I love hearing OG SM stans talk about SM's younger groups! The reason why you love SM is the same as me- the vocals, harmonies, stacking, mixing. I think this along with the interactions they have between groups is what really sets SM apart from other entertainments.
I'm not a fan of Korean pop but NCT R&B, Ballad b-sides really sold me out. They're young and so versatile and their music brings me back to the old school boybands I used to love back in the 90s. I hope they'll get recognized more out there because their music quality is absolutely outstanding.

jaehyun...the "ajushi" is a prada ambassador...he is main vocalist and sub rapper n all nct members are great dancers!! 127 just had their first subunit debut...made up of the guy with the heart on his clothes...doyoung n mr. baritone...jaehyun and the guy with the long tan sweater ...jungwoo...they call themselves Nct DoJaeJung....their mini album is very good...they r all from the vocal line....do check them out. and yes...Nct 127 is a fixed team.
Regarding the members/ units confusion: NCT as Vogue is a good analogy, NCT 127= Vogue Korea NCT DREAM=Vogue Teen(they started off as teens but now adults) WayV= Vogue China NCT U= Vogue Special Edition (it changes with every “season” or occasion because with every comeback the lineup is different; a mix) Thus, the only not fixed unit
nct 127 is a fixed unit so yes they’re together all the time. about what you said it being less experimental then you expected nct bsides are usually less experimental with their title tracks usually being the opposite. nct isn’t for everyone if you enjoy them you enjoy them.

Stumbled upon your channel and was really happy to see this reaction! I love SM for their artistry and ability to challenge the norm and create music not everyone will expect. That's the main reason why NCT is my favorite group in kpop right now. Of course, there are some people who aren't going to like their title tracks (mainly NCT 127 title tracks), but their b-sides are so much different. If you like R&B, NCT 127 is the group that does it the most authentically in today's generation of kpop groups in my opinion. Many have already answered your question, but 127 is a fixed unit. The only unit that isn't is NCT U. Whenever the whole group comes together, they become NCT (insert the year the entire group released music together) and that isn't a fixed unit either. I hope to see more NCT on your channel! :)
NCT 127 has a very good balance of vocals and rap. Their musicality is also diverse, it's never boring to listen to them. Their B-sides are also gold! Did I also mention they all look good? ☺
I do not think many people noticed, but when they did 2 baddies u can tell they were tired, it was the last one, and I heard they did 2 takes for all the songs together so that must be tiring too, they are incredibly talented.

NCT are by far most known for their the whole experimental music(noise music). I’m not sure but I think they’re the ones that started this trend too? It might be hard to get into and a huge hit or miss depending on the person~ Personally I’ve grown accustomed and love their music(not all ofc but their earlier releases were pretty dope)
One of the things that confused people was the graduation system for the youngest member unit - NCT Dream. The kids were supposed to graduate when they turned 20 and ... well... who knows where they were supposed to go. lol But when Mark (the one who did a lot of the rapping on Dingo) graduated, everyone went crazy with grief and SM decided to put him back in. From that time, Dream became a fixed unit. Mark is so talented that he's also in 127 (another fixed unit) and then they threw him into SuperM as well. He's also occasionally in an NCT U (stands for NCT United) project and he does solo work as well. THIS is why they call him the hardest working man in k-pop. Thank you for the reaction to 127! ❤

Nct 127 and Nct dream and wayv are unit fix from nct and doesn’t change. They have literally good songs to listen and live perfomances videos on RUclips as well.

I think you would really enjoy NCT DOJAEJUNG (they are a trio consisting of 127 members Doyoung (heart guy), Jaehyun (ajussi) and jungwoo (was dancing the whole time in killing voice) and they had their debut a few days ago). Their album and title track “perfume” is really vocally driven

