Breakdown is the main concern, its not about small or big component. I have 1.5 mt and using xp95 because of this epc issue fear which kinda increasing my cost of ownership. Person who faced epc issue will have always a trust issue on car that it can breakdown anytime. Even now after 10-12k km people are facing this epc issue. Vw should have software update for this to just make epc light on the dashboard and let the engine run inspite of completely stopping/ breakdown so the person can reach at safe location or home and take it to SC asap.
Epc error occurred in taigun after 2.5 years in narrow hilly area, with family inside, god saved us. Car towed to service station and got the delivery next day. Same issue occurs after 3 days. Who should we blame now? Should i move to consumer court for not rectifying the problem even after informing the company and you guys are saying that the company replaces the part by itself.

My Question to Munishji, Why EPC warning light/sign is there only in VW,skoda cars?? I haven't seen any EPC warning sign in any other car.. Why other car don't get EPC fuel pump issue? 1.0 tsi Engine which used to came in Vento, Polo and Rapid was imported VW started manufacturing 1.0 tsi locally with tuning respect to fuel efficiency that's why it doesn't feel as quick as Vento/Rapid/Polo
What are you saying about service of VW is ideal situation. However, it totally depends on that particular dealer in the city. Not all dealers have same service quality. I used Polo for 7 years and now using Taigun. So, speaking from experience of last 7 years in Kolkata.
A few weeks ago around 25th December I was travelling in my Karoq 1.5 TSI DSG from Panipat to Gurgaon when I encountered EPC warning light on Virtual Cockpit and felt a little power loss as the car was not as eager to rev as it normally does and I had to press the accelerator harder compared to how I normally drive. Somehow reached my home in Gurgaon, When I visited Skoda Service Centre I found out that the fuel station at Panipat from where I refilled my car (Full tank) had several impurities and Water content in it due to which the fuel injectors were choked which triggered the EPC light and power loss. It just took the cleaning of the fuel pump to resolve the issue.....
I faced this issue in 2024. Bought my first VW car in Dec 2024. Virtus 1.0 AT With in 6 months and odometer is near 3300km only and I got EPC light issue. Went to service center 3 times. In 3rd visit car stayed for over 4-5 days and ultimately they changed fuel pump. Will keep you updated on the progress as of now I am yet to get my car
@@Gupta.Ankit. Now the display before the engine started earlier was displayed while the car was running. I don't know what the root causes. If I turned on ignition that time many pre check lights turned on and gone but EPc warning still displayed once I started the car was gone. That's what I believe is expected behaviour now?

VW has 160 problems per 100 cars, whereas the top reliable brand has 80 problems per 100 cars. 2. Toyota, Hyundai & Kia are in the top 5 most reliable brands as per JD power? whereas these brands are nowhere close to VW in terms of safety. 3. Does JD power ratings makes any sense?
No, these ratings makes no sense. They also play in the hands of successful players just like how Kia Carens got car of the year award. I would not even touch that death can, leave aside buying one.

Paaji my 2020 vento 1.0 TSI AT also had this EPC issue but it was fixed within a day. I have driven 45,000 kms without any issue and the performance is phenomenal.

Volkswagen recommends 95 ron petrol and minimum 91 ron petrol. The word locally is that people filling 95 ron will not face epc and people filling 91 ron might or might not face it - its like a ticking bomb. What are your thoughts on it? Should i keep filling 95 ron with added 8/- per litre cost?

