I backed these on their original kickstarter. Got a seatpost and stem bundle with a discount. Love all of them, makes riding safer and more comfortable. Can't have too many lights!

I ride a Class 3 e-bike in an Urban Jungle. It's dangerous. That's why I'm always on the search to enhance my safety. These pedals can be a real deal solution to make it easier for cars to notice a night time cyclist.
I've seen the first edition pedals before and my reaction was that better traction was needed to help me keep my feet on the pedals, when coming across a big bump or pothole at high speeds. This 2.0 version appears to have addressed that issue. To my knowledge, there is nothing else on the market like these pedals. They appear to be very well engineered.
Besides my quality and powerful aftermarket head and taillights on my bike, I have an impressive taillight built into my helmet. I'm all ready well seen at night. I know that I sound a bit wishy-washy, maybe I don't need more lights? These pedals are a bit on the pricey side, on the other hand can one put a price on personal safety?

A while back I was watching a RUclips do an ebike assembly and he put red loctite on his pedal threads. I did not know if I should laugh or cry. Good luck getting those babies off.

Nothing a heat gun can’t tackle, but I’m not envying him. Very high probability that he’ll damage something. Only thing you should put on the pedal threads is dielectric grease.

I do riding after dark so first thing I swapped on the Kepler, I really appreciate the multi flash LEDs safety factor and spikes also and recharging is quick, I lost one last night so I'm getting a replacement now & saw the video, I don't know if someone liked it outside a box store or it fell out over a pothole? $29.99 I'll be sure to off them when I leave it alone I was letting them idle down / blink when moved, could have caught some bodies eye? Never had any car contact with them on, daytime not so much so I added a nice rechargeable headlight flasher, I really want to add front & better rear directionals next.

😮 Dang. Yeah, they could definitely catch someone’s attention.

Just a note for all...I don't know how bright the Hyper-flash is. If these pedal light are bright enough, the Hyper-flash mode can act like a strobe and mess with drivers night time eye vision.

Maybe this helps keep my feet steady away from clipping the front fender on my Kepler 😁Good video✌

My stock pedals on my e-bike were ok during my first few rides now the right side feels as if the bearings inside are loose making each turn click and feeling uncomfortable. How are these as far as smoothness?

Those will collect mud off road if you're out in mud.. But 99% of the time you just get dust on them..
