Connor Roy was interested in politics from a young age and HE IS THE ELDEST SON OF HIS FATHER. HE IS.
Hahahaha
🤣🤣🤣
oh god it's evolving
He is him!
"F... it"
“The Saddest thing about Betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies”
Stunned, and processing the finale still.
Best show on Television
Your enemies can't betray you. Just like you can't make peace with your friends.
That's truly mind blowing! Best show indeed
Well. . .obviously, because they're your enemies. Real "14 and I'm deep" vibes here. . .
Stunned is the word. Wholeheartedly. And yes the best show.
You must not watch a lot of TV. Plenty of superb shows.
Tom's arc this season was just amazing.
Shiv, Tom, Greg - they are all portraits of the descent into amorality. One by one, they give up any principles they once had.
@@jlasf I dont agree. I think the only one here who were KINDA innocent was Greg. Shiv's being broken by being in that family and environment since she's a lil girl, Tom always wanted to go up the ladder. Greg is the only one who is turning into a crook. I do hope Tom wins the Game of Thrones. Hes playing it so well.
@@castronator29 Greg's "nice guy" demeanor doesn't fool me. One minute he's dating Kendall's assistant, then he's hitting on some Contessa. Just because Tom and Shiv told him to use girl #1 as a ladder into girl #2, doesn't mean he has to follow their advice. They were obviously kidding.
Nice to see Roman comforting Kendall after all the vitriol between them. They may not get the company but if these siblings can heal their relationship that would be a better ending.
And at the very end, Kendall is comforting Roman.
A better ending would be building their relationship and then harnessing their talent to build a company that makes waystar gojo look like a shitshow.
I agree. Logan would be torn between his narcissistic controlling attitude to his children and his wish for them to make their own way.
@@rahuldev5199 That might be the next season. Doesn't board have to approve sale? Isn't this headed to another board/investor fight?
@@jlasf Shareholders have to approve and also probably DOJ for a deal that size. I think next season will be siblings teaming up against Logan/Tom/Greg to stop the deal
Chills when Shiv says "You can't trust him." She and Kendall went through this exact situation and they know.
There's heartless fathers then there's Logan Roy. The guy graduated from the Tywin Lannister School of Fathering top of his class.
Love this comment
So true this is the best comment ever
yes but Tywin Lannister loved jammy and also i think caroline may be the worse parent of them
Sooooo F’n TRUEEEEEEE!🏅
Denethor was in the year above
Such a good episode. All the characters got their moments - actors too.
I've watched that episode thrice already and I'm still astonished by how everything unfolds and how brilliant everyone's performances were. Seeing Roman beg and vulnerable not just with his dad but with Gerri was shocking. Kieran played it brilliantly. Jeremy Strong's gut-wrenching breakdown will probably win him a second Emmy and deservedly so. He's the beating heart of the show and it brought me to tears. And Sarah Snook's Shiv was absolutely emotional to watch and to see her back-stabbing husband standing behind her in triumph as she tries desperately to hold back the tears but with eyes of rage and maybe vengeance in the next season was just nothing short of powerful. That final shot of her was just a masterclass in acting and I hope she wins all the awards.
I was very concerned about Kendall’s near-drowning. The show would NOT be the same without him!
Completely agree. Her face on the last shot, she literally looks as if she's been slapped.
Tom's face also had a latent satisfaction that he finally stood up to Shiv's backstabbing.
kudos for using thrice in this dying age
@@paolovallejo8022 haha thanks
So sad to see Greg losing his soul
And too glad to see Roman stand up against his dad
What a show. 🙌🏼
You can see that when kendall finally got the comfort and love from his siblings he automatically came to his own. Bittersweet with toms move but he has had the short end for some time. Greg u can tell was being set up this season to be the one finally being selfish and having his own interests at play. Wondering where marsha comes to the next season with the divorce 🤔
I think the siblings would be interested in collaborating with Marcia and Connor, because they can only win Logan together
Marcia kne about deal, but didn't say anything. Does she know about Logan affair now? Probably. So, next move?
