I never understood when people come to reaction channels and leave a comment about how they don’t like the pausing/ talking💀 like if you didn’t come for a reaction just go watch the music video… it’s not rocket science
@chesiresays he does pause and go back a bit frequently but it's better to be thorough and the longer someone does reaction channels the better they get at picking up more with fewer replays. Or maybe he just likes rewatching! Either way, solid reactions
Wow, you notice Winter from the first time she opened her mouth in Black Mamba 🙂, I am impressed. I love her voice so much, she always stands out to me, no wonder she is my bias. Having said that, everyone is aespa are extremely talented. I really enjoyed your reaction and I am looking forward to more aespa reactions. I recommend Drama next, I think you will like it a lot.
hes doing debut song, most popular and the newest release although hot mess is technically the newest. hes probably gonna make another part (i hope so)
Her voice is thin and high-pitched, not husky IMO. Lee Mujin showcased her natural tone across three non-AESPA tracks. Powerful but can be shrill and/or harsh on the treble end.
To me her voice is just annoying 😅it’s the reason I don’t listen to their music. Her voice is just screeching to me, especially her high notes. No hate, just my opinion
I'm super pause picky about reactors and you have never bothered me. You have real thoughts and opinions on each song, you're not just talking to provide filler. I enjoy that and through you have found groups I never would have listened to. I'm glad you're not trying to break down every 'bar' in the song like you know the group you're listening to for the first time and what they were thinking when they wrote it. Keep doing you. Aespa DID have an AI concept, I think they still do. There's storyline in their music and it's really good.
0:51 oh please🙄 just ignore those people. They are the same ones who will complain when you talk over the video or you overreact. How can he react if he can't talk and state his observations. Also none forces anyone to watch a video, if you don't like it, just move to another🤦🏾♀️
Love a reactor who pauses videos bc it means that they are enjoying the content. Loved that u actually explained what u liked in detail. It was a really good reaction.
i was never really into aespa like that before armageddon but THAT SONG HAS HAD A CHOKE HOLD ON ME SINCE IT CAME OUT. the dancing, the melody, the drop, the music video, ugh it was amazing
I love your approach of new groups with the three songs. I can recommend Drama, everyone loved it! Personally, I like Illusion as well but also many other b-sides and Hold on Tide (English song). Savage is loved, too, and has a good rap. I am not into it enough to explain their lore, but they have AI-counterparts. Kwangya is something like a virtual world and the black mamba is evil. There is a series for it. The lore is not as prominent in the newer songs because Kwangya was the idea of Lee So Man and since he is out of SM, they change things.
LET'S GOOOOO black mamba 1:07 Karina, leader, main rapper and vocalist 1:41 ningning, maknae and main vocalist 1:52 Winter, main vocalist 2:57 Giselle, main rapper and vocalist next level 12:23 ningning 12:32 winter (13:34 Naevis first appear) 14:58 giselle 15:08 karina Armageddon 20:19 karina 20:47 winter 20:53 ningning 20:58 giselle
@@Mineiradofuturo this is a common misconception but winter is not a main vocalist😭 it doesnt say anywhere not even on weverse. shes still the lead vocalist
As with all the groups under SM Entertainment, their storylines and concepts are all part of SM's Universe, including aespa's storyline. It is even speculated that aespa's story connects to EXO's and SM supergroup, SuperM's storylines. I think SM has set it up so that at least all of their third generation groups -- and now even fourth gen. groups, with the introduction of aespa -- have storylines that connect, link together and intertwine. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together there are threads of connections between the groups. However, in order to understand aespa's storyline you really need to watch their MVs and content in order of when they were released. As a point of reference, the videos should go in order of: (their "Black Mamba" MV, then their "Next Level" MV), and then their "aespa ep.1 'Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video, then their "Savage" MV, then "aespa ep. 2 'Next Level' - SM Culture Universe" video, then their "Illusion" lyric video, their "Life's Too Short" MV, then their "Girls" MV, then their "aespa ep.3 'Girls (Don’t you know I’m a Savage?)' - SM Culture Universe" video, "Welcome to MY World MV and finally their "I'm Unhappy" track video. By watching all these videos in this order, you will see the group's story unfold in the order in which SM intended. As with everything that SM does, aespa is much more than just a singing group. SM created this group with the idea that they would become characters within SM's Universe and help to expand on the story that started with EXO. SM's SM Culture Universe has now grown to involve everything the company does. (You could sort of think of it like the Marvel franchise. Each of the Marvel characters has their own storyline, merchandise and fans, but the stories and concepts often overlap and connect. And with each new character that is introduced it expands on the whole Marvel universe.) aespa's "aespa ep.1 'Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video that was released right before their MV for "Next Level" was released and their "aespa ep. 2 'Next Level' -- SM Culture Universe" video that was released before their "Girls" MV are particularly important to watch because they are the first and second episodes of aespa's drama and these videos add a lot more detail and background information to help you understand aespa's storyline. As you can see, aespa is a four member girl group whose concept revolves around the fact that their name means "avatar experience" and in Season 1 of their storyline, each of the girls has an avatar character -- which you will see represented by their animated characters in their MVs -- so they also are superhero-like beings, just like EXO and the members of SuperM. Their avatars aren't exactly "virtual members," but they are virtual characters that represent each of the members in the digital realm. As part of aespa's concept, it is thought that anyone who does anything online has a virtual character that lives online that represents them -- everytime we do anything online we leave a piece of digital DNA, which is what is used to create our digital selves or avatar. If you watch the ep. 1, ep. 2 and ep. 3 videos I suggested above, this will all become more clear and aespa's concept should make more sense. And just like EXO, the members of aespa all have their own powers and symbols that represent them: 💗Karina (Yoo JiMin) is the leader of the group, she is a main dancer and lead rapper: her symbol is a heart and her spirit animal is a whale. She is Korean. 🌕Giselle (Uchinaga Aeri) is the main rapper and a vocalist: her symbol is the moon and her spirit animal is a unicorn. She is Japanese-American. ⭐Winter (Kim MinJeong) is a lead dancer, lead/main vocalist and the visual of the group: her symbol is a star and her spirit animal is a Siberian Husky dog. She is Korean 🦋NingNing (Níng Yìzhuo) is the maknae and the main vocalist: her symbol is a butterfly and her spirit animal is a tiger. She is Chinese. In order to understand aespa's storyline, you really have to pay attention to the lyrics of their songs, because the lyrics help to explain aespa's concept and what is happening in their MVs. The Black Mamba (sometimes represented by the snake) they refer to in their songs is a dark force created by a computer hacker that stops them from connecting to their avatars. As the "Black Mamba" lyrics say, they "synk out," etc. and you see all the glitches happening. The aespa members are trying to overcome the Black Mamba and connect with their avatars again. The way I see it is, there are two dimensions: aespa in the real world and their avatars (Kwangya) world. Aespa are connected to their avatars and everything the aespa members do in real life gives power to their avatars. However, because of the Black Mamba's temptation, aespa and their avatars cannot connect through the SYNK app anymore, so their avatars become lost. In "Black Mamba" you see Ningning as she is searching through the Kwangya world on her computer trying to find their avatars. Ningning and the other members are lured into the Kwangya realm by the Black Mamba. But there seems to be some sort of crossover between realms as well. For example, in the train scene in "Black Mamba", aespa in the real world is also being overcome by the Black Mamba. Their world seems to be in ruins or being destroyed. In the last scene of "Black Mamba", the avatars seem to be drawn into aespa's real world. This is where they establish the fact that aspea, from now on, probably, will be spending a majority of their storyline fighting the Black Mamba alongside their avatars. I also see the train scene in "Black Mamba" as possibly being connected to the train scenes in SM's Universe storyline. I think that the train theme is somehow connected to SuperM's/EXO's storyline, however, I am not sure how yet. All I know is that, we see SuperM in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see SHINee in an old train station in their "Don't Call Me" MV and Baekhyun from EXO is on an old train in his solo "Bambi" MV. We even see EXO's Kai on train tracks in his "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and people on a subway train platform as it transitions to his song "Mmmh." And before that we saw Key from SHINee in a subway train in his solo debut "One of Those Nights" MV. And if we go back even further, you see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX (which Baekhyun is also a member of) on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. From what I know about how SM is constantly designing the story to connect between the groups, I am pretty sure this means that they are all connected. The colorful butterfly is Ningnig's symbol, so you will see it all the time in their MVs as she navigates through the digital world. You also will see a butterfly appear in several of SM Entertainment's other groups' MVs, which is often used as a metaphor to represent a woman -- possibly representing a connection to the heart of the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline -- in each of the MVs, as a way to connect all of SM's storylines together. For example, Ningning's butterfly is thought to possibly be connected to the butterfly we see in EXO's debut "Mama" MVs from 2012. There is also a white butterfly in NCT-127's "Favorite (Vampire)" MV from 2021, which is meant to represent the "vampire" woman that they are singing about, and it's even thought could be connected to the white butterfly in SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong" MV from 2009. It also could be the white butterfly that helps aespa navigate through Kwangya in aespa's ep. 2 video, which would explain why we see a similar butterfly in all of SM's storylines. The butterfly appears to help everyone as they travel through Kwangya. (Everything SM does has to do with Kwangya -- even SM's new building where everything is created and produced is called Kwangya. Kwangya is the metaverse that all of SM's groups' and artists' concepts, and most of their MV storylines revolve around.) The MV for "Next Level" tells aespa's backstory and explains a lot of what we saw happening in their "Black Mamba," MV. Therefore, I think in "Next Level" aespa is on a mission to try and stop the Black Mamba hacker and find their avatars in order to re-establish a connection. Fun fact: The song intentionally switches up in "Next Level" at that specific moment because, if you pay attention to the lyrics, it says "naevis calling," which is referring to the fact that their avatars are summoning them to their Kwangya realm, so they teleport to the virtual realm (where everything is different) and then when the beat switches back to "Next Level" they are shown going back to the real world. Everything SM does, even the most minute detail, such as the structure of the song is done for a very specific reason. naevis is the creator and designer of the Kwangya world, kind of like the site administrator. Which is why in the "Next Level" lyrics they say, " MY naevis ... where you lead we follow," etc., because they trust naevis to protect them from the Black Mamba and protect the virtual word, etc. (MY is the name of aespa's fans, which could possibly mean that their fans are naevis because the fans are the ones who protect aespa and defend them from the evils of society, etc.) However, this is far from the first time SM has ever done mashups and had songs where it switches up the beat to a completely different song in the middle of the song. As you may know, it started with songs like Girls' Generation's "I Got A Boy," and they have done it with SHINee's "Sherlock (Clue & Note)", F(X), Red Velvet and pretty much all of NCT's/WayV's songs, and even SuperM's song "One (Monster & Infinity)." It's a very signature SM style. Please see the rest of my comment attached in the reply.