My Skoda Slavia Style 1 Tsi Automatic is not starting. Got towed to the skoda service center Prayagraj today. The Epc light is showing and the problem has not been diagnosed yet. My car has done only 3000 kms. I feel helpless and cheated by the brand. Also i would like to tell u that i have always refilled my car with xp95 fuel. What would u say now ?
Paaji, my Polo TSI AT (2021) has shown EPC error 2 times till now (only when I switched on the engine for the first time in a day). I was suggested by the dealer to re-start the car and the EPC light went away, I know it was not the solution but the error did not flash again, touchwood. I hope I do not see the EPC error in future. Please suggest if I need to still get is replaced? Great topic to discuss, Kudos!
Amazing analysis and explanation by Munish Sir. This is a catch 22 situation is Skoda / VW paying the price for localisation in India and giving jobs to Indian people. Our Indian suppliers should take care that they should provide sub standard products. We get the 2.0 things by now. Honestly the VW cars are not future ready; let me tell you how. 1. E20 fuel, we all know it's coming. VW should have already offered it 2. 4 Airbags Standard; again this will come soon 3. Half baked TPMS. ( I guess 2023 models are coming with TPMS Standard) 4. Poor showroom experience and after sales experience. 5. No clarity on parts, they say 95% localization etc. but have you seen any accessories around the local shops e.g. Karol Bagh? 6. Any policy on car's value if I want to sell it after 5-7 years with VW Why I ask these things from VW group and not Hyundai / Maruti? a. Because they have established in the Market already. b. You find parts and mechanics for Hyundai / Maruti everywhere and good resale. So, the VW group can't beat these companies in their own game. They should focus on an educated buyer and the educated buyer will be very pissed in the next 2-3 years once all the above 6 point start to bite him/her. My POV: I am looking for an upgrade from my Hyundai i10. My car is pretty old and I have been through a lot of issues with it including a complete engine overhaul. This car made me half a mechanic and trust me when I tell you this: the best product is the one that never makes you learn the technicities behind it. What this means is - it should do its job just good enough so you don't have to worry about the Parts/EPC/AC/Servicing/After Sales etc. and focus on your life/work/family and the things that are really important for you. The same reason why iPhones are popular or Maruti/Hyundai are popular.

Munish Sir, Can you also shed a bit light on 91 Octane and 95 Octane petrol? You have already answered this indirectly, however, still want to confirm that using 95 Octane petrol is not a requirement for these engines.
Sir 95 octane petrol is perfect match for any turbo charges petrol engines. Bcz dey spin fast nd fuel is finely atomised by direct injection so higher octane petrol will ignite better
This Fuel Pump issue is big one for VW, I own a VW Virtus 1.0 MT and I always thought EPC error would not happen to me it has been resolved but in the end of May while going on Highway with family in 40+ degree Celsius I had EPC error, I was driving at 60 to 70 KMPH and car hesitated to pick RPM from 2500 tp 3000, and after that engine shut off, and when I tried to start again EPC error came up, Had to flatbed tow it back to my hometown, and VW replaced the Fuel pump, MY car is October 2022 model and it has run 33000 KM. This is big issue with VW 2.0... I Think every VW 2.0 owner is going face this EPC error, They have not fixed this, even Sunderdeep ji will face this

It is relieving to know that epc wasn’t a such a major issue as it was been showcased by uneducated buyers and influencers…I personally feel bad for those who were completely in the mood to buy a kushaq/taigun in 2021 but stepped back due such a small issue… anyways now that’s it’s sorted hope people enjoy their cars
It seems multiple replacements also didn't fix the issue for many Kushaq owners. People are still worried about whether the new pumps are reliable with the regular petrol or not.

The point is, more checks you put in place and more robust you try to make the process, more are the number of errors that you will encounter. That is exactly what happens in case of this EPC issue with VW group cars. Other budget brands dont even bother to put a check around this.

My Octavia 2022, suddenly started jerking at higher RPM’s, Skoda guys don’t have a clue, they are trying to retune the DSG. Waiting for some solution from Skoda, will keep you posted.
Nothing in the diagnosis, no error codes were hit. They will recalibrate the DSG, which is done by running the vehicle for some time on the roads. it seems they will connect the engine to a laptop and the soft ware will tell the driver what to do. For example, it will ask the driver to go on 40 Kmph, once it is driven for 40 kmph, then the software will ask the driver to hit higher speeds, so on and so forth. Hi Singh Ji. I own salvia 1.5 dsg bought in feb 2023 . Always used xp 95 Indian oil petrol only. Had epc issue today. Engine not rev more than 4000 rpm. And it got stalled. Different engine noise while attempting to start .