When Shiv said “Where do you want to wait for the car?” and Kendall says “Can I be with you guys?” 💔💔
The final scene and Shiobhan must win an Emmy, that is a masterpiece!
@@iKnowAllo u serious 🤣
Succession deserves all the awards! Acting, writing, directing, cinematography, art direction, costuming, and musical score.

@@lracseroom8286 Granite State and Felina as well
Mouth-dropping finale. I felt everything Shiv was feeling with Tom. This show is incredible, great writing, great cinematography and the acting is superb!
Im team Tom. Shiv deserves this and more. Tom did nothing wrong because Shiv never did something right.
@@castronator29 I kinda feel bad that Kendall and Roman paid for consequences for that though as well
Not to forget the music which is just something else.
The slow burn of season 3 led up to an incendiary moment in the final minutes of this episode. Still in shock. What an incredible way to end the season.
The 3 of them joining forces was one of the best things in the episode for me, I hope that continues on season 4. I wanna see them become “killers”, because they have the potential to take Logan down if they stick together.
@Canopy Nose kendall was looking dangerous here
No. They are stone cold losers.
The thing is if they do become killers, do they actually win? Or is that them losing…
@@woody4779 kendall alone was doing quite well against Logan up till the very end. kens biggest problem was he was surrounded by yes-men. but now he has a clearer mind with confessing his guilt and hes got 2 ppl he respects with him. they have a good chance
@@lancelot4718 I agree. I guess what I meant was whether or not it'd be a good thing for them to become killers. I feel like in some ways that's Logan winning and getting what he always wanted. I'm not sure them becoming as cold and "evil" as their father would be a happy ending y'know.
This show never stops building up and delivering, it's crazy
Btw anyone else felt like Roman when he was confronting his dad, scared and anxious… I feel like you can’t win against a parent 😣
Almost felt bad for Roman in that scene. He is clearly more afraid of Logan and carries maybe the most trauma from his childhood and upbringing than any of the siblings and it really showed this episode just in how hesitant he was to finally turn against his Dad, but man is it satisfying to see the siblings united!
you can’t win against an abusive parent
@@joselocalau123 Unless you walk away from them.
fantastic episode, the siblings are gonna come back stronger next season
And throw out their deadbeat dad
Yea but not sure about Roman. This might've broken him even more than he already is.
Tough pill to swallow but this is exactly what they've all needed for who knows how many years. This is good for them.
The best episode in Succession history by far
This show is something special. So well-orchestrated, characters come across not as catalysts for standard narrative arcs, but as real persons with all their complexities, sins, and virtues. Truly a triumph of acting and writing.
If Jesse Armstrong was to write each episode, there would no longer be any point for other tv shows to even exist. He just makes it impossible for anyone to compete with his level of screenwriting. What a season and what an episode... even though Logan is a monster, these kids have been treating him like an old lunatic and they seem to forget that if it wasn't for him, they'd be absolute nobodies and would need to get an actual job. Tom and Roman had minblowing character arcs this season.
Yes. It's Logan's creation, it would seem to me one would try to have low expectations because what's given can also be taken away, especially with a creep like Logan Roy.
Sarah snook deserves an emmy for just that last scene. Masterpiece.
What I love about the final shot is Tom knows that she knows. Just like they both always know the truths about their relationships, without saying anything.
Jeremy Strong's performance was amazing.
Agree!
As always.
An opera at its finest !!! Appreciate the Godfather references, especially the reveal at the end upon opening the door.
I felt marlon brando vibes on the logan's Roy performance. (excuse my bad english)
I actually didn’t catch that even though I’ve seen The Godfather. How do you get better at noticing those subtle references.
@@gabrielidusogie9189 you watch RUclips videos 😵

Last week i said episode 8 was the one of the best episodes of any TV show ever.
Episode 9 is THE best episode of any TV show ever. This was like peak Game of Thrones.
I really dont think they can top this episode..
What a great episode!!!! I was getting bored about Kendall always loosing ... I got so happy when the siblings team up. But at the end, it's true. It's Logan's company. If he wants to sell it, they should respect his decision. I couldn't believe Tom betrayed Shiv, but it definitely makes sense. Shiv was horrible with him. In fact, they are all horrible characters. The writers will win with this episode. I couldn't believe it was better than season 2 finale.
Tom betrayed Shiv. I totally missed that!
That end though. Tom didn’t have to stay in the marriage. He could have left the first night Shiv brought up an open marriage. He wanted power and he wants to be associated with a powerful family. Tom f#%k’d up.
@@stockchartart1147 He had Greg tell Logan that the kids would block selling the company.
Agreed on all fronts! I was smiling the last 20 minutes. I was lukewarm with some S3 episodes, but in thinking about it now, every minute of S3 served a purpose for the S3 finale! Just well done, all around!!!
Greg sold his soul, and now has to reap from Tom's new apparent power. I see Greg trying to backstab Tom with the park docs, and it completely misfiring, but in the process, we see so much growth, for all the right and wrong reasons, from Greg and Tom. Their relationship should be a real 🎢 in S4.
Totally agreed
I have never been prouder of Tom finally growing a pair and looking out for his own best interest in spite of his love for someone who clearly doesn't love or respect him. I cheered so loud, the whole neighborhood probably heard me.
Same here. Tom REALLY deserves this win. Shiv has been a total b*tch with him since the beggining of the series and the guy has so much potential.
Just WOW!! This was everything you want and need from a season finale! Phenomenal!!
That was BRUTAL. I feel like next season they will need Connor, coraline can’t do what she did to her children to Connor so he might be the one to save them
Wishful thinking, but I like it!
@@judescoburn6021 loool wishful thinking is all we have whilst waiting for season 4 😂😂
Do we have any idea how much stock Connor has? Does he have a board seat? Does he have any power in this fight?

Shiv face at end is so subtle yet is just a pure masterpiece.
Holy shhh it was better than I expected. So many questions, so many good moments. I hope the kids do stick together for the next season. Shiv had great facial expressions. And what about Tom, what does he have in mind? Greg being Greg as usual as well. I loved how Kendall woke up once inside the car. Wow.

The finale was absolutely next level! Can't wait for Season 4!
Congratulations to all involved in the show. It has consistently been getting better and better. Looking forward to where the team take us next.
Armstrong saying people don't really change is important. Many people complain Kendall just does the same thing over and over, but it's human nature and makes for great TV nonetheless. Mad Men comes to mind as a similar great show where most characters never change at their core, just respond to different and changing circumstances
The part where he said how he picked the end of the season ... I couldn't agree more
absolutely mind-blowing end of the season I was shocked of her putting that face and trying to hide her anger of Tom wow
"I fundamentally think that people dont change, only the circumstances around them change, and they behave accordingly" I think a statement like this said from the series' creator and director will make me view this entire show in a whole new light. I don't agree, but its tremendously fascinating.
One of the best hours of TV I've seen
I was reading a recap where comments were made regarding how S3 redeemed itself in the latter half and I was like HUH? This is a great show period. Even eps that aren't my favorite, I appreciate them so much. I hate the idea people think this show must operate for us and us only. Baloney. I trust the writers, the actors and the team behind the camera. Everyone is top notch. I don't want them paying attention to snipes from critics. I want them to follow their own muse and take us on this incredible ride of drama, comedy and gorgeous cinematography. I appreciate all the work they do! Thanks guys👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Exactly. People don’t understand character development. That is what makes Succession so great. Take Tom’s betrayal for example. It didn’t happen overnight because Tom wouldn’t betray Shiv just like that. They had to slowly show us Tom’s love and loyalty draining. That is why there are episodes that are and should be slower. It’s like reading a book. There is a buildup. Not every episode is going to be huge reveals or twists.
