Can I just remind everyone that Connor Roy was interested in politics from a very young age.
To which I add: Connor Roy was interested in politics from a very young age.
He's too inept to make anything of it though.
Shiv may have dubious capability in business, but in politics she was very capable (in my opinion the show runners axed her character potential too early by having her leave politics), and with Waystar/Royco backing could have made a very powerful candidate for anything in her own right.

I have a feeling whatever papers Greg does give to Kendall don't have the whole story and then Greg comes out and sabotages both Kendall and Logan and becomes the man at the top. He might have a soft spot for Tom.
Seems like Kendall is genuinely frustrated at the end there, can’t wait to see what’s at stake at that moment

Chills. I’m unbelievably excited to see what unfolds. It’s clear Kendall is truly playing for keeps, but how far will he go? As far as Logan’s gone before..

He was clearly careless in season 1, both in allowing some random investor (and by proxy a long time competitor) to have such power over Waystar, and in how much he was willing to spend in order to acquire an asset of dubious benefit to Waystar.
Add the drug/crash thing at the end of season 1 and it adds up to a pattern which implies he could easily have exposed himself carelessly on the cruises thing simply because he was concentrating too much on the big things to notice how badly he had exposed himself on the small details over the cruises.
Logan is arrogant, but with experience to justify it - Kendall is arrogant too, but much more unstable to the point where it seems more ego than experience driving his decision making.

The part where Kendall is yelling at everyone at the end is really sticking with me. It seems like he's not afraid to assert his self in front of everyone anymore which is a liberty only his dad usually has. I can't wait to see if this is him fully coming into his own or if it's him mimicking his dad or something else.
It honestly looks like he is having an unhinged meltdown. Less assertation more temper tantrum.

I think a mix of him just being mostly frustrated and upset. Part of that might be because he needs his family on his side, mainly his siblings, but they’re too scared to leave their father’s side, they always have been.
A very clear rule, a very strong scream at the right moment are always efective depending of circumstances.

This show is next level. The first episode was superb, a great start to season 3.

That Greg guy is a fantastic actor. The way he acts so casual and idiotic at the same time is marvellous. The whole cast is simply outstanding.
I was thinking the same thing , he is irritating to the point where you say I hate this guy ,next you feel sympathy for him, a perfect actor.

I love how you can root for all the bad guys in this show, and savor every misfortune that happens to everyone, because everyone is so conniving and horrible. It's delicious.
Exactly why I love shows like this. There's never been a better "everyone is horrible" show; it's done to perfection
Yeah I don't buy that. There are some people that are worse than others, but not everyone is horrible.

This season looks so much more powerful than the last two seasons. The writing doesn't seem to have wear off at all
Greg partying, the FBI, Adrien Brody, it all looks so good. Tom's arc this season seems like it's going to be amazing. Love this show.
I can’t wait to see how everything turns out. I am curious to see the roles that two of my faves will play, Adrien Brody and Alexander Skarsgård. This is definitely an essential must watch.

...This season is one episode shorter, anyways. So I'm expecting there won't be any surprise twist at the end of episode 9 but mere cliffhanger of pre-existing developments.

I get the feeling that Logan going with Gerri for CEO so fast after Shiv's 'loss' of Lisa will come back to haunt him - especially as it's clear she never stood a chance of securing Lisa's help in the first place due to Lisa having effectively taken Kendall as a client already.
Every time she thinks she has a firm footing with him he keeps pulling the carpet out from under her.
She left a very successful position in politics to chase him down this rabbit hole, and I get the feeling that this season will finally have Shiv showing us why toying with her future time and again was extremely ill advised on Logan's part.
Ikr? Logan really thinks he's going to live forever... tbh I think all of the kids shoukd just cash out their shares and leave the company entirely to make their own way in the top 1% of the world, but then we wouldn't have a show lol

@@maazkalim what I’m saying is that great actors are going to want to part of this show, which will hopefully elevate the show even more. If you’ve watched peaky blinders then you’d know what I mean. Both shows already have great cast but adding heavyweights like Tom hardy and adrien brody took it to another level. Hoping that for succession in future seasons will do the same, and I’m excited to see who joins. Season 3 adds adrien brody, Alexander Skarsgard and hope Davis.

No, to be radically-honest: I haven't been able to watch that Mancunian costume-drama in its uncensored-cut, just yet.

I do get get your point[ and I did know of all 3 guest-stars* you've mentioned and even more].
You are referring to the double-edged sword that is ‘stunt casting’ - right?(

Unfortunately and unsurprisingly, HBO® doesn't deserve the rep of being "creative haven" as much as it gets, however..
I do think that given Mr Armstrong's prior-work in indies like ‘Four Lions®’, they ought to stop being overbearing in myriad of departments like casting( largely insignificant) and.. Should give the role to anybody in lead-role of that indie for any prominent-character towards the end of the series, excluding Mr Kayvan Novak - since he already has his show on Murican TV. Just a persisting idea I have, relevant to your idea that the show should get more ratings by stunt-casting.
*Off-topic but slightly-relevant: Did you get the idea that Ms Hope Davis, whose work I've managed to watch before the most out of all 3 - was apparently ill in the glimpses of her character in all of the promos and sneak-peeks released so far?

Succession is the greatest thing ever written in the history of Modern Television. Period.
You can feel the tension, it gives you the chills.... It's so amazing The Roys are back and the war has been unleashed, Kendall vs Logan, Siblings and Waystar's execs.
Is anyone else here team Kendal? Something about his character just makes me root for him, he worked for this his whole life, so much so that he lost himself (mentally) along the way. HE DESERVES TO BE CEO!

In watching this show, I still don’t know why Kendall should get the job. He seems like he only wants it because he thinks he should have it, not because he deserves it.
I mean isn’t that why he is wrong? He has worked his whole life but he has failed miserably everytime it’s time to dunk on his dad.. even now he is clearly bothered that Rava hasn’t seen the video instead of focusing on the takeover. So all I can see him is as the disruptor and that’s not enough to be a CEO

@@jarrettrisper8101 I see what you mean. But I think most of this is him hyped up from going against his dad for the first time ever. His dad tried to basically send him to prison, and he gave him the middle finger on live TV in front of the entire world.
He just has nothing to lose at this point. We basically saw his decline in character and courage during season 2 when he was under Logan’s thumb now he’s taken a stand against that and risked everything by going completely against Logan. I don’t think he’s going crazy I just think he doesn’t care, has nothing to lose, saw an opportunity to take his father down with Gregg, and went for it.
You guys could do most of us a favor by releasing all the episodes for this season.

one of the greatest shows ive ever seen in my life the dialogue and characters are absolutely brilliant its funny and dark at the same time a pretty brutal show mostly awful loathsome characters acted superbly by the cast its definitely as good as the sopranos and breaking bad masterpieces like this dont come around that often thanks jesse for creating this amazing dysfunctional family epic

I think the last scene, where Kendall is shouting is when -
the family decides to sell/dissolve the business; and he doesn't want that to happen. That is when Logan sees the 'true killer' in him, and decides to give it all to him.

I just watched the trailers for all three seasons. This show seems very stressful to watch. The dad is a Rupert Murdoch kinda guy. The kids are clawing at each other to get his seat of power. The last time I saw that old man (Brian Cox) acting was in Jason Bourne. I had no idea he was still alive! I was SUPER shocked that Kieran Culkin is acting too! Last time I saw him was in "Igby Goes Down". (I cannot believe that movie came out nearly 20 years ago.) One of my all time favorite indie movies. Kieran has a dry whit humor he delivers with accurate aim. // This show looks well written, great (very expensive) wardrobe, cinematography is worthy of a Pinterest board and the cast makes you wanna keep coming back for more.

Wow, seeing the actual context to the last scene in this trailer was rather disappointing. They didn't even use the same take.
That was really my only problem with the last episode, which doesn’t really have anything to fo with the actual show, just the marketing. They made it sound like that part would be the turning point.

This show is GOAT
Episode 3 didn’t have the sizzle of previous episodes. While still mesmerizing to see everyone with knives out, I kept waiting for the cliffhanger. One of the moments I enjoyed most was when Gerri stiffened her spine and warned Logan of telling the FBI to come back the next day. That was the moment she snapped to attention in her role as CEO in name only.
This is so intense.
