- Sweet sweet vocals. Best way to describe them is Candy...appropriately ^^. Perhaps I have talked too much about some other stuff and please excuse me for that. I felt like I need to explain my self before heading in due to my personal thoughts on SM. Love and respect turning into a bit of a disappointment in later times. But I hope you enjoy and try to bare a different perspective from outside looking in.

Guy name is LEE JENO (white hair) he was a cf model/child actor already famous for being the angpang (milk cf) kid wayy before he joined sm, he’s the first k-pop idol to opened luxury fashion designer Peter Do's Spring/Summer 2023 nyfw runway show and now he’s Ferragamo's first male global ambassador. 💗💗

Dream originally had a graduation system where members would graduate once they became adults. Under this system, Mark graduated, and everyone was heartbroken. But then SM changed the system and made Dream a fixed unit and Mark rejoined them. Thats why they call themselves 칠Dream (7Dream) since they will always have the original 7 members from now on.
It's so interesting that you mentioned that Girls Generation feel like your nieces because a lot of NCT Dream fans call them their nephews/sons. They also debuted when they were very young and had more of cute songs which some fans-not me bcs I'm 2 years younger than their maknae so I feel like I grew up with them-didn't like and honestly just didn't want to check out children (they're currently 21-24 but in their 8th year since debut) until they had more mature music. So they preferred the other units and refused to check out Dream until probably 2019.
Looking back I'm actually glad they had much more cute songs because it's actually more comfortable that they had songs that feel age appropriate, since these days there are some groups who have minors but they do "sexy" concepts and it's just very uncomfortable. So how you were talking about Girls Generation is actually how a lot of people have perceived NCT Dream so I enjoyed your little talk in the beginning.
I feel like nct dream is such a balanced group all of their voices bring something to the music they put out

the thing is in NCT the only group that changes is NCT U. So NCT Dream have been together since they were like 11-13 and debuted after training for 3-4 years and have been together for 10+ years, same for 127 the members have known each other for like 10 years now. Even though members were added to 127 it was in the first 2 years of their career and the 2 members who were added were members that everyone in NCT had trained with. Then WayV debuted 3 years after 127 and Dream and again they're also members who had trained together and even with the existing NCT members.
NCT U is just a unit to utilize bringing different members who aren't in the same team together for songs like once a year. They release an album once a year (like recently NCT 2023) which includes all the units and all the songs are labeled "NCT U" because it indicates that this is a song made that has members from who aren't in the same team together. You get so many different songs with members you haven't had the opportunity to see together a lot since they're usually only with their team like any other kpop group and its honestly very fun.
nct overall rnb based group, but nct’s concept itself is trying and doing different genres, experimenting and coming up w something new with every comeback, in this killing voice, they did their titles in chronological order, that’s why it was more light hearted , bcs they debuted at the very young age(14-17)and their concept was bright, but their bsides now are so diverse and more rnb, also, i think the reason for them to chose those exact songs is to balance them for live singing, bcs if you listen to their bsides there’re a lot of high note songs and with a lot of adlibs , so singing them back to back would’ve been quite hard, that’s why they did lesser bsides from their newer albums(from 2020)
Wow... They were really young. That makes a lot of sense. I gotta check out their B sides. I think I would like the sound a lot.

So our 3 main vocalists who you actually pointed out a few times. Sweet voice guy number 1 second on the left is Huang Renjun, Sweet voice guy number 2 second on the right is Zhong Chenle and the one at the end on the right that you really like is Lee Haechan.

