SPIRIT OF THE ANZACS LYRICS:
He's a drover drifting over Western plains
He's a city lad, a clark down Flinder's Lane
They're in the trenches at Lone Pine
And on the Flander's firing line
A willing band of ordinary menHe's all of them
He's one of us
Born beneath
The Southern Cross
Side by side
We say with pride
He is all of them
He is one of us
He's a pilot on a midnight bombing raid
He's an Able Seaman on the Armidale
She's a nurse in Vietnam
They're on patrol in Uruzgan
Sons and daughters rising to the call
She's all of them
She's one of us
Born beneath
The Southern Cross
Side by side
We say with pride
She is all of them
She is one of us
The spirit of the ANZACs
Proud and strong
Spirit of the ANZACs
Will live on and on and on
He's all of them
He's one of us
Born beneath
The Southern Cross
Side by side
We say with pride
He is all of them
She is all of them
They are one of usThey are one of us - Видеоклипы
Who's here listening and watching this on Anzac Day 2024?
Me❤
Me too. 🌹
I am, I listen and watch every ANZAC Day since this was posted, its perfect.
Me
Yup lm here 👍
I'm very proud to be an Aussie and I always listen to this song every ANZAC DAY to remember our ANZAC heroes and our Kiwi Brothers 🇦🇺🇳🇿
These opening words of Keating are possibly his best speech. In 2017 I visited the Adelaide Cemetery where the Australian “Unknown Soldier “ lay for 75 years. The burial plaque provides this information. So if you are going to the Australian Memorial outside of VB take time to stand before this man’s original grave and say a prayer of thanks for the life he gave up. RIP!
So proud of the ANZACS, we owe every bit of Australia to them. We are lucky to have our country. I'm aboriginal and my Grandmother cousin fought WW2. He fought for the land I'm walking on today.
This song is so meaningful to everyone
Those 73 people who bloody disliked this awesome song are not true Aussies!!! I'm proud to be an Aussie and I liked this
I’m one of millions Australian and New Zearlanders who are descendent of ANZAC I will never forget those who fought and died for a safe modern Australia and New Zearland

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them, Lest we forget🌹

Thanks for helping this beautiful country
this is amazing and a memorable time.
My great great grandfather was a signaller at the battle of Gallipoli, and although I never met him, my grandma did. She remembers sitting on his knee and Listening to him talk when she was 6 years old. A few years ago, she donated to a museum the signalling light from the war that he had kept until the day he died. He was a hero, just like all those men and women who lost their lives in all the wars. The father of my mum’s friend is also a Vietnam vet, and he is a hero too. I am proud of my heritage and my family. But most of all, I am proud to be Australian. 🇦🇺
as an Australian, Anzac Day is for me one of the most important dates in the year. It symbolises all the soldiers that died defending our country, and it is a day r mourning and remembrance.
ANZAC DAY is such an important day for all Australians and New Zealanders, we should have the best singing this important and special song to remember the Spirit of the Anzacs and their special day!!!
In tears. I don't have any family or friends who was in the war, but I am truly grateful for the freedom I have today.
Aussie born, Proud Aussie.

I am truely grateful for all the soldiers that gave up their life to save our country and i am proud to be australian

