    Hey! Great video, thanks. If I wanted to flush but use distilled water how would I do this? Use an air line in the hose and then fill with distilled? I’m not sure my countryside Uk water is so good!

      Depending on where you live. I'm in Sydney and the tap water is ok here.

    Hi mate I have a mq triton I have a lot of water sloshing in the dash have you had this problem heater?

      It's air in the cooling system. Make sure you bleed the system as in the video with heater on full hot.

    Hey mate, when replacing the radiator, if i try and plug the transmission lines, would i still need to have to top up the auto transmission oil? Will there be oil in the old radiator that will be removed from the system, resulting in the need of a top up?

      You shouldn't have to top up the auto as you won't lose much oil.

    Got my triton back from the mechanic a while ago and my overflow cap is missing and the tank is bone dry. Checked the radiator and the level is about an inch and a half below the cap. When i get a replacement cap and flush and add new coolant do I just fill up the overflow tank as well? Thanks for this guide

      You don't want to bother with that. it's a difficult job and will take a lot of time and tools.

    The coolant in my 2015 mq triton is red, but i got thr blue coolant in this video. Can i flush it out, and replace it with the blue? Is it ok if theres a little bit of red left in the system like in the overflow tank or other parts of the system?

      Yep. Try and flush as much out as possible but if a small amount or red coolant is still I'm the system it will he fine it won't cause any issues.

    Silly question; the hose you took off, is that the one where the hot water goes from the motor towards the internal core heater?

      Yes it's the heater hose.

    How do you know if the amount of water left in the system will make up a 50/50 combination with the new concentrate being added?

      You don't! and you will never have an exact 50/50 mix

      ok thanks@@driftcarsjp maybe i am overthinking the need for an exact 50/50 mix. I will be changing my radiator (first time ever doing it and coolant flush). Would I drain the old coolant, replace the radiator, then do the flush in this video and add the concentrate using the same method in this video? Really appreciate your reply.

      @subbiebuddy9634 when you have the radiator out you can flush the engine through the upper and lower radiator hoses.

      No not yet.. week fan can be fan speed controller and check ac gas for not cold.

      Haven't had that issue yet. I wouldn't think the engine would have to be removed. I'll have a look at my mates triton this week and get back to you.

    Will this flush work the same on a 2015 Triton 2.5L 4D56 engine? Heater hose goes straight into oil cooler so slightly different. Thanks. 😊

    Hey bud does the overflow bottle empty out when you drain it at the bottom or does that stay full? And with the concentrate do you add anymore water or from bottle straight into radiator. Cheers

      The overflow will stay full . And yes just add water to the concentrate into the radiator.

      Our tap water is ok to use in Australia. Use about 4 litres of coolant.

    Hi I have an issue where only the passenger side of the triton heating system is hot and the driver side is a good few degrees cooler. I have checked the air mix valves in the vent ducts and they are operating correctly. could this be a air lock that is causing my issue ? model is a 2016 dual climate zone, any advice would be appreciated.

      Hi could be air in the system. Most likely is that one of the the dual climate vent doors is not opening or closing correctly allowing cool air to come through when it should be closed. You can check this under the dash by adjusting the temp settings and watching the motors operate the heater flaps.

      The process is the same but Im not sure where the heater hose is on them..

      Concentrate is better as your not paying for water that's been added to the pre-mix.

      I fill the reservoir too.
      Depending on the colour of the coolant in the reservoir its a good time to wash out
      The old coolant.

    Hey mate, I had my coolant levels get pretty low due to a leak but it's since been fixed. But now I've got only heat coming from the passenger side and not the driver side (duel climate). I've tried bleeding the system and nothing's changed. Anything I can do?

      It is diluted, as when you flush the engine with water not all of the water will drain out of the block. That's the water your mixing it with.

    Hi mate, i refilled the coolant but only got about 4L in, there was a fair bit of the old coolant coming up the funnel and mixing together, is this gonna be an issue? All my old coolant didnt drain properly for some reason

      If you flushed it the same as in the video you should have no old coolant left in the system.
