Confronting a charlatan is something you are doing in your own power. Even starting a conversation about something is you using a level of control over the situation. I don't think stoicism forbids you from opposing others. You are supposed to focus on yourself of course, but then you focus on yourself in that situation with others, and handle it. I think it’s important to understand the context that stoicism came from. And the type of man it was made for. Completely alien to today. Literally biologically so, and also in their ambitions - wanting to conquer entire nations, fierce competition for ideas, arts, excellence etc. Was to applied to these individuals of overwhelming life ‘fire’. Not to the common man - and certainly not today’s common man with his ambitions. You need a “fire” first to tame/direct. Embers only exist today - and stoicism will only serve to snuff out any flame remaining. You need to cultivate and build the flame first.
BJJ is a great way to go from basic wrestling towards Advanced wrestling, but they don't train striking and they don't take hits so it's only a supplement in a sense versus being an end all be all form of martial arts
Well yes you should eventually train striking, the best way to begin martial arts is to start with grappling (bjj, wrestling, judo) because you want to avoid CTE as much as possible I'd suggest a Maui Thai class at the age of 18-20 to learn striking if that is your goal, but grappling first

Totally agree with what you have to say about epistemology and logic, though I would add that there are ways of engaging with these subjects that are much more engaging and intellectually enriching than just picking up an old textbook. Reading basically any philosophy that interests you will educate you about these topics. In addition, I think that any study of Stoicism is improved by reading more modern voices which were influenced by that school of thought. Spinoza, Hegel, Nietzsche, and--dare I say it--Deleuze are all popular choices, and have very salient critiques of Stoicism. Epicurus and Lucretius are also good sources to check out for a parallel school of thought which, in my opinion, gives similar life advice without engendering passivity.
I think an issue you implicitly reference here and in your Cult of Personal Responsibility video is that many belief systems like stoicism are purely functional for a lot of people. There are specific behaviors and idea that people who practice religions/philosophies have a moral basis to say “no, you are not doing that if I can stop you.” Stoicism inherently has none of that. Why shouldn’t you tolerate a massive company destroying the forest in your backyard? it’s useful for people who feel they lack control, but it doesn’t have the “teeth” of a stronger philosophy/religion. Which is perhaps why it has proliferated for so long. I say this as someone who also is not sure what to stand for yet, but I empathize with people wanting a framework to deal with all the bad shit you see everyday