John purcell Purcell Thank you for your service Sir!!! You did us proud! Big hugs to you and your wife today, this ANZAC day :) xo
Thank you for fighting for our country sir. Happy ANZAC day
I went to the Australian War Memorial in April this year, we couldn't find my ancestor who had died in WWII so I put my poppy I had in another soldier's place as I do not know whether that soldier has any family still living in Australia or at all. But going through that war memorial was a memorable time and I'll never ever forget it. My family also got to see the changing of the guard (in the rain) but coming out of the tomb of the unknown soldier my mother noticed that one of the two guards were crying, most likely because he thought of it as sad that this soldier's identity is still unknown to this day. But to every soldier in the army, air force and navy today, I thank you for everything you do to keep Australia safe
WW1*
James Quin he/she could be talking about an ancestor in ww2
It is awe-inspiring.
Beautiful comment
Although I don't have any ancestors of my own, I also went there as I was recognised in my school for contribution towards ANZAC affairs and I remember being told the same thing too about the unknown soldier.
I thought it was an important symbol, since someone unrecognisable, represents more identity to the ANZACs than anyone with a face
In tears... I’m so glad to be an Aussie. I love being free and a Aussie.
🌷My grandad died in the army while he saved his best friends life bye jumping in front of him before a bullet hit him he saves his life that day he was a true hero🌷
Oh my gosh🥺
Yes that is a true hero.
I'm very sorry for your loss.
I'm glad that you remember him even if you never met him.
Your granddad is a hero. RIP, Sir ♥🌷
Protecting his mate, a true trait of a digger, mates first no matter what the cost
Have the best of love
our flag doesn't fly from the wind moving it. it flies from the last breath of every soldier that died defening it
Beautiful sentiment ty Brett
Amazing sementre
Awesome statment
😢😭🙏👏👏👏
Yamz_MG women still put their life on the line for their country, they saved countless lives and kept the war from ending up with more casualties, and saying they aren’t apart of ANZAC, is like NZ isn’t apart of ANZAC, which probably makes no sense, but it is all I could think of at the time.
And, in say this, I’m not saying your disrespecting them, for you did say ‘they still deserve respect no doubt’, but female deaths were relatively quiet high during WW1/2 and Vietnam war, not just from the French resistance and those being executed, from the Germans, Japanese, Italians and the Vietnamese all attacked/bombed field hospitals killing medical staff or wounded. But if you do not agree with what I say that’s your opinion, have a nice day. (And try not to freeze to death)
God bless Australia 🇦🇺
OMG I made met him at my Anzac Day parade. I saw him and he was the exact same voice. He was talking about the same thing. I watched this one parade less we forget.
I live in Australia and I always listen to this song and it always will remind me of those brave souls that fought for our country
Our Countries........
Raz Hunter I’m an American but still admire the ANZACs for what they did and continue to do today
Really? I always think of how many people those politicians killed by sending all those young men to a war that wasn't ours to be a part of. They still do it. An army friend of mine just committed suicide a couple of weeks ago. Patriotism is just not worth it.
@@123ls3 I am so sorry to hear that. I'll never know the horrors of war but I have family members who served and they have told me about it. If he had of met me, I would have thanked him for his service and shown him that he is a hero and helped him see life anew. I can't imagine his pain but I know people who do. May he rest in peace.
It brings me to tears, and i am not from australia. ANZACS were the only one to liberate my country not for their gain, but because it was necessary. Thanks from Austria
Michael Judex
Were your family anti imperialists sympathetic to Hungarians and Armenians?
As to my Family then, i cannot say. I meant to refer to WWII when th troops Form Australia an New Zeeland liberated Europe from the Nazise
Michael Judex that's right anything a brother in country

i'm proud to be a Australian i love this song about the Anzacs im proud about all these soldiers went to war for us and serviced our grate land thank you to you all my god bless you all im proud to be a soldier on this land
Lest We Forget
I'm a born and bred American, with dear friends in both Australia and New Zealand, and this song twangs my heartstrings. My American family had soldiers serve in both World Wars and Vietnam (and likely the Revolutionary War and Korea). As a Vietnam veteran friend so succinctly said, "For those who fought for it, Freedom has a Flavor that the Protected will never know." God bless each and every soldier, sailor, nurse, etc., that went to war and didn't come home, or came home forever changed.
And for those who have lost it, freedom has a flavour the Protected can never appreciate.
Nice words thanku, I'm Aussie and I love your red white and blue song. Similar celebration song.
I’m a proud Australian
Less we forget 🇦🇺
they are entrusted to us now, we love you anzac grandchildren I from Turkey 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙋♂️

You know a song is more than great when you love it from the get-go. Brilliant song isn't it? I just don't understand how, what is now, 77 people can dislike it.
I know right
I'm proud to have served his country! The Anzac Spirit will always live on in my heart and every ones Lest We Forget!!
🇦🇺🇳🇿
Thank you for your service Steve.
God bless Australia 🇦🇺. For we are young and free

So many lives were lost for our freedom. They sacrificed their lives for us. Without them, none of us would be here now. Friends, family and even animals lost their lives for us. I'm proud to be an Aussie.
Wow proud to be Aussie this is a great country
Thinking about you grandpa every time I listen to this song, thank you for your service and I love you even though I never actually got to meet you.