Yes, the younger version of EXO - they're the little brothers to EXO. In the last 3 years into my journey into Kpop, NCT really stood out to me and then I discovered EXO. NCT doesn't get enough credit on how they're so incredibly talented. Their lean to RnB is what I especially enjoy but I also enjoy their brotherhood and being able to watch their tremendous growth. Knowing who each of the members are just adds to my awesome experience. I was so glad I experienced their Dingo video before seeing them in concert for the first time. Absolutely love them, especially 127.
It may not show in a singing showcase but Nct127s LEADER & driving force is that precious platinum blond boy, Lee Taeyong. "TY" is SMS excentrically excellent superstar; Main Rapper, Main Dancer, Center Face & Fashionista in a squad SO skilled & special that every member would be Mains in any other group) Still TAEYONG is the sure wind in the FULL sails of the sleek swift NCT127 flagship. He also stands as the "Pillar" of NCT, the idol template for the entire NCTFranchise & demanding yet fond mentor to 23 kids in their assorted NCT units. And he just became NCTs first ever Soloist with his debut album Shalala. Check that out for sure. Taeyong & Mark, tapped for SM supergroup SuperM, are NCTs respected Rap Duo. Marks solid swaggy flows in perfect sync with taeyongs speed style & ferocity have raised the bar for ALL SM rappers. And yes there ARE many in NCT. ALL NCTidols dance AS well as they sing & rap. So its well worth checking out 127 MVs & stage vids as well as taeyongs solo work cause tgey are all fiercely good ON STAGE but that taeyong boy is truly...a kpop beast.
the one thing in nct is that i personally like to see in there music is that they have a role each unit, NCT U produces every type of music, NCT DREAM is more cheerful and brings ur moodup, WAYV has those sexy and dark-ish type of songs, NCT 127 is more rnbish or noisy boppy songs

the title tracks can be pretty experimental (its their whole "neo" concept) and a couple of their Bsides have their iconic neo sound but they still have a bunch of R&B and Ballads in their discography :D and if you're checking out more of 127s music I recommend also listening to NCT Dream, Wayv, and NCT U (the other subunits of NCT) Dreams music usually has a very refreshing and uplifting vibe to them to fit with their original concept (minors who graduated into other groups) Wayv have a much stronger tech sound to most of their songs (most of their MVs also have a lot of tech and sci-fi aspects to them) and U are combinations of all of them (my favorite U albums are NCT U DOJAEJUNG Perfume (which came out 2 days ago, featuring Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo) and their 2021 project UNIVERSE (which features 21out of the 23 members of NCT) also worth noting is NCT Tokyo (name still pending) the last Unit of NCT that have yet to debut
NCT 127 is really great - great voices, great raps, great songs. But I keep thinking something is missing. If only these dudes could dance too, you know?

In nct all units Vocalists can sing rappers can rap. All rounder group I hope the concept of the group won’t stop you from listening to them !! The one you kept mentioning with the red heart is nct’s main vocalist doyoung he’s an amazing singer and he’s part of nct first trio subunit with the one on the end and the one in beige, they just released a new song for their debut album ! Nct mostly this unit are known for experimental but good title tracks, and good bsides mostly rnb group!
The thing about NCT is that if there’s a unit that’s not NCT U or NCT 2018/2020/2021 etc., they’re a fixed unit. The only “rotational” unit is NCT U which any of the NCT members are combined for a song/comeback. I absolutely adore this system/unit because there aren’t crossovers between units other than Mark & Haechan who are in 127 & Dream, so I love seeing members who aren’t in a unit together perform and combine their strengths. Also NCT * insert year * that I mentioned before is not a unit but a project title, where NCT releases a full length album, where they promote as the entire group (all fixed units and 20+ members) every few years e.g. NCT 2018 “Empathy”, NCT 2020 “Resonance”, NCT 2021 “Universe”. The albums consist of a unit song from each fixed unit, then a bunch of NCT U songs where it’s different members together. It’s so much fun because they do many promotions with all the members and it’s literally SM’s best marketing strategy in my opinion. NCT 127 is a fixed unit, NCT Dream is a fixed unit, WayV (NCT’s chinese subunit) is a fixed unit, NCT DoJaeJung (new unit that debut literally yesterday with 3 members of 127) are a fixed unit. NCT Dream are personally my favorite unit and this is random but my profile picture is actually my favorite idol Park Jisung who’s NCT’s maknae & Main Dancer and in NCT Dream. I love 127’s music too but each unit has such a distinct style/personality while still having an NCT vibe, so one unit’s discography could match someone’s taste more while still fully enjoying the others as well. Also SM will not be adding anymore members after this year, so I think that they will just create more fixed units and music with this group of members.