@@idyllbs Well said.👏🏽 It's been painful seeing Tom routinely crushed by Siobhan, epitomized so well in Tuscany ep. Part of me is hoping it was Con or even the mom. I wanted S & T to find themselves together at the very end. Changed, stronger and equally in love. I'm sure what they end up writing will be far more interesting.
I've just finished watching and I have goosebumps!!! This was freaking outstanding!!! The ending - killer!!! I need a new season asap!!!
You can be billionaires but nothing means more than a moment of honesty sitting next to some bins with your siblings in the dirt. 🥺
Owning the company over a couple billion. Loved to see it!
I guess it was a metaphor for “taking the garbage out” or “emptying the bin” for Ken.
It's a therapeutic episode after the previous emotional outbreak and a season of self delusions. Every character start facing their truth. The siblings all finally accept that their dad will never accept them and tried (and failed terribly) to fight back. Tom finally accepted Shiv will never love him equally and all he could do is hold on to the higher power. Greg is embracing his douchy-side, full throttle. I'm really excited for Season 4.
Man this show has had me on my heels for every episode. Best thing on tv at the moment. Sad season 4 will be most likely the last season.
I read that the show will probably end on season 5
I'll still prefer them not dragging it on too long like too many shows! If they can keep up this outstanding quality for 1-2 more seasons, that's amazing
@@sara-stinabergstedt3019 yeah I saw they were limiting 4 seasons in an article but if they can keep it between 5-6 I'll be content
They said that they would like the 4th season to be the last one but they also said that they might not be able to incorporate all that they want with the final season in the 4th one…
So it might extend to 5 seasonsbut definitely not beyond that…
If Jeremy Strong doesn't win another Emmy for this season, we riot

@@akashjonnagirimath4566 I meant for this season 🤣
i personally think that if anyone should get a lead actor emmy for season 3, it should be brian cox. regardless, both actors are well-deserving.
Nahh It's time for Brian
Kieran too!! Amazing work from all of them
Sorry Tom, he’s still playing checkers when the rest are playing (or trying to play) chess. Potentially ruin your own marriage and a guaranteed spot at the top in exchange for an ‘attaboy’ from Logan. Has he not seen Logan use his own children for his convenience then dispose of them at a moments notice? Say what you want about Shiv but she saved him at the end of season 2 and got him the ATN job. Tom may have been crafty but this wasn’t a smart long term move IMO
That's so true! But I guess Tom was so fed up about how Shiv treated him that the feelings of sadness won over the lucidity.
Or maybe she will respect him more now.
But Shiv without the company is a nobody for Tom. Logan and Tom exchanged things for sure, and Logan on some level values people who fight for it. Better to risk it than to sit on the sidelines in a loveless mariage. And Logan knows Tom is loyal, so he's an asset now. Not a guarantee but a good starting position.
At the end of the day nothing is certain in a dictatorship of any kind. Logan, Matsson and those types just do as they please and you have to adjust or die.
Thom had no choice but to play to Logan’s team. From volunteering to jail in lieu of Logan he has been playing safe the entire time at the expense of Shiv. He saw an opening and took it. I think he knows there’s little there left for him with Shiv and also with Logan
THIS!!!! People keep saying Tom made the right choice after being cucked and beaten down my Shiv and others but guess what Tom?!? Logan wont be your savior, your just a pawn who is now useless since your access to secret information (Shiv) has now been severed
This episode was fantastic - a real emotional catharsis where the siblings finally hop over the fence to see what Kendal saw long ago.
Kendalls' decline was brilliant ! Logan proved what a cold, egocentric excuse for a Father and human being he really is. Captivating yet repulsive family.
I really loved that dirt and bins scene. They obviously made it a metaphor - with such good writers you should look for hidden meanings and messages and allusions. Ken in trash state, it was like a reboot, siblings suddenly "trashed" their disagreements and united.
that was succession's red wedding ! what a masterpiece!!
