      For anyone saying Shiv betrayed Kendall, he was transforming into Logan by the minute with his abusive tactics toward Rome to attain power. He opened up Rome would, laid his hands on him, and pushed a pregnant Shiv. The Finale shows that they are not serious people.

    • @JeanBakula
      @JeanBakula Год назад +23

      It was a tragic ending, but it wasn't meant to be a Disney story. And don't forget all the sibs are very rich,. and will be richer still with the sale of the corporation.
      I still believe Kendall would have been the best to lead. He had business experience, and actually looked at spreadsheets and figures. Logan left what it seems he planned to make a codicil to his will and name Kendall, and find a place for Greg. So he did want a blood relative to succeed, and it's hard to come to grips with it all, good ending that it was.
      Shiv was never as smart as she thought, and the most like Logan. She was jealous of Ken, vindictive, and couldn't stand to see him win after she was betrayed so many times. She's old enough to have realized she was being played by Mattson. She failed at politics because she was so rich she was out of touch with the way real people live. She failed at everything she tried to do in life. Kendall failed, but he kept trying, and almost succeeded, so there is a difference.
      Roman may be the happiest. He never had any responsibility, but felt the weight of that. Now the weight is off, he can do something or nothing.
      What Shiv and Roman said to Kendall when she wouldn't vote for him was unforgivable. I wonder if she voted earlier, and it wasn't the last and deciding vote to give her the power, if it would have been the same outcome.
      Kendall is being criticized for what he said to the sibs too. But it has to be awful to be told what your life course would be at 7 and to have that thwarted when he thought he had it, just out of Shiv's spite. I hope she enjoys her fake marriage to a man she doesn't love, who listened to his boss say he wanted to f**k her and didn't even care. She has no love to give that child, even if it really is Tom's. Wow, it's a lot to take in.

    I was rooting for Ken but Shiv was right; its for his own good that he doesn’t become CEO.
    Also I love the imagery of Kendall and water. To me it symbolizes where he’s at, at different points in the show.
    In the S1 finale, he’s literally and figuratively drowning, fighting to stay afloat, while the people with him (both the waiter and all the board members that voted with him in S1E7) are dead in the water.
    In S3E8, he gives up on life completely and almost willingly drowns, as he has completely lost in the fight with his father. Business-wise, he might as well be dead.
    In S4E6, “Living+”, he dives into the water and flows with it, as he is at the top of his game following the presentation, and he is a part of the new “wave”.
    In S4E10, instead of being in the water, fighting against it, or willingly drowning, he’s out of the water altogether, and is only able to watch as the waves crash and the world goes on, since there is nothing he can do, and he has lost control. I almost thought he was going to go over the rail and drown, although as I'm glad he didn't (Team Kendall!)
    Maybe I sound like a pretentious lunatic but I love looking for symbols in these kinds of shows, and I think the frequent imagery of Kendall and water had to be deliberate.

I really think she couldn't stomach Kendall, just as she said, after watching him swagger around smugly with his feet up on Logan's desk and his arrogance during the vote.
