Yeah I agree. Even if I boiled that shit no way. I don't see how people walk around there without respirators/gasmasks at the least but to each their own.
@@Golde12345Eagle Its only high radiation in certain places, that's how. In most of Pripyat, the radiation levels are less than in Kyiv. And they got water from the wrong place, there is a stalker secret spot that has way cleaner rain water.
I did the same stalker trip as you did in Sep 2019. It was an amazing journey, when I left the exclusion zone I was already planning to go back. Who would have ever thought that the Russian invasion would screw that up. Great video!
@@stickyman3786 not really. its a part of war. you can place mines you just need to mark the area and record them for later removal. that being said. there are uncleared areas of the zone and they have found tripwires and mines in and around the abandoned city. so yes its probably going to be dangerous for reasons other than radiation for a long time. and wouldnt recommend going there now because every once in a while they get reports of some military personnel trying to sneak into Ukraine from the exclusion zone.
@@stickyman3786 No, not really, like @MrEd8846 explained basically. But at the other side, since when does russia care about whats a crime and what isn't?
What a journey! I'm sure Pripyat served in many minds as a point of fascination (Call of Duty), but it was epic to see some of the scenes outside of the normal touristy areas. Would love to go there some day as well. Fantastic quality and production as always, Nick. Even if it wasn't the Isle of Wight ;)
honestly i seen another video of a guy going through this area from 4 years ago and then found out that this was what the stalker games was designed after and started playing stalker 2 as my first stalker game what really got me into it is that the game is a exact replica of actual Chernobyl buildings and everything in the game is actually a part of Chernobyl. the game is in serious need of optimization though. it is a pain to play sometimes. but i cant wait till they get it fixed and get multiplayer in the game it will be awesome. another great game made by ex stalker Devs is Metro Exodus.
Thank you for posting this adventure and sharing it with us. This is one place I would love to see and experience. 2019 I finally shared my desire to go there with my partner and she immediately said yes.. Then Covid hit followed by the invasion... I am still hopeful there will be a chance in future we can go there and see it for ourselves.
With the volume on low, I could well feel the tension and unsettling unease which I remembering feeling while watching the film by Tarkovsky I saw in my youth. Very well and brilliantly done!
Well this was definitely worth the 5 year wait! I remember reading Ben's 28DL report back in 2019 and hoping you'd make a video of your adventure. It's so interesting seeing all the forgotten details that most people will never get to see, the hut full of documents looked particularly interesting. I'm curious, did you use the geiger counter to get an idea if the water you were drinking had elevated levels of radiation?
Great question, thank you! So far, I've had no issues, but it's true that any potential impacts might not be clear for years. Despite careful water filtration, the risk from even minimal particle ingestion exists. Before entering I considered these risks thoroughly, fully aware of the dangers, taking all possible precautions, so hopefully nothing to come 🤞
Eines der besten Stalker Videos meiner Meinung nach auf RUclips 👌 Warum hat das nur so wenig likes? Vielen Dank das du uns auf so eine spannende Reise mitgenommen hast 👍
Maybe it's just me, but if you knew you were going to cross a small river that's freezing, wouldn't you wear some sort of scuba apparel or fishing waders ? Maybe I just don't like to freeze to death. Another question why wouldn't you explore this during the summer time like so many dozens, if not hundreds of other stalkers?
Call me a cynic, but I suspect a number of these scenarios were embellished for drama’s sake. Seems like nearly every exciting/dramatic thing that happened mysteriously wasn’t filmed. Despite the fact that they were holding cameras for practically the entire trip. That’s a real shame because it’s a BEYOND fascinating journey on its own, without fabricated bits and pieces here and there.
the air defense base was for the S-75 Dvina (NATO reporting name SA-2 Guideline) missile system. it had 6 circular launch positions surrounding the big bunker, and the building with the mural is marked as a barracks on maps. the early warning Radar position for this air defense site is here 51°17'26"N 30°11'30"E right next to the village of Chornobyl. with the wreck of a "LENA" P-14 (NATO reporting name Tall King) radar still there.
You have come along way from the days of exploring IoW. I found your documentary far more exciting than any BBC propaganda documentary and not dumb down for the idiots who watch word government controlled entertainment. Thank you, take care and carry on!
as of december the war front is pretty far so yeah you can, might hear a long range rocket or two but its definitely no target in the invasion, i figure most troops would also avoid it
Great video! I always wanted to go to the zone, it seems like such an amazing place to explore and photograph. If the war in Ukraine ever ends I will go there for sure (in which case it will have even more history to tell).
Excellent video guys, however I feel bad for your 25 mile/40km hike. Why not get dropped off at the train station the walk in. Or just take the tour bus to Pripyat? You can’t explore too much at night anyway as your flashlights will give you away.
Such an amazing video! i hope to god russia stops and ukraine can go back to normal some day i wont die happy if i havent been here on a stalker tour!❤

I must say, you made this sound more difficult than it needs to be. Why go in the winter at all? This would have been a more enjoyable if it was narrated by someone that was a bit cold and scared in Chernobyl rather then the monotonous voice of someone sitting warm and comfy.
Very good video and as a narrative you could do very well only if you can learn to pronounce the letter L. There is no such thing as noodoos and needoo's. Or Chernoboo. You did the trip right! Climbed Duga & almost got caught in Pripyat. An urbex dream
Amazing video, loved the shot of the gas masks with the torch
Not sure why this hasn’t more views. You have a pleasant voice and are a fascinating storyteller.
This is the first Chernobyl stalker vid without the screaming docimetres, i hate them especially with amplified hearing, great footage 👍
Go watch shiey's two chernobyl videos.
@IdahoHikes I did about 5 years ago 👍 Anton & Shiey was cool 😎
Good to see you back

Great Stalker-video, with a personal note 👌
The legend has woken, and made THIS AMAZING VIDEO!!

How did you all get to Pripyat with all the snorks and radiation in the Jupiter Underground?
very good video and narration!