GREAT WRITERS INDEED...GREAT ACTORS..GREAT MASTERPIECE.
Tom killed his wife and got his own Sporus or Greg, he mentioned that story in earlier episodes.
Outstanding writers and Oscar worthy performances, from all. 👏 👏 👏 Kudos for locations and photography, too.
This show is just exceptional wow 👏
At times, this show can be the best work of art I've ever seen on TV.
Amazing! Every single scene in the season serves a purpose to catapult us to the finale. It may seem trivial at the time, but it all makes sense in the end.
Must rewatch S3 to just appreciate the whole thing. Everyone who works on the show 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That ending was wild!!
Interesting to hear them talk about how Logan's word can't be trusted when making a deal with him so maybe that will come in to play in season 4 but also the use of the word "implication" when talking about Tom's betrayal, this show is simply genius.
Was a surprising one !! Loved how it turned 360 .. Logan man.. hes such a mysterious .. meticulously amazing blend full or surprises ..
JESSE ARMSTRONG GIVE US SEASON 4 NOW

the way they comforted kendall at that moment in their own way was sweet af, especially when they came together after. can't wait for season 4
Sarah Snook with those expressive acting, so brilliant.
Just caught up omg. Everything was perfectly chaotic.
The consistency in the writing and the performance seem so effortless
Jesse Armstrong first wrote a book/treatment about the Murdochs that didn't sell. He then funneled a lot of his insights into this. So, remember, Rupert Murdoch didn't pass along most of the company to his children. He sold off the bulk of it to Disney and only kept the news division. Lachlan and James were supposed to run that, but James left because of political differences, i.e. he got forced out.
I’d love to read that book.
The directors and editing team did an outstanding job. Subliminally telling us that tom blew the whistle, simply by zooming into shiv....my heart stopped 👏
Tom secured an mvp this season imo
This scene hits harder after watching the finale
Succession writers are masters at creating and executing compelling character arcs. Every character gets one and it's beautiful.
Sarah Snook in that dress. Coca-Cola.
Best episode so far. Great writing, and you just knew Tom Wambsgans would become Carlo Rizzi, from The Godfather.
How about this... Greg's grandfather dies before the will change is completed....that side of the family inherit his shares and seat on the board, which they decide Greg should take so they are represented on the board. Greg becomes a key player. And Tom becomes one of Logan's top team joining Gerri, Frank and Carl at the top table.
The most interesting and intriguing thing about the development of the show is the strategy used by the screenwriters in order to convey the ambivalance between macro and micro-dynamics. Logan sees his kids as obstacles the same way as Sandy was and, the shift from alliance and intimacy towards resentment makes it clear although the family stands at a common ground Connor Roy was interested in politics from a very young age.
I had started to think the siblings were devoid of emotions for each other at all. Good thing they finally fought for each other, even though it was nothing...
Tom is the GOAT of season 3.
Amazing story and production! You guys are so professional and good at what you do!!!
Thank you!!!
now YES Tom should be jailed
The actors and the showrunner🔥
Also I heard Brian Cox almost played Tywin Lannister,he’s def Tywin in this 🔥🔥
Do you guys remember in ep 1 in the first season when Kendall told Logan to go digital and here we are today
This is a blessing in disguise for them. Logan should've forced them out years ago, so that they could grow and mature. He has been a constantly malignant presence in their lives, so I hope they can finally spread their wings now.
I don't know how many of you watched Castlevania, the Netlifx animated Tv series, but when Shiv, Roman and Ken walked in to confront their father it instantly reminded me of the moment when Sypha, Trevor and Alucard go to Dracula's castle to fight him and the 'Bloody Tears' song comes on.
Succession did it without vampires and all the fire and swords, but it was just perfect.
Roman breaking down after Gerri’s betrayal broke me.