Just recently, my school held our annual Anzac assembly. This song was featured in a lovely dance and drama performance held by some of the students here. I had the honour to perform myself in front of over 400 people.
"May the souls of the Anzacs rest in perpetual peace, and may their wonderful spirits live on in the hearts of their descendants."
Lest we forget.

New Zealand and Australia are strong spotting rivals but when it comes to remembering the ANZAC's We are strong. Thank you all New Zealand and Australian soldiers past and present for your service. Amazing song
Im aussie and a year ago i went to the Australian war memorial. I was chosen as well as another 3 out of 250 kids to place a poppy on the unknown soldiers grave. I will treasure that memory forever. I also saw all those names covered in poppys and in the middle is the internal flame. Inside the building is like a maze with tanks, planes, subs, choppers, cannons and a lot more
I am Aussie through and through.
Watching this reminds me what makes us Aussie. The men that sacrificed their lives to let us live on are bloody legends

Rod Miskell So very well said. Thank you.
Techroach
Everyone forgets that half the reason the ANZAC were sent was to rescue as many Armenians as possible. Churchill's spies had picked up some photos of the genocide secretly taken by a sympathetic German Doctor, and was hoping, if Gallipoli had been successful, that several regiments could then be spared from Russian support to evacuate survivors. Alas, they never really got that chance.
AND KEEP OUR COUNTRY GUN FREE!!!
Salute to all the Anzac. God Bless You All. Rest In Peace.
My grandfather died in war. This song means a lot to me ❤️❤️❤️
Here for today, i sung this in choir 5 years ago n i still love it
As a member of a family which has 3 generations who served to defend the country, whether they wanted to or not, thank you for this tribute. All of my family came home, to those families who have not been so lucky., I would like to think we are all here for you.
that was amazing.i almost started to cry.My great grandfather served in Bardia, and the rest of the family thought he was dead but he came back alive and they were sooo happy he made it through, so he named his son Bardia witch was where he served.he was from new zealand.
Out at the edge of my driveway this morning holding a candle. As it's flame brightly flickered, I listened to this song over and again. Tears streaming down my face, I stared up at the dawn sky in sombre reflection. Thank you to everyone who has and continues to serve our great country. Your sacrifices are not in vain. I am so proud to be an Aussie. Thank you to our brothers and sisters across the ditch. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. A happy and reflective ANZAC Day to all Aussies and Kiwis.
LEST WE FORGET 🎖😢

Great song... Lest We Forget Australia !!
Australia and New Zealander they are a famous duo they can kick ass they survived Anzac cove and lost but did big damage the are the hero’s to save Australia and New Zealander.
My great grandfather was a WWII Vet, he actually Passed away ANZAC day 2000, right after the men marched passed his house
So proud of the Anzacs....Lest we forget.
itachi uchiha Son, joining the army is a noble thing offering you a great career. But when the fighting needs to be fought, you are the one fighting and being shot at.
The diggers in W.W.1. thought of war as an adventure.
NONE OF THEM THOGHT IT WOULD BE SO HORRIFIC OR SCAREY.
None of them set out to be heroes. In any of the wars we have fought in.
It is the positions they found themselves in, and the way they handled themselves that made them heroes.
If they could choose not to be in those positions, they would gladly NOT be heroes.
Bruce Donnellan You are completely right mate they didn't have an idea of what it would be like but they did it anyway these people are my role models, This song is the most meaningful thing to Aussies and others I don't understand how anyone could dislike this song whoever did/does clearly has no respect and no heart
Maddy Falkiner
To what extent were they motivated to fight by being told that it was their duty as "Christian gentlemen" to rescue Armenian Christians from "Mohameden Tyranny", which was, indeed, half of Churchill's reason for the offensive, not just supporting the Russians, which (although they couldn't have known) would have prevented most Communism over the past 100 years.
Gary Beecroft lest we forget
Even I'm not an Australian but I like Australia a lot and have been there, I have some Australians friends, I really love this song a lot.