NCT 127 b-sides are more "calm" if you put it like that but if you only listen to the Title tracks its the total oposite. Actually there were title tracks here but they used the "slow parts" of the song.

Yep this was everything I hoped while waiting for this! Doyoung (sweet voice), Taeil (powerful) and Haechan (pink hair) are absolutely insane vocalists and Mark + Taeyong (two main rappers) are ridiculously talented as well. And as you noted - as great as all of the members are individually, they fit together so well when stacking their vocals. As for the probably hundreth NCT explanation you're gonna get: *NCT* is the whole big group, with (at the moment) three fixed units (meaning the members stay the same) - *NCT 127* : basically the group most people think of when hearing "nct" and known for their experimental titletracks that are either hit or miss with people - *NCT Dream* : younger members, formerly had a graduation concept that got scrapped and they became a fixed unit (best decision SM could've made tbh) - *WayV* : the chinese unit Then there is *NCT U*, which is a rotational group and is the one that seems to confuse most people: All NCT members can be part of a NCT U comeback, they pick whoever fits the current concept best (which is really exciting cause you get to see "rare" interactions between members who otherwise haven't spent much on camera time with each other and you never know what you're gonna get) *NCT 2018/2020/2021* are special projects where the entirety of NCT gets together to release an album - many different unit songs, and a few with all of them together.

I think you would really enjoy NCT DOJAEJUNG (they are a trio consisting of 127 members Doyoung (heart guy), Jaehyun (ajussi) and jungwoo (was dancing the whole time in killing voice) and they had their debut a few days ago). Their album and title track “perfume” is really vocally driven
I'm sure you will love NCT 127! They have a lot of great B-sides that will be to your liking💚 Their title tracks do tend to be more on the hip-hop side but their b-sides have a lot more colour🫶

Yes, the younger version of EXO - they're the little brothers to EXO. In the last 3 years into my journey into Kpop, NCT really stood out to me and then I discovered EXO. NCT doesn't get enough credit on how they're so incredibly talented. Their lean to RnB is what I especially enjoy but I also enjoy their brotherhood and being able to watch their tremendous growth. Knowing who each of the members are just adds to my awesome experience. I was so glad I experienced their Dingo video before seeing them in concert for the first time. Absolutely love them, especially 127.

Taeyong & Mark, tapped for SM supergroup SuperM, are NCTs respected Rap Duo. Marks solid swaggy flows in perfect sync with taeyongs speed style & ferocity have raised the bar for ALL SM rappers. And yes there ARE many in NCT.
A true team player of his 127 squad, in more & more comebacks, taeyong has cut back on his own rap verses so 127s vocal line get to demonstrate that ALL the singers in NCT127 can quite presentably rap. The RETURN gesture to make room for SINGER taeyong in the competitive vocal line has not open for him. Sadly we barely recognize the sweet sound of tayongs singing voice
In this crowded field of main level vocalists,Taeyongs official assignment remains "sub vocals"
its only been in his self written solo songs that we are finally hearing just HOW well lee taeyong sings
And (of course!) ALL NCTidols dance AS well as they sing & rap. So its well worth checking out 127 MVs & stage vids as well as taeyongs solo work cause tgey are all fiercely good ON STAGE but that taeyong boy is truly...a kpop beast.

the one thing in nct is that i personally like to see in there music is that they have a role each unit, NCT U produces every type of music, NCT DREAM is more cheerful and brings ur moodup, WAYV has those sexy and dark-ish type of songs, NCT 127 is more rnbish or noisy boppy songs

the title tracks can be pretty experimental (its their whole "neo" concept) and a couple of their Bsides have their iconic neo sound but they still have a bunch of R&B and Ballads in their discography :D
and if you're checking out more of 127s music I recommend also listening to NCT Dream, Wayv, and NCT U (the other subunits of NCT)
Dreams music usually has a very refreshing and uplifting vibe to them to fit with their original concept (minors who graduated into other groups)
Wayv have a much stronger tech sound to most of their songs (most of their MVs also have a lot of tech and sci-fi aspects to them)
and U are combinations of all of them (my favorite U albums are NCT U DOJAEJUNG Perfume (which came out 2 days ago, featuring Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo) and their 2021 project UNIVERSE (which features 21out of the 23 members of NCT)
also worth noting is NCT Tokyo (name still pending) the last Unit of NCT that have yet to debut
NCT 127 is really great - great voices, great raps, great songs. But I keep thinking something is missing. If only these dudes could dance too, you know?
imo 2/3 are fantastic and the others are above average. ofc everyone’s got a choreo where they perform best but they’re all consistent to me most of the time idk 🤷♀️

