First! All are huge improvements over stock and tps mod is definitely one of those things you have to experience the before and after to appreciate. Perfect stage 1 kit. Great video as always 🤘🏼😎

    Hi John,
At about 2:44, in your discussion of what you refer to as a possibly upcoming offering of a “stage 2” upgrade package that would involve a stage 1 tune (ECU remap), I was interested to hear you suggest that this would likely include the intake and exhaust mods and only possibly include an impeller change. Others who seem knowledgeable have suggested that the foremost change to accompany a stage 1 type remap would be the impeller - either some modifications to shorten the stock impeller or something like the Solas Concord YJ-CD-12/17 - to take advantage of the increased rev limit. On the other hand some people seem to suggest that the intake and exhaust changes may not make much performance differences with a stage 1 type map, and the benefits are more functional (opening up the spaces for improved access - say to the battery) and aesthetic (perhaps in terms of exhaust sound and cleaner appearance of engine compartment).
I am very interested in your thoughts about this, especially as regards performance bang for the buck if one’s budget does not allow for all of map tune / impeller / intake / exhaust changes?

Thank you for watching. Please reach out to me at the shop. I'd be happy to help you get set up. To I need your ski here to re-map the ECU, so hopefully you are close to us?

      Hi John,
Thank you. Sadly, I am not near you.
I have been told by others that either an impeller change or modification of the stock impeller (to make it shorter) is very important to see the performance benefits possible with a stage 1 type ECU map tune. Do you agree with this?
Also, I have been told that as regards upgrades to the intake and exhaust that the performance benefits of these with a stage 1 type map tune are relatively negligible, and that the primary benefits of these changes are really aesthetics (sound and engine compartment appearance) and better access to compartment at either end. Do you agree with this?

Yes, you need to make impeller changes to take advantage of a tune, and allow the engine to rev more. We have seen excellent performance gains on the SJ and many other skis we tune. Don't believe everything people say on the internet. We have done many videos of skis with tunes. SJ, SXR, Seadoo and Yamaha sit downs, etc.

Very nice ski... Congrats for the team up. Should be a winning combination. Did you say warranty? Is Yamaha offering warrantys on these units?
