Thank you use much for posting these videos. I have lubricated my 2020 F63 and I am trying to reset the lubrication message. I have a really stupid question - I see that you are supposed to press STOP, START, & ENTER, then push the key in. However, before I can begin that process the display is off since the key is not engaged. I can't understand how to initiate that sequence if the display is off? Do you have any thoughts? Thank you
@@brianlimbert9932 Try it anyway maybe the console will go into calibration? I am not sure what that means
@@brianlimbert9932 Also I think calibration is only start and speed up if you press enter you will go into engineering mode
Would you share what the name of the lubricant you used is?
@@marybrunette5771 well I have them on my website Fitnesspartspro.com. But in general We carry Nordic Track factory. Sole factory which they have it listed as lube that’s all they say white tube???
I have 10lb weights that I use while walking on Sole f80 (2016). They fell on the deck while running & the incline has been stuck on 15 & showing e3 error. All appears fine on the control board. My research indicates I may need a new incline sensor? Thanks for any help! I can still walk but only for 5mins. My calfs are going to explode if you don't help... 😢 😅
@@JayMulah73 Hmm sole doesn’t carry a incline sensor And the incline rarely falls I have replaced maybe 3 in 30 years . Not sure why dropping weights would cause any damage maybe the deck or walk belt ?? I would check the controller send me your serial numbers to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail so I can send you links for testing. By the way did you try calibration?
@FitnessTechnologyServices i tried the steps for Calibration but maybe I'm doing it wrong. It was unresponsive (operated normally) couldnt access nenu for settings just yet. Thanks for quick response. Im out of town til next Sat i will send then.
@ 👍
The weights landed right above the incline motor so it may have been enough impact to knock something loose. The only time the incline attempts to work is if I flip the main switch off & on. It moves down a tiny bit then right back up so it has some functionality. Its not moving up because its physically incapable. Its more like a factory response to something. The recalibration method seems to have good reviews so I will pray thats enough since I never actually completed. I saw to hold the stop & +speed button while inserting safe key etc. but i never quite got the rhythm of it lol. Others said hold stop & start & + speed so I will call Sole tomorrow & then again once I return home. Thansk
@ of course

I have a NordicTrack C900 Pro and replaced the belt with one that is the exact width of the original (visually verified). But the belt guides (bent metal, curved and slightly flared away from the center line on each side) that are mounted to the underside of the deck seem too close for the belt. The tips of the guides are touching the belt about 1/2" from the edge. So rather than the belt gliding between them, it is being pushed down, away from the underside of the deck by these guides. It seems like this will cause wear as the tips of these metal guides constantly rub on this location on the belt. I didn't move the guides, they don't look like they could be easily adjusted as much as would be needed to avoid this and they are stiff enough that they can't possibly get bent by accident. I almost never see these guides shown in any videos. Can you give your thoughts about where these guides should (or shouldn't) touch a belt? Many thanks!
@@ScottBrownCapeCod On Nordic Track they always touch the belt. If you move them you may have to adjust the walking belt a lot. But easy to do to find out
Thanks for the reply @ Wow, not the answer I expected! I found images and videos of other treadmill belt guides, and they always seem to steer the belt by pushing on the edge of the belt if it walks off center. But these are pointy tips that are constantly touching the belt in a very specific spot and causing the belt to cup. But as I said, I have to assume it was like this before and I never noticed it.
@@ScottBrownCapeCod well you could move them some just to see. Some units they only help just a little because the roller is contoured and helps hold the belt in center. I have a video on that under treadmill belt guide for sole unit
Thanks, appreciate

i have an f85 with an e7 error code. i have tried everything i can but long story short. the controller is receiving 120 volts. i checked the motor power leads and they read around 78v with the unit on the start screen. it will slowly decline but i havent waited how low it will go. when you hit start the voltage will jump to 100ish and thats when it triggers the code. i already recieved a replacement controller but it reads and does the same thing. hopefully you can offer some insight i have a 2000 paperweight!!
@@christianarias7397 That’s a tough one I have never checked the voltage drop. But if you have changed the controller with no help. You have to assume the console is sending a wrong signal

