I've lost count how many times I've come across those doors on the floor over the last 12 years 😂 There's another one like this at Sea View, it's filled up with water at the momment. A worker reported to me that there are still victorian arches and brickwork still immaculate.
I’ve been going to that site for years, pretty much been to every building that remains. Glad it’s been left semi preserved. Do you know of any other sites around the area?
Excellent video. I have been to this site about 4 times over the last few years. Very interesting place. Unfortunately access then into this reservoir was impossible for me as I'm too fat to enter via the ladder however my mate managed to take one or photos of the interior and its impressive columns.
There is another reservoir the other end of the industrial estate. From the far end roundabout and over the fence it looks like a hill. The entrance if still open is a flat front facing the railway line and bay.
Its a bat sanctuary, get caught in there and you're fucked, so don't get caught. Blackwater on the other hand is open every few months as the ravers want in. There is a huge hole in the roof anyway, so if anyone can't get through the metal grates, then climb the massive tree log down, guna be a mission getting back out though.
Great explore - glad you found a way in. Remember your videos from last year so it’s good to have a conclusion! Great acrobatics stepping across the giant stop-cocks 🤣 glad neither of you fell in!! Great video 👍👍
This reminds me so much of a scene from Lord of the Rings, with all them colomns, if you've seen the movie you'll know what part I mean. Great video Matt, loved it.
Giant chunks of concrete just flung out of the way and no big truck tires to show for it. You need to make friends with those fellas. WHat a wild place. Glad to finally see one of the rooms. Great echo in there. Next time just hum and listen to the overlaps in your voice.
Look for depot storage at elevated sections of such reservoirs. They would be armoured below grade garages adjacent pipe carriageways. Could still be pre 1916 steam wagons parked below. Adjacent water course works. Have oxygen masks and safety volt meters. Be safe.
It’s a shame the pump-house building on the surface was demolished. It used to be a smart looking bungalow with a tiled roof, you could access the ladders & climb down into each side of the reservoir. Only one side has a door so I doubt you’d be able to access the sealed side unless someone messes with the right hand metal plate in the remains of the building.
From sunny day to dark and snowy!
This complex was a fantastic outdoor explore when it came out, its great to finally see inside!

Reminds me of inside a water reservoir I went in near Bristol airport.
Big place, cool
It’s like something from the film Dune !! Amazing
Wow! Matt! Look it looks like that Seen from lord of the rings in the mines of Moria
I wonder how that tree grew through reinforced concrete.
Ravers using up that mdma energy

Make a nice paintball arena with a bit of work.
I want a techno rave in there
little bit of paint and sweep, and that place could be reused ha
That's a Dan Dixon spider lol
😊👍

Would that wee door really hold back the water pressure of that volume 🤔. Great job on exploring in the open door. Stay safe 🏴
It's only got to hold back the weight of the water directly above it, not the water at the side.
👍🏻
I have a place in Dorset! I really want to go to could we all go together?
I will explore with you !
It's always been open lads
😂 thorn in boot
Okay correction the doors not always been open I had to climb down... From the top
I had a mate that was skinny enough to get through the bars years ago. Got his head a bit stuck but he got in
Big echo
