  • In this video I will walk you through the travel bag system for my Honda CRF250L. So it's a tool bag, a motorcycle tank bag, side bags and a large central motorcycle rear bag. I also use a backpack, which is an addition to a set of bags for a long trip. Is this enough? How do you think?

If you want even more storage that will work with your kit get some panears/saddle bags for your gas tank. They make them specifically for dirtbikes and could be a good addition

This is a great idea. So far, I have not had time to fully test the set of bags that I have. As they will not be enough, I will probably use your idea. But the question is where to mount these bags?

I to have a CRF250L I bought new In 2014. It was to be my girlfriends bike but it turned out to be just to tall. In 2021 I Shipped the bike to the mainland USA. I spent 4.5 months looking for every dirt road I could find, and put almost 13,000 miles on the bike. Like you I had all the space anyone could possibly need. A word of warning. You don't need half of what you think and if you ignore this you will pay with broken spokes and blown fork seals. I know it's hard to leave stuff behind, but you don't really need it all. I to have a RUclips Chanel Your welcome to check out, I videoed the entire trip, With the break downs and all. my Chanel is : Pat McGuinness, and is the one with the picture in the circle. Stay safe and enjoy. Aloha Pat

Thanks! I will definitely check out the story about your trip. About all these things in the bags, it seems everything comes with experience.

I have very similar - but not quite as nice as yours - great job.
I have same screen with Samsung rugged tab, but the 8" tablet is very big.
I have similar hand guards, skidplate, rear tray with rotopax gas tank.
    I don't have a toolbag, or saddlebags.
I am thinking about trying to mount a Tool Tube down as low as possible ... but cannot find a good location.

If you have an engine guard on your bike you can try welding some mounts for your tool bag onto the top side of engine guard.

    Thanks.