To understand how all of SM's groups are connected, you need to keep EXO's concept and storyline in mind. As you may know, EXO are on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are believed to be caused by the Red Force. The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda -- corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world, such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc. Some theories even believe that Red Velvet is connected to EXO's storyline. Some think that Red Velvet, EXO's sister group, could be the Red Force, or they could at least be members of the Red Force. I think the villains in aepa's storyline might be working with the Red Force, or it could be a separate evil being or group who also wants to find the Tree of Life and prevent peace from being restored in the Universe. Some fans are now even thinking maybe RV member Seulgi is connected to the hackers in aespa's storyline, as could possibly be shown in one of RV's recent MVs. This would only further the theory that Red Velvet is connected to the Red Force. But no matter what, I am sure RV is definitely part of the SM Culture Universe. And, SuperM is the Kpop industry's very first supergroup, which debuted in October 2019. Their concept and storyline is centered around the fact that they are Avenger-like superheros, so SuperM is the group that pretty much connects everything together. As part of EXO's story, EXO members Baekhyun and Kai have recruited members from SM Entertainment's other male Kpop groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT, Ten from WayV and Lucas, who is a former member of WayV, now an SM solo aritst -- and formed SuperM, to help them battle the Red Force. It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup. Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight. Theories have also speculated that NCT's/WayV's dream concept and storyline also connects to EXO's storyline. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or something to do with being in a dream state, which could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories. Now, to explain how aespa is connected to the story. aespa debuted in November 2020, and most of their MVs are connected to their storyline. (You also should check out the official lyric video for "Illusion." The story in "Illusion's" lyrics help to explain the Black Mamba hacker's motivations and storyline.) I am also starting to wonder if maybe aespa has something to do with the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline, because, in aespa's "Next Level" MV, we see aespa and their avatars sitting around what looks like the Mother Tree from the Hollywood movie "Avatar," so I wonder if maybe aespa were made the guardians of the Tree of Life, tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree. Therefore, maybe the Tree of Life is what the hacker villains are also after. As we are told in the intro of EXO's debut "Mama" MV, the Tree of Life was split in half in order to prevent the Red Force from gaining control of the heart of the Tree of Life. However, the current state of everything on Earth has caused the heart of the Tree of Life to go cold, so now EXO needs to reunite the two halves of the tree in order to restore peace. So, I think part of EXO's mission is they are on a quest to find aespa in order to reveal where the tree was hidden. aespa was first introduced to the world in a teaser at the end of SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV in 2020 -- about a month or so before aespa's debut. In the last scene of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, we see Taemin with an LG phone and on the phone screen there is a symbol that appears. At the time, when that MV was released, we had no idea what that meant. However, soon after that, we discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is the logo/symbol for aespa. So, on top of being a teaser for aespa's debut, I think by making aespa a part of SuperM's MV, this was SM's way of establishing aespa's connection to SuperM's/EXO's storyline. Will aespa eventually join forces with EXO to defeat evil or will an evil hacker gain control and cause aespa to team up with (Red Velvet?) and become members of the Red Force? We will just have to wait to see how SM connects the dots and draws the storylines together. But I have a feeling that, eventually, aespa's story will connect to SuperM's story, and, along the way, also EXO, NCT and Red Velvet's storyline, and possibly even SHINee's most recent storyline. (Even though SHINee is part of the second generation in Kpop, the members are the same age as third generation group members, so they sort of bridge that gap between second and third generation.) aespa's story is just another one of SM's epic concepts and mysteries that we will have to wait and see where it takes us. "Armageddon" was aespa's comeback as part of Season 2 of their storyline, so it has a new style and concept that connects all their new songs and albums within Season 2 -- it's like a new chapter for aespa with a new style. (All their previous songs and MVs prior to 2024 were part of Season 1.)
Aespa is awesome! I think you’re seeing how many high quality choices we have in female K-pop artists nowadays! It’s like a candy store that never ends 😂❤
Believe us when we say that Sm entertainment groups are on another level, the production, the vocals, the music videos, the songs... Everything is just perfect, they'll never disappoint. You've already reacted to Red Velvet, Exo and now Aespa, you should react to Nct as well, they're the best vocalist of kpop alongside with Exo, and their songs are Rnb coded and very original, also well produced. Please react to Nct 127 killing voice and you'll have a piece of their discography; you should react to Exo and Red Velvet discography as well.
Aespa is known for their "hyperpop" sound, I really really hope you listen to their bsides (hold on tight, I’ll make you cry, mine, die trying, illusion etc)! They have a lot of songs that more colorful and are really great (better things, spicy, yeppi yeppi, live my life…)❤❤
the members on Black Mamba MV: Karina - leader, center, visual, main dancer, lead vocalist, lead rapper - Korean (purple outfit) Winter - visual, lead vocalist - Korean (the girl with blond hair that you said her voice is like a piercing voice) Giselle - main rapper, vocalist - Japanese (the rapper with blond hair) NingNing - maknae, main vocalist - Chinese (the one with green outfit doing the highnote at the end) my bias also❤😂
@@dairynehyun2122 the only main vocalist confirmed is NingNing. Winter is lead vocalist, but the fans give the title of main vocalist for her too. but she's not officially

She is one of the most influential and successful South Korean entertainers. She is a member of a supergroup called "GOT the beat".
when a reactor pauses a lot to say something and goes back to check out a part again etc, to me that means you actually care about what you’re watching and love music.

27:27 how u liked Aespa, and their switch ups 😂 if you're interested I recommend NCT 127, It's a subunit of the big boy group NCT (There are 6 "groups" in one, yes, a lot) and they are known for having a very experimental sound , they mix rap and rnb very well! In Sm entertainment, they created a new form of group, (NCT = New Culture Technology), each unit has its unique sound, but some of them share the same members and NCT U is the one where they can all come together. NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WAYV (Chinese), NCT U (rotation) NCT WISH (Japanese), NCT DOJAEJUNG (a trio) NCT 127 and NCT DREAM both have killing voices ! And are kind of the oposite of one another so would be fun get to know them first Thanks for your reaction! Aespa is so good u defenitely should check out their other titles tracks AND bsides
I really recommend drama( their best title track in my opinion ), better things( got a lot of tropical? elements and its very catchy and easy to listen), their bsides like thirsty( my fav),illusion(the rap line definitely stood out here) and welcome to my world( there's something so majestic about this song) So here are my recommendations. Loved your reaction.
i always describe winter’s voice in high notes as piercing as well. but when you listen to her lower voice and head voice, the tonal quality is so soft and i guess husky. so fascinating.
since you seem to be really enjoying SM artists and vocalists you gotta explore NCT next! They have 20+ members but they are broken up into sub units (some members are in multiple units). But each unit has their own unique flavour and some of the most unique songs in the industry with some of the best vocalists and rappers :) NCT 127 - First song: Fire Truck Newest: Walk Most Viewed: Kick It NCT Dream (this has the youngest members so their earliest concept was very young and cute but theyve changed alot in 8 years) First song: Chewing Gum Newest: Smoothie Most Viewed: Hot Sauce NCT U (this unit constantly changes depending on the song - they pick the members best suited) First: 7th Sense Newest: Baggy Jeans Most Viewed: Make A Wish WayV (chinese unit) First: Regular (NCT 127 also has 2 versions of this song - in English and Korean) Most viewed: Love Talk (english ver) Newest: Give Me That (korean) There is also the newest unit NCT WISH (Japanese) but they don't have alot of songs out yet but if you wanted to check out what they have that would be cool to - up to you :)
It’s been a while that i have watch a “reactor” really watch listen and react to artists especially kpop artists. U appreciate songs musicality and mv nice!
Armageddon is one of my fave releases this year (the entire album is bonkers) and I'm pretty sure Supernova (also on thr album) could be nominated for the "Song of the year" award
Black Mamba was their debut song, next level might have been song 2, Armageddon is the title song for their first full album in year 3 which came out in april this year. you should like Spicy, girls and for sure Drama
A few statistics to put this in perspective: K-pop industry is valued at 8.1B plus 900M exports USD, so approx 9B. US music industry is approx 17.1B, with K-Pop only 3% of that. Can you imagine the explosion in the US as K-Pop becomes more and more mainstream? The companies / artists / teams seem to have a huge global presence and take their work very seriously. Strap in, it’s going to be wild! What an amazing time to be alive 😊
You can always watch and just appreciate the talent and quality of aespa titles but if you really get into them and want to understand their extremely immersive concept, you gotta understand their lore. It is all over the mv and the lyrics even in the dance and costumes. Unlike other groups which claim to have a lore, aespa's lore is important and can't be ignored for long. You can understand their story by watching the title mvs in order, reading lyrics closely especially the caps and checking out the three SMCU mini movies they acted in with their ae, naevis, and the villain black mamba
The name Aespa is what you get when you combine Avatar X Experience and Aspect, they have avatars that live in KWANGYA, for several of their songs there are several episodes of SM Culture Universe that explain the whole story line of the songs, you need to watch the songs in order to understand the story as well the episodes for each
loved your in-depth analysis ILLUSION, SALTY & SWEET are my fav b-sides Netizens call it "noise music" 🤭🤭 BRING THE NOISE! Can't wait till you discover Dreamcatcher really curious what you'd say...👀
People in kpop love commenting about pausing. You’re not doing anything wrong and have better analysis than some big kpop reactors. Don’t even bother engaging with them, they’re not worth your time or energy.
