I believe that NCT 127 is the best all-around group in Kpop, and I appreciate how much you enjoyed their individual vocal tones; one of their best features imo. “Walk” is their most recent comeback, and has a real hiphop feel to it. They’re performing as a 7-piece at the moment: The white-haired fellow that you liked is their leader, but he’s serving in the military at the moment, and the wonderful main vocalist in the collared sweater is still recovering from a motorcycle accident (he can sing and appear in their videos, but can’t dance yet, which limits his ability to perform onstage).

I can’t hear anything anymore with 127 being my fave unit. No longer, back 2 u, the rainy night, magic carpet ride, timeless, misty, gold dust, knock on, sun & moon, focus, love is a beauty, long slow distance, coming home, from home, angel, dreams come true, and even whiplash have all been tainted by his voice. Even my favorite kdrama is stained by him, and I’ll probably never be able to watch it again since he sings the main ost (starlight).

funny thing about sm: even if you're a rapper, if you can't SING you ain't debuting. period. they have the best nd highest standards for vocals in th industy. everyone. EVERYONE has to be able ot sing and sing well. even funnier about nct in particular [wayv dream & 127] -- most of the singers can also rap. it's insane. the pink haired kid here was considered a musical genius/ace because he had the best scores in the company for a long time for vocals dance and rap, and came in swinging hard.

For example, there are 11 native Korean members (*Taeyong, Doyoung, Taeil, Haechan, *Jaehyun, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung, Jungwoo, and new members Sion and Daeyoung), *Mark is Korean-Canadian, *Johnny is Korean-American (from Chicago), 5 Japanese members (Yuta and new members Riku, Yushi, Ryo and Sakuya), *Ten is Thai, *YangYang is Taiwanese but he grew up in Germany, Hendery is Chinese from Macau (China) and 5 mainland Chinese members (WinWin, Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun and Chenle). However, they all live and work in Korea, so everyone speaks Korean fluently. Plus, many members have attended international schools or lived abroad, so there are several members who are also *fluent in English, on top of speaking 2 or more other languages.
NCT is a group that is constantly changing and rearranging its members and sound and we never know quite what to expect from them. With a concept that allows the members to rotate between sub-units, changing, adding and subtracting members depending on the concept and style of the group or song, you should never expect the same thing from them. You are better off always expecting something new, that somehow, also ends up sounding very much like NCT. LOL
NCT is SM's attempt at taking over the music industry around the world. SM's original goal was to eventually have NCT sub-units representing every major city in every country in the world. For example, that's why WayV is their Mandarin sub-unit that promotes in China and NCT-WISH is their Japanese sub-unit that promotes in Japan. It has always been SM's plan to have world domination. And to that point, right now NCT-127 is the group that SM is using to try and get their foothold in the U.S. music market with all English versions of song like "Regular" and "Highway to Heaven" and collaborations with American artists such as Jason Derulo, as well as U.S. concert tours and promotional tours with the American media, etc.
So, this year is NCT's 8th anniversary, but debut dates are different for any number of members because it all depends on when they were added to the group. And many of the members of NCT actually became recognized by fans even before debut because they were part of SM's pre-debut group project called SMRookies (or the new members who were part of a reality survival show called LASTART), so SM did activities with several of the members before they debuted.

“Walk” is their most recent comeback, and has a real hiphop feel to it. They’re performing as a 7-piece at the moment: The white-haired fellow that you liked is their leader, but he’s serving in the military at the moment, and the wonderful main vocalist in the collared sweater is still recovering from a motorcycle accident (he can sing and appear in their videos, but can’t dance yet, which limits his ability to perform onstage).

I can’t hear anything anymore with 127 being my fave unit. No longer, back 2 u, the rainy night, magic carpet ride, timeless, misty, gold dust, knock on, sun & moon, focus, love is a beauty, long slow distance, coming home, from home, angel, dreams come true, and even whiplash have all been tainted by his voice. Even my favorite kdrama is stained by him, and I’ll probably never be able to watch it again since he sings the main ost (starlight).

The voice you often complimented was Jaehyun - he has an album coming out tomorrow - if you want a taste of one of the best albums of the year, in my opinion, there is a highlight melody as well as an MV for two of his songs (combined into 1 video - he sings like 1/3 - 1/2 of each) called Dandelions and Roses
The airy voice you liked was Doyoung - he also released his first album not to long ago - its really good you should check it out :)