Poison is a new song on their most recent album, it’s an R&B song and Haechan’s favorite, I heavily recommend it if you want to listen to something different from them. Quiet Down, Boom are also less candy like songs !
I myself am more into NCT 127’ sound but Dream has really good songs too. NCT U would be fun as well for you to get into as the lineup is always different hehe They’ve released a new album recently as well as track videos and performances from their NCT Nation concert for them.

thanks for the reaction! the thing with nct, any unit really, is that their bsides are gold, i don’t know why they choose to promote such out there title tracks, but the bsides are so incredibly good that you wonder if it’s really the same group hah a bit of a shame they didn’t touch much on their r&b tracks on this but it was expected from a fan’s pov… i’m glad they got to show their vocal abilities though

They hold the main rapper & main vocal in both group.

your comment on the song graduation (26:35) is so so meaningful, thank you for sharing that too. nct dream actually had a graduation system similar to h.o.t and super junior's. one of the members did graduate (the one on the very left who gave the speech) but the members and the fans fought to bring him back into the group! and nct dream became very successful, too. so in 2020, sm took the graduation system away and brought him back to complete them again as a 7-member group (that's why they call themselves 7dream sometimes!).
that's also the mesage behind their song "graduation." as their way of saying goodbye to the graduation system and celebrating that they're finally together for as long as they wish to be ^^
H.O.T and Super Junior never had a graduation concept. Lee Sooman wanted them to have one, but their fans refused. He finally got to make it happen in NCT Dream.

Hmm, I wonder if you're recognising Jeno (white hair) from days as a child model who would pop up in some korean TV adverts? He's got the same features as he had as a kid, very recognisable, and a lot of interviewers usually say they recall his milk advert specifically once they realise its him lol.
the guy in the right is haechan. he's a singer songwriter in nct. he's just released a new song called N.Y.C.T with the other member in haechan's another group.

46:19 ok so I understand what you mean but almost all of nct members trained together so they still went through hard times together of course not all of them are close to each other at the same level but within every unit they all have a special friendship like dreamies they all know each other since they're 12-15 years old they basically grew up together and their 127 hyungs as they call them took care of them when they were young and even now they still take care of them so they're all close but not at the same level that's why they did it's awkward but it's ok a show where the members choose 2 members they think aren't close with each other and try to make them closer and it actually worked lol
they call themselves as 칠드림 = 7dream = nct dream with 7 members (because mark was out for a while than comeback). the original plan was nct dream members “graduate” as they got older, but they cancelled it. mark come back and now they are 7dream forever 💚
About the team connection you talked about in the end. That is NCT U. I like the concept so I can hear different members together something different from the fixed units. I think you are going to like NCT DOJAEJUNG alot. It is a trio of Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo.
I would maybe recommend checking out some content they did with all members. You will see that not all members are close but still work well together. I think NCT U was made just to experiment with songs as some have 2 members and other songs 8 members. So what I recommend is before still checking out WAYV the chinese unit. That sing in mandarin and have members from China(Kun, WinWin), HongKong(Xiaojun, Hendery) and Thai(Ten) and Taiwanese(YangYang) + Lucas who as well is from HongKong but he left this year just like Sungchan and Shotaro who weren't in fixed units. Were supposed to be in the unit that was announced NCT JAPAN but they dropped into RIIZE. The new SM boygroup.
NCT JAPAN has 8 members and the last unit for NCT.
One thing that all members share is appreciation for their leader Taeyong. You will see it many times. He is in a fixed unit being NCT 127 but always looks out for other units. He came to support NCT DREAM when they debuted. As well WAYV woth for example Phantom last year. Overall hisembers look up to him even the ones that are around his age and his friends in 127.
Idk how to explain this but I really like NCT's concept. NCT U allowed them to connect with different members.

NCT U which is a mixed bag of all the NCT members features more ballads but there is not fixed genre. Dream's songs for the most part are geared for a younger audience. Enjoyed your input. Heachan and Mark the two guys on the end are also fixed members of NCT 127.

hii thank you for reacting to this killing voice, nct dream are such a fun group! If I may suggest a new group i recommend boynextdoor,they are a rookie boy group that debuted 3 months ago with koz entertainment under hybe and they’re currently having their first comeback already. Although they are very young, many people feel that their sound is very different especially for kpop. Some of their members also contribute to the songwriting. If you do react to them this is the order to watch the music videos in for the story line:
