  • Here we go, the whole job start to finish in one sitting. Replacing the lower clutch fork bush on an MG3. Corrosion between the gearbox casing and bush causes the release arm to seize, the symptom being a stiff clutch pedal which can sometimes stick down when releasing the pedal.

      @@pistonbroke I was trying to think of a way to prevent it but I’m not sure there is. The aluminum gearbox will always corrode in uk weather conditions. I guess you could smear grease into the end of the hole but that’s about it. Bit frustrating really.

    Thanks for the great video. I also have an MG3 but in my case I had a leaking slave cylinder. Any tips on how to bleed it after replacing? Do you need a second person to press the clutch, or is it possible to do it on your own?

    Hello, great job, i have an automatic gear mg3 and i replaced my clutch kit 6 months ago, i always have the same problems, 1 my rear gear sometiems don’t work, the car vibrate a lot in first gear, do you have any idea to solve problems, thank you

    • @pistonbroke
      @pistonbroke  Год назад

      We don't have the automatic in the UK so I've never seen one and had no experience with them. I do know that it's a manual gearbox with motors on it to control the shift and clutch, these motors need to be relearned when ever the clutch is replaced so that the ecu knows the correct biting point of the clutch. I can only suggest that you take it to a dealer and have them calibrate the clutch. If that doesn't fix it then the flywheel or clutch cover could be warped.

    Really Great video really easy to follow ,i suprised how tight the shaft was ,I change clutch and bearing as low and oil filter while cover off went back together no problem but now have bad rattling/vibrating noise when rev the engine so may have to drop down again ,any ideas?

    • @pistonbroke
      @pistonbroke  Год назад +1

      Can't think of anything at the gearbox end that would cause that noise. Did you turn the engine backwards when tightening the clutch? The valve timing can jump if the engine is turned the wrong way, especially on a pre 2016 car.

    • @Beef_Beasley