aespa has a continuing, but, evolving storyline, Black Mamba starts the first season of their concept: the Black Mamba is an AI virus which is trying to separate AI counterparts all aespa members and all people in general in the storyline have, which are created from data people post to social media. These counterparts are called "aes". They live in a plane of existence called KWANGYA. Between the REAL WORLD and KWANGYA there's another plane called THE FLAT, that's where Naevis lives, she opens the portal between the REAL WORLD and KWANGYA. She was forced to live in FLAT by KOSMOzens, beings which are gods of KWANGYA and live in a plane above the others, called KOSMO. There's a series called SMCU (SM Culture Universe), it has 3 parts and explains it all. Armageddon is a continuation of Supernova, in Armageddon aespa are hunting down partially AI versions of themselves which have arrived to the Armageddon universe because the partially AI versions of themselves in Supernova have creted a wormhole which sucks all of the parallel universe versions of themselves into the Armageddon universe, along with these gigantic Superbeings (like the one which imprints its emblem on NingNing's eye) and that's SMCU season 2 for now, all songs up to Supernova are season 1. Hopefully this helps in understanding their story and thanks for giving aespa a listen!
Sorry if you got a notification of me giving a thumbs down. I have fat fingers 😖 I really loved your reaction!!! I immediately pressed the like button after 😭
13:15 yeah this is the normal reaction to this song 😂 Btw don't let people pressure you into changing your reaction style. Pause gang stay strong! If they want to just hear the original song then they should go listen to the song. Your rewinds and pauses are great and your videos have a really nice pace.
00:49 I don't even like reactors who just watch without commenting. If you pause the video it means you are really paying attention and trying to analyze it. Keep it up dude!
Haha I have to say honestly, sometimes when reactors pause all the time it does bother me, especially when they do it in key moments like "noo you're not experiencing the flow of the song properly" haha so I get that; BUT I really don't have that with you, I feel like the way you pause and rewind you're really appreciating every part, so I really like your reaction style 😊
Well, to be fair, when the reactor pauses a lot and makes a lot of comments, it is no longer a “reaction”; it is more like a commentary. When people see “reaction”, they think of an expression or comment in that moment (like a wow or a what), not rewinding the video over and over before even completing said video at least once. I have seen “reaction” videos where they are only “reacting” to one song and the video is 30 to 50 minutes long.
But that is just my take on it after seeing other people’s opinions and definitions. Either way, Aespa is such a great group to react to. Their discography is diverse and it reminds me of (G)I-DLE’s work in terms of diversity.
I've been looping Armageddon for so many days
I recommend Drama next, I think you will like it a lot.
aespa's 'Armageddon' MV is top-tier. The track is insane. What a fantastic song !
Many people describe Winter's voice as a husky voice...
Abit surprised their song "Drama" didn't make it to the reaction. It's sooo good!
hes doing debut song, most popular and the newest release although hot mess is technically the newest. hes probably gonna make another part (i hope so)
Her voice is thin and high-pitched, not husky IMO. Lee Mujin showcased her natural tone across three non-AESPA tracks. Powerful but can be shrill and/or harsh on the treble end.
She does not have husky voice who lied to you
@@riverofunhappiness real i think people mistake the airiness in her lower register for huskiness. her voice is in fact very clear. like glass
Also none forces anyone to watch a video, if you don't like it, just move to another🤦🏾♀️
I love it when someone discovers aespa 😂

The lore is not as prominent in the newer songs because Kwangya was the idea of Lee So Man and since he is out of SM, they change things.

