    Becoming a father is what motivated me to get fit and advance my career. My life is exponentially better since becoming a dad.

    I have a daughter who will be 2 in June. I can get 3-4 sessions in the garage per week. You need to choose working out over the BS you (I did lol) used to spend time on. Your time is precious. I do have the benefit of working from home which makes a world of difference too

      Dude it really puts things in perspective. I wasted so much time before I had kids.

    im 28 and father for three, the little one just have three months, the strategy that i used end syill kind of use is to set to myself for goals number of sets for week from selected exercises abd then just every time that i walking past my dumbbells or my kettelbel to do a set or two, that way i dont need to find time blocks for training and if i do find blocks if 20-30 minutes its for extra sets/exercises

    Great video as always, Atlas! Looking forward to your first book!!!
    I'm also looking forward to the next ones after:
    -Parking lot Bodybuilding
    -Old time anabolic diet for the non "seedbean" eater
    -Lifting your kid's growth (about longevity and fatherhood while lifting)

    Hate this mentality..."kids are ultimate gainz killer" man what a defeatist bs...
    And sure, the sleep thing can be really bad and you will go some places because of it...but other that that, it actually made me be more on clock and better at recovery and diet...because if you dont cook your meals that one time you can, you wont do it...and if you dont go to sleep early, it will fire back in the night when kid start crying and it repeats for months and years...
    Soni agree with whole video, the whole "dad bod" thing is ridiculous

    Im father of two. I train push/pull/legs/upper/lower. So 5 days a week after putting to sleep kids i train in my garage gym. Two supersets+ 1 isolation exercise. It takes me usually around 40min.

    I have a one year old daughter and i work shifts, i still manage to hit the gym four times in an 8 day frame, sometimes they're in the morning, sometimes at night, sometimes i have one day of rest between sometimes its three.
    Luckily i have a lot of people around me who are willing to take her for an hour or two.
    Maybe when shes a bit older i will struggle but I'll cross that bridge when it comes to it.

      It kinda gets easier when they switch to a one nap schedule in the middle of the day. That's usually time for a pretty good workout.

    Yeah I think you're right. It's like a perfect opportunity to do specialization in few areas. You can go hard on biceps while neglecting back squats guilt free.

    I know im still 19 but , i still get blackpilled by the fact that One Day Ill have to be a parent and lose my Gainz (or lack thereof)

    • @atlaspowershrugged
      @atlaspowershrugged  6 месяцев назад +3

      It definitely doesn't have to be like that. Learn a wide variety of exercises and to fast and you'll be prepared! You can have both, and it's totally worth it!

    So would you say you lift 2-3 times a week?

    • @atlaspowershrugged
      @atlaspowershrugged  7 месяцев назад +3

      Ideally 7. But only 2-3 would be long sessions. The rest would be 20-40 minutes, either a small bodypart workout or a mobility workout.

    Luckily, the majority zoomer fathers having kids are blue collar. So their work could just be enough to maintain a physique, however a modulation of strength does exist.

    • @atlaspowershrugged
      @atlaspowershrugged  7 месяцев назад +9

      That only lasts so long. Blue collar guys who don't train are riddled with injuries by 50.

      I’m one of those “blue collar” guys, mid 30s with 3 kids. I’m riddled with injuries, I’ve had a few work accidents ie smashed in the head by a digger lol, gym injuries too… and drunk shit like falling out of trees or fucking my self up in mosh pits at metal show. This contributes nothing except to say life is too short to live like a pussy lol.

    Notice you said NEW father of 2? I will check back in 5 years 😂. Most people talking about how amazing it is to be a Father is either a new one or wealthy enough that they do not have to deal with the everyday struggles. People are in a bubble of their own comfort and only when that bubble is popped will they see how ignorant they really were. Children are great, sure but is that the end of the disussion? Heck No!
