- Well I've had my eyes on that RealSimGear Cirrus Cockpit since I first saw it and today it actually arrived just in time for Xmas. I'm so stoked that I decided to do my first (and probably last) unboxing video.

Those unboxings are still fun aren't they? I've had a couple in recent years but nothing as elaborate as this. Hope they didn't have to kill too many styrofoam trees for that packaging. ;)
Hey Ren did you get the BATD version that is approved by the FAA?
I did not and to be honest I'm not quite certain what makes in BATD certified but I think it has to do with the software side of things. If anybody knows please feel free share. Happy New Year. Cheers-Ren
@@TheRenBaron I think you’re right. I was comparing the two and what stood out to me (aside from the price) was “X-Plane 11 Professional Edition” and your choice of only one torque sim plane. The commercial versions of this software are significantly more expensive (not sure why but my suspicion is tech support priority). I was just curious if you intended to log instrument approaches from the comfort of your home (which I’m sure you know you can do with a BATD)

That device is a Stream Deck XL usb controller from Elgato. It's got 32 separate programmable buttons. You can buy it on Amazon.