aespa's 'Black Mamba' MV looks sick. The song is really good. What a fantastic track !!
15:38 Someone already made it the full song, the title of the video on RUclips is "What if Next Level's beat drop was the full song?"
I love that video. Honestly, I was never a fan of the rest of the song, but I would always go to that part of the song.
And with each new character that is introduced it expands on the whole Marvel universe.)
aespa's "aespa ep.1 'Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video that was released right before their MV for "Next Level" was released and their "aespa ep.
And just like EXO, the members of aespa all have their own powers and symbols that represent them:
💗Karina (Yoo JiMin) is the leader of the group, she is a main dancer and lead rapper: her symbol is a heart and her spirit animal is a whale.
She is Korean
🦋NingNing (Níng Yìzhuo) is the maknae and the main vocalist: her symbol is a butterfly and her spirit animal is a tiger.
Kwangya is the metaverse that all of SM's groups' and artists' concepts, and most of their MV storylines revolve around.)
The MV for "Next Level" tells aespa's backstory and explains a lot of what we saw happening in their "Black Mamba," MV.
(MY is the name of aespa's fans, which could possibly mean that their fans are naevis because the fans are the ones who protect aespa and defend them from the evils of society, etc.)
However, this is far from the first time SM has ever done mashups and had songs where it switches up the beat to a completely different song in the middle of the song.
(You also should check out the official lyric video for "Illusion." The story in "Illusion's" lyrics help to explain the Black Mamba hacker's motivations and storyline.)
I am also starting to wonder if maybe aespa has something to do with the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline, because, in aespa's "Next Level" MV, we see aespa and their avatars sitting around what looks like the Mother Tree from the Hollywood movie "Avatar," so I wonder if maybe aespa were made the guardians of the Tree of Life, tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree.
(Even though SHINee is part of the second generation in Kpop, the members are the same age as third generation group members, so they sort of bridge that gap between second and third generation.)
aespa's story is just another one of SM's epic concepts and mysteries that we will have to wait and see where it takes us.

NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WAYV (Chinese), NCT U (rotation) NCT WISH (Japanese), NCT DOJAEJUNG (a trio)
NCT 127 and NCT DREAM both have killing voices ! And are kind of the oposite of one another so would be fun get to know them first
Thanks for your reaction! Aespa is so good u defenitely should check out their other titles tracks AND bsides
I really recommend drama( their best title track in my opinion ), better things( got a lot of tropical? elements and its very catchy and easy to listen), their bsides like thirsty( my fav),illusion(the rap line definitely stood out here) and welcome to my world( there's something so majestic about this song)
So here are my recommendations.
Loved your reaction.
Armagoddn mv is one of my absolute favorites mv in kpop i think
i always describe winter’s voice in high notes as piercing as well. but when you listen to her lower voice and head voice, the tonal quality is so soft and i guess husky. so fascinating.
since you seem to be really enjoying SM artists and vocalists you gotta explore NCT next! They have 20+ members but they are broken up into sub units (some members are in multiple units). But each unit has their own unique flavour and some of the most unique songs in the industry with some of the best vocalists and rappers :)
NCT 127 - First song: Fire Truck Newest: Walk Most Viewed: Kick It
NCT Dream (this has the youngest members so their earliest concept was very young and cute but theyve changed alot in 8 years)
First song: Chewing Gum Newest: Smoothie Most Viewed: Hot Sauce
NCT U (this unit constantly changes depending on the song - they pick the members best suited)
First: 7th Sense Newest: Baggy Jeans Most Viewed: Make A Wish
WayV (chinese unit) First: Regular (NCT 127 also has 2 versions of this song - in English and Korean) Most viewed: Love Talk (english ver) Newest: Give Me That (korean)
There is also the newest unit NCT WISH (Japanese) but they don't have alot of songs out yet but if you wanted to check out what they have that would be cool to - up to you :)
Winter bagging someone else just because of her voice-😭
i knew u would like them! u should check out savage, drama or girls next!!