In nct all units Vocalists can sing rappers can rap. All rounder group I hope the concept of the group won’t stop you from listening to them !! The one you kept mentioning with the red heart is nct’s main vocalist doyoung he’s an amazing singer and he’s part of nct first trio subunit with the one on the end and the one in beige, they just released a new song for their debut album ! Nct mostly this unit are known for experimental but good title tracks, and good bsides mostly rnb group!

The thing about NCT is that if there’s a unit that’s not NCT U or NCT 2018/2020/2021 etc., they’re a fixed unit.
The only “rotational” unit is NCT U which any of the NCT members are combined for a song/comeback. I absolutely adore this system/unit because there aren’t crossovers between units other than Mark & Haechan who are in 127 & Dream, so I love seeing members who aren’t in a unit together perform and combine their strengths.
Also NCT * insert year * that I mentioned before is not a unit but a project title, where NCT releases a full length album, where they promote as the entire group (all fixed units and 20+ members) every few years e.g. NCT 2018 “Empathy”, NCT 2020 “Resonance”, NCT 2021 “Universe”. The albums consist of a unit song from each fixed unit, then a bunch of NCT U songs where it’s different members together. It’s so much fun because they do many promotions with all the members and it’s literally SM’s best marketing strategy in my opinion.
NCT 127 is a fixed unit, NCT Dream is a fixed unit, WayV (NCT’s chinese subunit) is a fixed unit, NCT DoJaeJung (new unit that debut literally yesterday with 3 members of 127) are a fixed unit.
NCT Dream are personally my favorite unit and this is random but my profile picture is actually my favorite idol Park Jisung who’s NCT’s maknae & Main Dancer and in NCT Dream. I love 127’s music too but each unit has such a distinct style/personality while still having an NCT vibe, so one unit’s discography could match someone’s taste more while still fully enjoying the others as well.
Also SM will not be adding anymore members after this year, so I think that they will just create more fixed units and music with this group of members.

The most basic, simplistic way to explain NCT is this;
*NCT (Neo Culture Technology)* currently has 23 members who are normally split into 3 *FIXED* member units *(NCT 127, NCT Dream & WayV),* where the member lineups typically do not change... and 1 *NON-FIXED* unit *(NCT U),* where any of the overall members can be on a track, just depending on who fits that particular concept best... think of this as the "mix-n-match" unit. Could be 2 members on one track and 9 on the next 🤷♀️, we never know until it drops.
However, we normally only see NCT U during special all-member album eras, of which there have been 3 of in the 7 years they've been active. The next is scheduled for this year, so be on the look out for NCT 2023! 😉
While their title tracks tend to be hype, hard-hitting and rap-focused... their bsides are where the vocalists really get to shine and the music runs the gamut of genres, but there is a heavy focus on R&B.

Yep this was everything I hoped while waiting for this! Doyoung (sweet voice), Taeil (powerful) and Haechan (pink hair) are absolutely insane vocalists and Mark + Taeyong (two main rappers) are ridiculously talented as well. And as you noted - as great as all of the members are individually, they fit together so well when stacking their vocals.
As for the probably hundreth NCT explanation you're gonna get:
*NCT* is the whole big group, with (at the moment) three fixed units (meaning the members stay the same)
- *NCT 127* : basically the group most people think of when hearing "nct" and known for their experimental titletracks that are either hit or miss with people
- *NCT Dream* : younger members, formerly had a graduation concept that got scrapped and they became a fixed unit (best decision SM could've made tbh)
- *WayV* : the chinese unit
Then there is *NCT U*, which is a rotational group and is the one that seems to confuse most people:
All NCT members can be part of a NCT U comeback, they pick whoever fits the current concept best (which is really exciting cause you get to see "rare" interactions between members who otherwise haven't spent much on camera time with each other and you never know what you're gonna get)
*NCT 2018/2020/2021* are special projects where the entirety of NCT gets together to release an album - many different unit songs, and a few with all of them together.