Hi Dave, what happens if the lower power control LED does not turn on ? I’ve trouble shot most common power issues (fuse, chord, power outlet) what do you suggest ?
@@MrJaystar27 More than likely your controller board is bad
Will the motor screw itself out if you didn’t stop it from going up?
@@NickMoises04 It is possible but that normally means the incline is bad. It should have internal stops
Great video, but if the motor is bad or resistance change is not working, how can we add slack the way you showed when removing the motor?
Mine is stuck in the zero resistance point, so there is not slack. The slack is all wrapped around the motor spindle. Can I unwind the motor manually to give more slack? It seems really hard to turn with pliers.
@@jason-m2p No I don’t think you can unwind by hand. You may have to remove the motor from frame ,then take off the metal bracket that holds the cable to the motor You should get plenty of slack Dave
I have a sol Recumbent LCR where it powers on and pedals fine right up to lvl 19 and operates stable, soon as you go beyond lvl 19 the bike will glitch losing all resistance and enter a boot start up loop until you unplug and replug, have you encountered this issue before?
@@BowserShien-f6b Never not Sure what that could be
6 year old video, but my E55 is a few years older than that. This was marginaly helpful, but the resistance motor on mine is completely different from this one. Key being there are no connectors on it at all. The assembly is also blue in color. The second issue was the motor isn't working at all, hence why I'm trying to replace it, so it's not possible to loosen it up to get slack on the cable.
@@MTGeomancer yep yours is the early model send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail.com some one will check if we can find it
I replaced the motor on Xterra, it runs under 1 amp without the load. Under the load the treadmil squeezes, amps go above 20, the rotation is not smooth when I walk. Then I get E02 error, as with the old motor. Do you think this is a walking belt issue?
@@vladimirl1556 wow wow I have never seen such a difference from no load to walking on . Normally it 1.9 no walking up to 10 amps when walk on sometimes 12 at most You sure your meter is right !! But you need a belt bad don’t use it until you change it. Send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail I will see what belt is best. Also check your deck look for worn spots or scratches . 20 amps is worrisome Dave
Awesome video!! The one thing I would add and it’s an absolute must if your belt wore into the deck most likely scrub the deck and re lubricate the deck while you have it completely uncovered before installing new belt. Thanks for the video again!!!

If the motor is running correctly, should the fan on the motor spin freely while the power is disconnected. My incline is stuck at max with no way of bringing it down. The fan seems to only nudge a small amount either way. I’m thinking if that span freely, it would rise and lower as expected.
@@Hoopey1 Yes I believe the fan should spin with movement
Awesome video! I have an F80 that errors out with a LS1 error. I hit start and absolutely nothing moves on it. The incline works on it just fine. I tested the motor and the motor works just fine. I replaced the control board and still had the same issue. I did notice that there was no lights from the power LED in the center Coming on. I tested the voltage coming off of the blue wires going into the board from the transformer and was getting half of a volt AC. Is it possible my transformer failed? Any other ideas on what could be causing the motor to not start?

@@squad3417 Well is it very little difference? Or none at all. And listen closely for a slight sound of gear motor trying to move If no change at all and no sound at all . I would start with the gear motor we have them on our website Fitnesspartspro. Com

I tried the broomstick method first but I found that I could only fit my hands flat under the belt as it was just too tight. With the hands being flat, I couldn't squeeze the tube. I ended up loosening the roller pins 10 rotations like the owners manual specified, lubed the deck, and then re-tightened the roller pins. Worked great! Thank you for the alternative method - I'm glad it works for you and others just fine and is a lot quicker than messing with the roller pins.

Hello! Hope you can give me a hand.. i have a c 7.5 that is on warranty and one technician has replaced the flywheel but now I have the resistance too hard..now 5 level is like the 7 level that i had before...
@@danidada6105 Hmm that may be in the flywheel? You can try adjusting the steel cable some of them have small adjustment nuts. This may help. But I don’t know your unit by heart
@FitnessTechnologyServices thanks for your answer. I got it better by adjusting the resistance manually but after that a loud scratching noise made me investigate the front and found out that the cover was scratching against the frame because the crank wasn't in line.. probably because the technician didn't disassembly the arms before taking off and putting on again the crank... Anyway sorry for the long reply...now I have tried to straighten the crank and it got also the resistance less harder but sometimes i still have a scratching noise...the technician didn't loose the belt before removing it, just pulling and pushing to put it on again after...so I'll check the tension of the belt today. Does all this make sense to you? Should I check something else for a scratching noise from the front left side? In your opinion does a tat-tat-tat-tat sound (always there) is the normal noise of the flywheel like the technician said? Because to me it sounded like belt related...

