Thanks for this. This was supper helpful. I just bought a 2009 fn2 and don't think it came with a lsd. Since I plan to do track time the LSD would be a must. I plan to fit one asap. :)
For the final C clip install : DO NOT lift up with the screw driver. After closing the case, Ssread it open around the shoulder. Then flip the whole thing and give it a light gentle tap on the table. Inertia will move the shaft and sit the clip for you.
You are the MAN That's a hell of a good job mate You earned mine undieing subscription , devotion and if you will be in UK a steak dinner and all the beer you can drink mate Thanks for the knowledge
Just finished watching your 2 parter on this mate, top job. Thanks for uploading. I know how much of a pain it is to try and film whilst doing that so fair play. Just wanted to ask, you mentioned a manual for the torque specs on the box, where did you find that? I can't find one for s**t. Anyway... cheers.
@@driftcarsjp i went through all the gears but could never get reverse, by chance i went to put it from 6th to 5th and it dropped into reverse and i have confirmed this with a multimeter in the revers switch, i thought i had all the gates alined when i refitted the box, is it gearbox out again? cheers.
Just installed mine Quaife lsd today. Very good video. I wouldn't do this job by myself if not you. Thank you.

There's the link. Filming it wasn't too bad it was the editing that took longer than the job itself 🤣

How many hours work is this from a mechanic also do you have a marlin ecu?
Probably about 8 hours including removing and refitting gearbox. It just had a factory ecu