It’s been a while that i have watch a “reactor” really watch listen and react to artists especially kpop artists. U appreciate songs musicality and mv nice!
Drama,Spicy and Savage are must dos for Aespa imo if u ever feel like listening to some more of them
Armageddon is one of my fave releases this year (the entire album is bonkers) and I'm pretty sure Supernova (also on thr album) could be nominated for the "Song of the year" award
Aespa is famous for their amazing vocals, in fact, there are two main vocals in Aespa, NingNing and Winter.
You should react to their other unique MV too, savage maybe, or the masterpiece called Drama
Black mamba for me is the best debut song of all time period
AESPA IS "YES!" 😂 Couldn't agree more tbh aespa definitely A 💯 YES🔥
You missed 3 must-see MVs: Savage, Drama, Supernova. I might just add Spicy to that list too.
Black Mamba was their debut song, next level might have been song 2, Armageddon is the title song for their first full album in year 3 which came out in april this year. you should like Spicy, girls and for sure Drama
their lore is black mamba, next level, savage, and girls though
the lore actually goes through all their title tracks but it’s alot more obvious in the tracks you mentioned :)
A few statistics to put this in perspective:
K-pop industry is valued at 8.1B plus 900M exports USD, so approx 9B.
You can understand their story by watching the title mvs in order, reading lyrics closely especially the caps and checking out the three SMCU mini movies they acted in with their ae, naevis, and the villain black mamba
ningning and winter are the best voacl duo of their generation they just go so well together
Armageddon too good
Both the song & mv
Btw aespa got the best vocals & they are unbelievably visual especially Karina & ningning
The name Aespa is what you get when you combine Avatar X Experience and Aspect, they have avatars that live in KWANGYA, for several of their songs there are several episodes of SM Culture Universe that explain the whole story line of the songs, you need to watch the songs in order to understand the story as well the episodes for each
Please do more aespa reactions, their live performances are insane❤️
more aespa reaction pls 🥹

I agree with this comment. Plus, unless a reactor says something super offensive, I won't comment if they aren't my style, I just move on.
more of aespa plz
aespa has a continuing, but, evolving storyline, Black Mamba starts the first season of their concept: the Black Mamba is an AI virus which is trying to separate AI counterparts all aespa members and all people in general in the storyline have, which are created from data people post to social media.

Btw don't let people pressure you into changing your reaction style.

❤️🔥 ❤️🔥 ❤️🔥
Haha I have to say honestly, sometimes when reactors pause all the time it does bother me, especially when they do it in key moments like "noo you're not experiencing the flow of the song properly" haha so I get that; BUT I really don't have that with you, I feel like the way you pause and rewind you're really appreciating every part, so I really like your reaction style 😊
I recommend Dreamcatcher as the group with the most unique sound in K-pop. Please react to Dreamcatcher's latest song Justice.
Please please check out Winner! Esp Winner Dingo killing voice 🥰🙏🏻😊
He's Japanese but I really really encourage you to check out Fugii Kaze.
Please react to Chungha's latest: I'm Ready
Well, to be fair, when the reactor pauses a lot and makes a lot of comments, it is no longer a “reaction”; it is more like a commentary. When people see “reaction”, they think of an expression or comment in that moment (like a wow or a what), not rewinding the video over and over before even completing said video at least once. I have seen “reaction” videos where they are only “reacting” to one song and the video is 30 to 50 minutes long.
But that is just my take on it after seeing other people’s opinions and definitions. Either way, Aespa is such a great group to react to. Their discography is diverse and it reminds me of (G)I-DLE’s work in terms of diversity.
i actually love watching your reaction! aren't a reactor supposed to be pausing and talk about the music, lyrics and stuff? 😭
Pls check out NCT 127 (hip hop and experimental) sound and RIIZE more instrumental sound. Like your reaction