I have a older Sole F80. Had to replace the control board due to a LS1 error. Everything appeared to be fine after install. 2 weeks later I start getting a E2 Incline Error. I have done the pin test at the control board. I can see the up and down lights come on as I tap the pins. I can also hear the relays picking up and dropping out. What I don't understand is there is a constant 120V on the Black & White wires. I can out it in Calibrate Mode, it goes thru the process and throws the E2 Code at the end. The voltage when starting the calibration is 120V on the Black & White wires and doesn't disappear. As soon as I turn the Main Power Switch on the Black and White Wires show the 120V. Doesn't seem right! Do you have ant video's on how those cams switches are set or am I barking up the wrong tree. The Up & Down relays aren't being pulsed but the 1120V is across the Black & White wires. Any thoughts on what the problem is? Thank you!
@@Zipidy2Da Hmm none of my sole inclines have limit switches . So I did the test as best I could. You should not have constant power on black and white . There should be no power at start up even after countdown And there should be 110 on the red and white when going up, and 110 on the black and white going down. So maybe there is a pinch in the wire only allowing only power to one side. Or the console is only sending the down signal. You can try switching the red and black to see if you only get power on the red normally red is up, black is down hope this helps Don’t forget to support me and subscribe Dave
@@FitnessTechnologyServices When you remove the cover of the lift motor and your looking down the first thing you see is a 3 wire pot that senses the position of the lift and sends a signal back to the control card. This pot is mounted on a shaft. Also on that shaft just below the pot are 2 limit switches stacked 1 on top of the other. As the lift starts to elevate the shaft rotates and the pot relates back to the card the position of the lift. I believe as the lift reaches its maximum height the shaft rotates and the cam on that shaft hits the high limit switch turning off the ac so the lift doesn't overtravel. When the lift goes in the down direction the cam hits the low limit switch which keeps it from over traveling in the lower direction. So Am I correct about this. What's confusing is I-we know the incline motor has 3 wires that supplies the 120V for the up and down. When I remove the pot wires at the card, then also remove the 3 120V wires at the card that feed the lift, then turn the machine on, I read 120V between the Blk and Wht male studs on the card and I also read 120V on the Red and Wht male studs on the card. If I understand you there shouldn't be any voltage on those male studs until a relay picks up and the green lights for a up or lower signal is sent. Also to rule out the lift motor from having any problems, can you just hook 120V to the Up leads and let it go to its max and then hook up the 120V to the down leads and let it run till it hits the lowers? I think I have a bad card. Thank you!

@ all good, I’m going to replace a MOSFET and something called an SCR. Two of the 4 things mounted to the heat sink. I believe that should do it, I’ll keep you posted.
@ please do
@@FitnessTechnologyServices update: just installed, did not work. Considering junking the entire treadmill with brand new belt
@@cookieman876 Hmm if you just put a new belt on it you may want to consider replacing the controller . Send me your full model number to get a idea of how old it is so we can see if it is worth repair Dave
Great video and I just want to clarify that on the underside of the deck with the two braces, do you run the belt between the braces and the deck, or under the braces. Could you send a picture please of the underside of the installed new belt? I would like to see for sure where the belt is running. Thank you
@@victorvasas4690 The belt runs under the brace if run in between the brace and the deck the belt will not turn. And sorry I send a picture this was a service call. But I will try to remember the next time I change a walk belt
@@victorvasas4690 my video on changing F/80 deck my give you a better viewing
Watched all ur diy videos on the Sole e35. I’ve got the e2 motor error, comes on right when I power it on. Started the one time I used the hand bar to change the level. Any ideas ?
@@chuckpalmer3926 Well I would start with unhooking the connections from the handle bar to the console. It just plugs into the back of the console it is a 3 pin connection maybe the button is bad
@ thx, I’ll start there
THANK YOU SO MUCH
