This videos and others you have posted are great . Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to making great instructional videos on sole fitness equipment.
Thanks. Your video matches my experience for adjusting the treadmill. The manual, however, says different but your instructions are correct, in my experience. Gap too narrow: turn clockwise. Gap too wide : turn counter clockwise.
Thank you for this! Just moved and the treadmill def got shifted around with the belt. I was sitting here for an hour trying to figure out why the belt kept going to one side when they were both tight haha. Makes complete sense now!!
Hey Dave, thanks for this and all your other videos. Outstanding source for hints and general treadmill knowledge. I have a suggestion for a possible future video. I think I boogered up my belt while adjusting by getting it too tight. A video from you demonstrating how to test for proper tension might help me and others.
@@terrancemccann7657 Hmm in general then ! To really make sure your belt is not too tight do a walk test on belt, Carefully loosening Walk Belt until it slips some!! Then with small increments tighten back . This way you know for sure how tight it needs to be
good video. got mine centered but soon as we use it shifts though manual mentions not to over tighten but doesn't say how you know if you've over tightened. if it shifts after centering when you walk on it do you just tighten both sides the same amount? so maybe after it's centered like extra turn on each side or something?
If it is a newer model 2018 and newer yes they stopped using belt guides !then it is all you can do . If it keeps happening you may need a new roller but you are right.I would keep the last adjusting turn a half a turn at a time
I just go thee F85 and the manual says to use the left side to do both the left and right adjustment and to set treadmill at 3mph. Was this updated for new treadmills?
Well that makes no sense? I have not read the new manual not sure what that means I know in the field service process has not changed ! Could you post a pic of that page on you tube or my email Fitnesspartspro@gmail.com
We just got a Sole F80. The left side seems lose and slips a bit when walking but the right is fine. How do I correct this? If I tighten the left side the belt shifts to the right. The manual says the left side is used to shift the belt right and left and tighten the belt. I bit confused by this.
Well I find it is better to tighten the side it’s going to. The walk belt always goes to the loosest side Make small 1/4 turn adjustments at one mile an hour until balanced . If belt leans a little to one side but stays there and makes no noise it’s ok. Sometimes the concave of the roller holds the roller off center I have a video on explaining this also see my channel fitness technology services 👍please subscribe Dave
I’m freaking out cuz I tighten the side that leans more and it just gets worse and worse i hate it so much. It always runs to the left and clips I can’t even use the damn thing anymore. Why is there no levels or method to make sure they’re similarly tightened? It goes to the left I tighten it and it just gets. worse
Only tighten the left side a little see if it will move to the right side. Make sure you turning it to the right. If this doesn’t work your belt may be stretched and not holding adjustment
You have been so helpful. Instructions are terrible. You have helped so many people. God bless!
My pleasure

Well you are very welcome .Thank you so much
Thank you. The belt on my brand new treadmill kept hitting the side and making a crazy noise. Watching your video I was able to fix it myself.
That’s great and your welcome

Hmmm ok ,and as always thank you ! It is hard to over tighten belt you have to really try . Is this on your new unit!
Oh and yes good Idea 💡
@@FitnessTechnologyServices No, this is on my T101 which the F63 will replace.

There are two fasteners on each side. Are you doing the Allen or the Philips.
Allen 6 mm

@@FitnessTechnologyServices thank you, but not necessary. Just found it on Google. Thanks again!
How many miles can I expect to get out of the f63?
Well I am a mechanic at heart. For me too many things. How fast.how often. How hard the user hits the deck. How often lubed . Much More.
@@FitnessTechnologyServices I just purchased one with 1,000 miles. I hope there is lots of life left
@@hinklej2 well I will for sure agree on that. Sorry I am just better on troubleshooting
Now how do I get rid of the sqeak?

I’m having the same issue with the F80
Where can I order a tool for a sole fitness f85
It is a #6 metric any hardware store Let me know if you can’t find one
