The problem I see with mounting the four link on the outside of the frame is that if they wanted to mount some fat meats on the rear the link bars would be in the way.
Travis, Just watching at the 19 min mark and you spoke about cutting off the front section of the four link bracket that's hanging up. Yes notch it in to the frame but just weld it on and once all welded heat up that front tab section that you were going to cut off and bend it forward then notch into the chassis rail, weld it in and it will awesome. Just saying. But she's looking good.
Interesting episode. Might be good to have the back member assembled with the axels, brakes and wheels to make sure the clearances OK with the 4 link mounting.
I would think about swapping and flipping the forward 4 bar mounts. It looks like there's more meat to weld to on the frame. Just an observation. You're there and can see better than me.
I see you are mounting --- FATMAN SUSPENSION --- by the size of those four link bars should handle anything he throws at it ---- Like some of your comments below ----- will your customer have room with the bars mounted on the outside of the frame --- if he wants to run some wide tires ----- curios what Fatman has to say about --- two right side calipers ------- Thanks for sharing the video ---- enjoy the build ----- Rodney
What is that floor pan for? If its stock 63 Galaxie it would have cleared the X member once you used the body mounts. At least it did from the factory!!
With the 2 holes in the top of the X-member I was thinking a center bearing was hung there for a 2 piece driveshaft. Is there a plan to put on a new top plate and cut out the bottom plate to run a 1 piece driveshaft? Or will the car be so low that a 1 piece driveshaft will through the middle of that X-member? I did notice the audible SNAP every time the TIG turned on to glue the 4-link ends on, must have had the heat cranked up on that one!
Looks great but my first thought is it looks like it takes away from wide wheels under the body. Thinking a 63 does not let wheels protrude from the body. Could be wrong just my first thought is all we
Those bars are going to hit axle tube when it moved those should be on front of tube that kit not for that car should have triangle four bars.and you didn't need to cut the spindles boy that's gonna be a death tide hope you got insurance if he died you will be sued.
If you’re starter motor won’t engage put the car into gear and rock it back and forth while just stabbing the starter button. When it engages push the clutch it and bobs your non binary relative.

Love the restraint used on the “greasing the bearings subject”. Very nice-nice 😂
👍🤣🤣
Some people just don't get the idea of not greasing till final assembly
@@farfromdonemotors6796some people have knowledge on proper bearing handling. Your build do what you want, they sell replacement bearings.
Looks like you've got a high-dollar roller on your hands 👍
Interesting new build and enjoy your approach and excitement with chassis work. Go RAC, keep moving forward!

Hi from Australia. Great video. Good progress 👍

What size tire and wheel width are you working with as you my have clearance issues with the forward upper and lower links. Great start though
Did the owner give you any idea of the wheel tire combination for clearance 🤔 I don’t know how you can do that job without a body to measure from 🤯

I hope you have wheel and tire clearance?
Question…….i bought a used English wheel that is very dirty. How or with what should I polish the rollers?
Will they be able to tuck the wheels inside the wheel wells.
The rear brackets should be on the front of the axle tube 😬
Shouldn't you pack the bearings and paint the Chassis before you build it???😂😂😂😂 Sorry Travis.... Couldn't resist....🤯🙃
Did you have to grease any palms ? I guess you're wondering what bearing this has ...
He needs to seal the deal.
is this a customer build ? if you said i missed it
Looking good, but is this yours or a customers?

looks to me not much room for rims
