Me too- this really should be their anthem.
Jackie king, im a dredded pom living and naturalised Aussie but hey mate, what an a enspiring heart rendering song.
All singers are perfect😊 RIP Judith❤❤
I played this just after the "The Voice" Referendum.... Never has "I am Australian" being a fitting song for all Australians. I have never felt so proud to become an Australian.
It is July 2023, and Judith’s matchless voice is still perfect. I’m an American who has loved Judith’s beautiful voice for the past 58 years; since 1965. Incredible voice; like no other. Rest in peace, dear lady.
Totaly true !
May she rest in peace.
@arsip Judith RiP from Germany.
Just think, if there had been no rebellion in the American colonies, you in what is now the USA could have become like Australia and in fact in even better.
King George was no tyrant and all the things the colonists asked for where anyway granted or about to be
@@Gjerrild2 Why would you make such a ridiculous comment? Nothing agapist Australia, but the USA is the GREATEST country in the world. Do I need to remind you that had it not been for the USA your beloved England would be speaking German today.
Shocked that wikipedia and lists of the famous who died in 2022 do not include the wondrous-voiced Judith Durham. Well, not forgotten by me.
Omg really? I know every word to every song because of my parents, and im a brit. That's disgusting that!!!
Rest Judith and sing for the angels ❤
RIP Judith, your voice is one that can never be replicated.. a true aussie lady... thankyou thankyou thankyou... and let us all sing along with her.. I am Australian... We are one, but we are many, and from all the lands on earth we come...
From Blighty, a truly wonderful voice and as you say never to be replicated. We have all lost something special.
I was very saddened to hear of her passing. She had one of the best voices ever. RIP Dear Heart
Judith had one of the purest, most beautiful voices I have ever heard. I am very sad to hear of her passing.
I'm gutted. I hadn't heard the news of Judith's death until I noticed your comment with the "RIP." Over the last few years, I have come to listen to the Seekers a lot on RUclips and absolutely loved her voice. I was listening just now as a matter of routine, not as a tribute or a memorial.
RIP Judith
What a great song....what an awesome voice. Thanks so much Judith
I am a kiwi but proud to have attended the Seekers final performance- unbelievable Judith had the best voice I have heard in my 70 plus years
You’re so privileged to have heard the beautiful voice of Judith ❤
My god ! She had a voice! Remarkable she didn’t get more attention. Simply one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. RIP Judith.
Partly because the Seekers chose to split after 5 years. Long time before they reformed.
As an American “I Am Australian” has made me cry more than I care to admit. God bless you Australia!
watch Linda Ronsted sing them star spangled banner

As an Aussie God bless America 🇺🇸
What kind of guitars are they playing? They sound weird.
They're just normal Acoustic Guitars. 6 String for Bruce and 12 for Keith. I believe theirs just some odd doubling or phaser effect happening due to the way the broadcast was recorded.@@dlk1dlk1They're also probably electric acoustics, so being pluged directly into the sound system gives them an odd sound.
Stunning. As a Scot, I've got a wee tear in my eye. So sad to hear of Ms Durhams passing. One of the most beautiful singing voices I've ever had the good forture to listen to. 😥
Yes she was bless with a beautiful voice a shame it had taken 25 years to get back together a lot of songs wasted

I have never in my life heard anything that could compare to the Seekers doing “Waltzing Matilda” here. What a voice!
And what an arrangement! It just turn (with Judith's unbeliveable voice) this simple and gorgeous song to an another level. Really great! 😍🎶
Once again this old lady from USA was brought to tears by Seekers singing what should be their National anthem, We Are Australian. Judith was brighter than all worlds gems together. Thank you Seekers.
Hello Carole, how are you doing?
Thankyou…..
Im an American man who was introduced to The Seekers music several years ago. I listen to them often and i must admit, Princess Judith's voice gives me a lump in my throat. Such beauty, purity and innocence in her voice
Great lady and so humble!

I am a proud American but every time I hear them sing this I become a little Australian. Be proud Australia you have every reason to be. Thank you for always being our friend.

I'm a proud Aussie and we get along with all who are "Fairdinkum".
Judith Durham's wonderful voice has the ability to reduce me to tears every time I hear it. Me, a grown man; I have to listen in private. Thanks to whatever providence gave her that talent, and to her for sharing it with us.
I wonder how old the lovely Judith Durham is now, I do hope she's still around.
All the years such a wonderful unchanged voice Judith carries forward amazing sound from all four 🏴😉
She was 18 in 1962...@50 in the video and still alive today at @ 77 yrs old. I believe she is retired.
I was standing in the crowd at this grand final working as a First Aider and I was trying so hard not to cry but did. It was an amazing feeling and sound that swept through the arena. One of the highlights of my life hence why I’m looking back at this video decades later!
@M but AFL requires real football players with athletic abilities, not paid actors like we see often in Soccer.
Each to their own I suppose.
I heard the world ends as we know it in 2045, & if that’s true, that screws your plan a little. 😂
As I heard that Judith Durham passed away, it was one of the sadest moments for me. The seekers were very popular all over the world even in Germany. Her powerful, angelic voice was unique! Combined with her outstanding personality she was indeed national treasure. Australias beloved darling has gone. In her songs she will live for ever! Rest in Peace, Judith.
Poderoso ser y poderosa voz.
I am from India and I myself grew up listing some of the best numbers of The Seekers. I don't know to which country they belongs to. But for sure I know "music speaks no language, but feelings of heart."
I recently come to know that the famous band Modern Talking and BoneyM were German.

