You can use Babassu oil.. my daughter allergic to coconut oil Babassu oil is a substitute For people that’s allergic to coconut oil it’s a year later and you probably already have this information
Great video, Kendra. You always do such a good job with editing to make it look so pretty. Just a little hint - I have used coffee grounds before for a scrub & it screwed up my plumbing. Kendra used a small amount so I'm sure it's fine but try not to use more than that. Happy Friday everyone :)
You have great, classy and informative videos... God Bless You! 😊👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼 Thanks for sharing how easy it is to make scrubs!!! I can't wait to make my own! 🎉
You've been a big help to me.I've tried a lot of your suggestions and I'm definitely going to try this. I am eating that gluten free bread you like right now with flax seed meal, almond butter and sliced bananas. It's so delicious. Thank you for the suggestion. I also got that cleaning spray off vitacost and I love it! @Kendra Atkins
I always add honey to mine, too. And fresh lemon juice. And yes, you can use it on your face. I make mine with brown sugar and use it on my face once or twice a week
Room temperature is fine - the only problem I've run across with the coffee grounds is it has causes some plumbing issues - I had used 100% coffee grounds though. I like the idea of only using a little bit like Miss Kendra did. Just be aware. You'll love the scrub though. :)
What's the shelf life of this Scrub?? Do we need to add any preservative for longer shelf life , if yes then which preservative should we add and how much quantity of preservative we add if we follow this recipe??
I just started making soaps and wanted to start making sugar scrubs and salt scrubs but I was told they can Mold without preservative put into it. Will this happen? or how long do they usually stay good? please let me know :) thanks
Natalie Marie, they will mold if you use water or water gets into it. So if you add water then you should use a preservative, but it you use it up quickly (I do, because I love them) Tran no need too worry
I'm definitely going to make these, thanks! :) I make naturals videos too and just shared my terrible gluten intolerance story if anyone wants to check it out :)

I didn't realize it's so easy... I love the dark one
Oh also, if you make your own almond milk, what's left over, the almond meal, is great for scrubs too. :)

Dear Kendra Atkins
Are these formulas can be used with Asian skin ?
Love the video , thanks
Very helpful! Thanks! Could you use these as lip scrubs also?
GreenISH Katie yeah you can. Face, body & lips but maybe use white sugar for face since it's finer than brown sugar.
perfect! thank you so much
I made the first one and added some honey also can u use this on your face
I always add honey to mine, too. And fresh lemon juice. And yes, you can use it on your face. I make mine with brown sugar and use it on my face once or twice a week
where did you get those measuring cups. they're so pretty
Question, when you use the coffee grounds do you need to keep it in the fridge?
💜 this!
I use a mix of white and brown sugar
Could I use baby oil?
yes!
Made the coffee one! Do you keep yours in the fridge or just at room temperature?
Room temperature is fine - the only problem I've run across with the coffee grounds is it has causes some plumbing issues - I had used 100% coffee grounds though. I like the idea of only using a little bit like Miss Kendra did. Just be aware. You'll love the scrub though. :)
Thanks! Oh no, did the coffee grounds just end up clumping up in your pipes?
I did first one
Can u use coconut oil?
Karla Guerra Yes
Yes
Do you have to use used coffee grounds, and can you just grind some beans and add them to your scrub?
Can either one of these be used on the face? I like gritty faces scrubs to really get the dead skin off.
+Kirstyn Rhoden I'm sure they can be...I make a sugar, olive oil, lemon, and honey face scrub and the ratios are very similar!
Okay great! I'll be doing a simple DIY face scrub then because the one I like to buy is too expensive!
What's the shelf life of this Scrub??
Do we need to add any preservative for longer shelf life , if yes then which preservative should we add and how much quantity of preservative we add if we follow this recipe??

i wonder how long can the scrub stay and how to store in to prevent mold
Aproxamity 3 months depending how you store it
Can you use canola oil
💜💜💜💜💜💜 LOVE!! Scrubs have to be like my favorite body product! Thanks for sharing these amazing recipes! I can't wait to try one out!
Where do u keep them, in the fridge or cupboards
Can I add coffee powder instead of coffee grounds?
MIKHÁEL It won't be the same
How long do they last
What is the shelf life please ?
I have been watching lots of videos about scrubs and some people use preservatives and some don't...... advice?
can i use brown sugar olive oil and vanilla extract
When you add the coffee grounds does it make the mixture smell like coffee?
Yes, the coffee beans
Where did you get the measuring cup from?
can you make these into body scrub sugar cubes? this recipe I mean with the olive oil, will it work?
I've never tried!
Which app do u use for montage
is it the same if i do not put an essential oil? do i get the same result?
Yup! Essential oil is just for aromatherapy! It's totally optional
What can I substitute the jojoba oil for?
Did you use used coffee?
I want to ask.. Can i use coconut oil.. Instead olive oil?
fieda1993 yes! Coconut oil will prabably work better
Anyone know how long these scrubs will keep?
One month
What is the shelf life of this product. It must expire since you're using sugar right??
I have the same question as well... like how long can I keep it? And where to store it?
Sugar doesn't really have expire date. It's the oils that gets bad if you don't seal them properly
What is the shelf life for this
Scould i storie It in the fridge?
the coffee you use to make the actual scrub is used? I mean like maybe from the coffee you've made in the morning
Lidia Lopez Yes
So can we use the wet coffee?
Can you do it without the essential oils?
ya!
can you make that into a shower gel scrub?
Doesn't the auger melt over time?
can you use raw sugar?
Does vegtibal oil work?
Boop B yeah I think
I would not use vegetable oil. Coconut oil or grapeseed oil works too.
I'm definitely going to make these, thanks! :)
I make naturals videos too and just shared my terrible gluten intolerance story if anyone wants to check it out :)
Possibly late to the game and I'm sure you get this a lot but you look like Olivia Wild.
Is instant coffee okay instead of coffee grounds?
