged weapons currently. it actually tells you as such when you try to equip them with a bow or something
Actually, I’ve given my followers guns and they are able to use them without too many issues, also never got the message that tells me they will be ineffective using a ranged weapon except for when I equipped the bow, but they were able to use the bow without issues too.
@@RascallyRasmus Anything I can do to be helpful, I will do. Both of my parents (retired now) were English teachers, so I have a little bit of a leg up. Looking forward to the next vid, brother!
I really appreciate that :) Oh, I imagine that must have been quite helpful for studying as well. Thanks! Everything has been a bit chaotic in the last couple of weeks but should hopefully be back on track with the next video soon.

Those are helpful tips! Can't wait for more Nightingale content!
Thanks for watching! I’m glad to hear the tips were helpful! Hoping to get next Nightingale video out tomorrow :)
You don't have to make a base at the Crossways itself. Just put one Lodestar near the Crossways and another wherever your base is there in Abeyance.
Thank you! That is a very excellent point!
You're welcome! 😁

Thanks for the tip! That’s very good to know before I craft a full setup for my follower.

@@ghilliecamo222 Oh, that's nice to hear! I need to experiment with a ranged follower setup as well then!
"Respite" is pronounced "ress-pit".
Thanks for pointing that out! I had no idea. I will try to get it right in the next video haha
