    I really enjoyed learning about your setup, and the scenery. I think I would struggle with the limited storage space this bike has. I think this video helped me understand that a KLR650 with big ass boxes is more suitable for me. Thanks again.

      Glad to hear that you’ve enjoyed the video!
      With this set up I can manage to go camping but it’s just at the limit.
      If there is no camping involved then it’s very comfortable and the bags are not fully packed.

    That's a great setup! Then to have the ability to carry fuel and tools so nicely for day to day rides is a bonus. Would be nice in a future video to see what tools you carry for the 300L. Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks, Russel!
      That’s it! I was very happy when I realised that I could use the 4litres (2x) bags from Mosko Moto for a basic set up for daily rides. Super convenient.
      Cheers

    I've had the same rear and side rack luggage system from Adventure Spec, but I disagree on the importance of them. I've taken the side luggage racks off, because it pushes any luggage system too much to the side (in my opinion). The rear rack also flares out way to much to the side, in comparison to something like the Rally Raid rear rack, which goes with the lines of the bike.
    I did keep the lower mounting points of the side luggage racks on the bike, so the Mosko or other systems can use it as an attachment point.
    I'll show my setup in a future video, so people who consider the rackless 80 have multiple options to go with.
    Again, thanks for the video. Your content is high quality as always!

      Hey mate! Glad to see you here again in the comment section.
      I get your point. I do like them but I think the upper mounting point could be improved. I don’t fully trust this little L shaped bracket.
      Your comment about the size of the rear rack is totally valid. It doesn’t follow the shape of the motorcycle so nicely.

    That was a well thought out review and obviously coming from experience. Well done. I too have a 300 Rally over here in New Zealand. I used a one piece rackless Giant Loop Great Basin off road with all my tent food and cooking gear. Only having one opening was very frustrating, particularly because I had to carry filming equipment for my utube adventure channel and a small lap top. I normally carry a drone as well when using my Africa Twin. I had no room for my drone on the 300. I could never get a rthym going with packing. I also had a giant loop tankbag and an expandable zip back at the back. So.... like you I now have a reckless v80 and it makes so much sense, althought it was a shock to the wallet. One of your best ideas is how you keep the bags close to the bike instead of strapping forward and down onto the frame. I'll be doing 4 weeks in the wildest country NZ has to off and now I feel properly equiped. Thanks for sharing

      Hi Darryl and thanks for your input!
      I’ve never used a bag with only one opening on longer trips but I can see how tricky it can be. Specially if carrying camera gear! Good to know!
      Yes, the Mosko Moto is not cheap but quality is impressive. I guess(hope) that this luggage will last me many years so the cost gets diluted over time.
      Nice channel you have and amazing place you get to ride!
      Cheers

    This is the CRF build I've been looking for. The side racks provide the protection that is needed. Without them, the bag can push the toolkit into the wheel well. Great recommendation!

      My pleasure!!
      This rear rack is rated for only 4kg.
      Knowing what I know today I no longer recommend this rear rack. It has some design issues :/. I’m now using my own design which sits much more flush to the motorcycle.

    Good explanation and Mosko Moto is great product.
    I considered to buy Mosko Moto Rev 40 cause for me 80 is too big and buy 2 is too expensive.
    I ended up with Turkana; similar system but here you can swap the side bags from 5, 10,15 and 20 liter and use either larger bag on top or one of the other bags.
    I started with 2x15 on side and 5 liter on top..... for my trips found out that 2x10 on side suits better for stuff I always carry (and free space for whatever i buy on route) . For longer trips either add 15 ltr as topbag or i swap side to 2x15 and use 10 as topbag.
    For my usage good flexibility.....

      Hey mate
      Thanks for sharing your input!
      At the beginning I was also more inclined toward the reckless 40, but finally went for the 80 pretty much due to the huge flexibility shown in this video!
      I hadn’t yet seen the Turkana bags. Thanks for sharing. Interesting system and a much more affordable. Are you happy with their bags?

      Definitely not needed on my case. Used it for about 5.000 km without issues👌

  • @stevenrees6015

    Unfortunately, it's a ridiculously expensive setup here in the UK. Not feasible on what is essentially a budget bike.

    • @RoiaMoto
      @RoiaMoto  8 месяцев назад

      Hi Steve,
      Is that because of the import duties? I think Mosko doesn’t sell directly in the UK.

    As you know I’ve the same luggage system.
    I guess that you had to drill the AS plate to install the Gnoblin, is that correct?
    Thanks

      That’s correct. Installation of the Gnoblin requires you to drill rear rack.

    • @RoiaMoto
      @RoiaMoto  7 месяцев назад +1

      I use the auxiliary 4 litres bags by themselves. That’s the most compact configuration I use.
      You also have the option to add them to the large side bags but that’s too much for me.

    Could you give a suggestion about V3 or V4 of mosko reckless? Is it worth it? Financially quite a difference. Would be great.

    • @RoiaMoto
      @RoiaMoto  7 месяцев назад

      Hi mate,
      I have to say that I’m really happy with the v3 and see no reason to upgrade.
      The v4 main difference is the new composite material for the base.
      In my opinion if you can get the v3 for a better price, go for it. That’s what I would do.

    • @RoiaMoto
      @RoiaMoto  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Ondrej
      You mean the rubber (voile) straps?
      Originally it comes with a fabric strap that has a buckle with it. This strap loops around a metal bar that is inside the side bag holster. The idea is the same. Just substitute the fabric straps by the rubber straps.