I still cry when I see a video of Judith Durham singing!😊
From time to time God loans us one of his angels.
Like ABBA is to Sweden The Seekers are to Australia-- the best exports of each nation. RIP Judith. You sing with the angels now. Deepest condolences to your family, your big brothers on The Seekers and to the Land Down Under!
Well said, Tim
Yes the Seekers and Abba gave their countries a musical place in this world and showed the Americans and Brits there is real talent outside their borders. No surprise the Aussies adored Abba. I will listen to these groups and the ladies on vocals for the rest of my life. Humble and talented few can match their legacy. Thank you Judith for making this a better world !

@@supergrissi you probably know by now, what a massive, beautiful archive Judith has left behind. And maybe you've discovered how thousands, millions maybe, of young boys lost their hearts to her in the sixties, probably at first sight, and in their seventies are now hiding in a room away from their wives, watching her and crying, like I have been on and off the last three days.
A little bit of me died when I heard Judith had passed on, she and the guys were such a large part of my youth. Rest in peace my love, may your music never die.

Never get tired of listening to Judith's voice.
As a Yorkshireman , WE went to see the Seekers at Sheffield , and were stunned by Judith,s marvellous voice. and when later she came as a solo artist to Bradford her performance was absolutely stunning, we many encores . We decided to wait at the stage door in case she made an appearance, which she did. What a lovely lady she spent time talking and we obtained her autograph on the programme and on one of her cd,s we had with us. The memories will live for ever. RIP Judith
I mourn the loss of a great singer. I'll Never Find Another You" is at the top of my all time favorites. RIP Judith.
Here in Germany I had English lessons from an Australian in the 1970s. If we were diligent and she was satisfied with our work, we were allowed to learn Australian songs from her. She was a trained music teacher. I still know "Waltzing Mathilda" from this time. I love this song. Judith Durham's version touches me deeply.
Your English is perfect. You do your teacher proud.
As a marine on R&R in Singapore in 66. All I heard were the Seekers and Judith! A lovely young lady, with a voice of an angel. I have to play this clip every so often!

Rest in peace wonderful Judith! As a 6 yrs old boy, in 1968, I got my first pop music single. It was "Georgy Girl" and I played it so the rest of my family went mental. Tonight, as a 60 yrs old man, I'll drive my neighbours to the same point playing only The Seekers. And my God, I will cry! You will be so missed!

Judith is one of the most underrated vocals of the sixties...I dont think she ever believed she was as good as she truly was...I could never understand why they quit performing !!
You don't know much about her then. She's got a big ego. She quit the band to pursue her own selfish ends, a solo career. That's why, they stopped playing.
That was Judith Cock all over. Me me me.
@@pmonkeygeezer6212 Isn't she allowed to try something different then.... you weirdo.
@@pmonkeygeezer6212 They times changed, the music changed, the record label wanted them to change. Judith wanted to stretch her wings. They had been together a long time before they broke up. All groups break up eventually. Except the Rolling Stones.
Jumbo I don’t think Judith was ever underrated. I really just believe that the music was changing to heavier rock and roll and her voice didn’t suit it. I love some of her jazz and blues stuff, but it wasn’t given air time.

I have no idea how I missed this tragic news. Judith was my first crush (I was 5 years old) I can remember sitting on my big sisters knee and being captivated by her voice. My sister passed away during the covid pandemic and sitting at the service it was this happy memory that got me through. Words like legend and national treasure are thrown around like confetti these days and in doing so those words meanings are diluted. Judith, on the other hand, is the epitome of the true meaning of the aforementioned words. So, from a 6'4" hairy arsed Scot who seems to be crying like the wee 5 year old boy, please accept my sincerest condolences, your country has lost a real star.

WOW! Judith Durham has got to be the most beautiful, talented, singing voice ever to be heard in history! Especially, the vibrato is so precisely controlled, it’s like none other ever produced by any singer in our lifetime! What a major dichotomy! It took this girl to sing Georgia Girl, making it number one international, from a small nation, tho large in size, but small in population to bring a number one hit whose hight in singing, and beauty, will never be matched again by anyone else!

I thoroughly agree. She was unique. There was nobody with a voice like hers, or a sound like theirs. But I think what made them sound so different was that they were not British or American, but Australian, plus she had a voice from heaven. Too many people dismissed them as easy listening as they only got to hear a handful of their hits. But they made great albums that were more musically versatile. God bless Judith.

I always loved this song when I was a child.
At 80, I never thought any music other than classical could ever again bring such deep and satisfying joy to my mind and soul. Recently after this magnificent woman had passed away, I started finding all these comments praising her as a person and as a phenomenal singer. So, I started investigating these accolades concerning her. How is it possible I had lived all these years with no knowledge whatsoever of this incredible woman? I had heard some of her and their songs in the past, but only as background music on a car radio.
Now, I cannot get enough of Judith. If it's possible to fall in love with someone who is no longer here, that has been my fate. I have observed her life from a girl to an old(er) woman, and her perfect voice and awesome
personality, her character, her genuine enthusiasm for life, her utter lack of even a trace of sleazy behavior or attitude.......has simply seized control of my mind. The voice,
the genuineness, the authentic womanliness......she owns my affection forever.