Sir still this issue is present. today my Škoda slavia dsg has breakdown due to this issue. My car is 5 months old ambition model . This issue is not fixed and now occurring in DSG 1.5 cars . Interestingly driver side window glass rebound issue is also in my car. How can you say this issue is permanently fixed. Sir ask those who are suffering from this issue. Sir mene nayi virtus 1.5GT leli. Mera 2 issues dikh rhe he ab tak. 1. Jab me engine ko cold start karta hun, car ke andar kuch shhhhhh jese awaz aata he, jese AC compressor blow kr rha he against a closed opening.. I realised that this is not related to AC because its not going away even when i turn off AC. I dont know if it completely goes off or not as i drive, but it becomes less noticeable. I want to know if this is normal or abnormal. my car has run only 450km till now since last 10 days, and i have had this issue since day 1. Is this normal? 2. Second one is related to auto engine start-stop function. User manual says 3 conditions are required for this system to work. Driver door should be shut, driver seatbelt should be worn, and lastly we should have moved the car at more than 4kmph after last stop. If these conditions are not met, when i press brake to bring the car to stop, the auto ignition off-on function will tell me through logo display that engine is nt going to turn off because conditions not met. Mere car me sab kuch haphazard fashion me horaha he. a. When i go over bigger humps slowly, the engine turns off, and on when i depress brake, and turns off when i let go of the brake. It should not at all turn off when the car has not stopped. b. In traffic signal, when i come to stop, it doesnt auto turn off ignition. Sometimes it turns the ignition off. when i dont take my foot off the brake, it will turn on engine after like 20 seconds and the engine will keep running.
I am having EPC problem of my Polo (1.2L petrol) since the first 6 months of purchase. Purchased on April 2015. The workshop people tried their best to resolve the matter but could not provide permanent solution. Throttle body, petrol filter replaced. Tried every possible method, but no fruitful result. **** ISSUE in NEW SLAVIA - July 2023 MFG, 350KMS Driven**** Munish ji, I got the EPC issue in 1.5 MT, manufactured in July,2023. Driven only 350 kms and I used XP95. The car suddenly showed EPC error and Cruise control light also glowed up. This resulted in the care getting limited to 1200 RPM. I had to eventually get the car towed. SC is not able to tell anything when I shared the problem with them. Now waiting for another person to take a look at the SC. Can you share your opinion. Thanks and waiting in anticipation
Can you anyone face EPC warning on Taigun Comfortline I recently purchased while traveling Jhansi to Bengaluru. We have filled petrol on highway petrol pump in between Nagpur and Hyderabad i observed EPC warning. But continue EPC warning reached Bengaluru. When i start car EPC warning came and continue displayed. But when car start moving automatically gone. I need to worry on the EPC warning issue or this expected behaviour??

Don't know about the 1.5 but my 1.0 in polo runs a bit noisier on normal petrol hence I have only filled normal petrol once and have been filling xp95 since

Sir aapki information bilkul sahi hai no doubt on that, But epc ke part ka fail hona safety se concern hai. My car today stopped immediately luckily i was in a my city but what if i was on a delhi-mumbai expressway or any other highway where there are safety concerns that could be a disaster,anything could have happen to my family there The company should recall all cars related to that issue and check whether it has that part or not just like honda did that abs fault. I am a huge fan of Volkswagen group but today i lost some confidence.
@@thurules The check engine light popped up at around 9pm when I was returning from the grocery store. I parked the car and went home for dinner. At night around 12:30 am I couldn’t stop thinking about this so went for a short 1 hour drive on the highway cruising at 80. When I came back and parked the car the light was still there. Next day at 2:30pm I was leaving to visit the Service Centre. When I started the car, the check engine light was gone. I still went to there and got the checkup and Swagath Free Service done. Now after a week there is no issue at all. My service experience at VW PALACE CROSS, Bangalore - The person I was dealing with was very professional. Some parts were not fixed back properly when I got tints from an aftermarket shop. I was not aware about this. After the service when I went to pick my car, they showed me that some screw was missing from the corner of the door panel which was not visible if you did not put your finger in and feel it. This showed me how minutely they have inspected my car. Overall great experience.
One day I saw it was showing EPC on my screen while driving, I called service Agent, he said where did you filled the fuel, i said Indian Oil, and it was for the first time I filled at Indian oil, he asked me to refuel it somewhere again, error is about low quality or less purity of fuel, after refueling at HP error went off. No breakdown nothing.
Hello Guys,,, I bought Skoda Kushaq 1.0 Style AT (6AB) on 17th February, 2023. My total onroad journey with kushaq is 100 km till now and the dashboard shows EPC light today (on 20th February, 2023). In this total 100 km journey, I pumped shell v-power category patrol (Top class patrol in shell fuel station). So, there is no issue with fuel.
Biggest issues in 2009-16 cars is COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR ISSUE. Atleast 10% cars had issues. Cars don't start after high speed run. And start normal after half hour. Its Global issue in all AUDI A4 A6, PASSAT, OCTAVIA etc.

I have a VW Taigun 1.0 TSI and got the EPC issue just 1 hour back. The vehicle is not starting. The VW is yet to take the vehicle for examination but they are saying it could be due to rat bite. Is it possible to have EPC issue due to ratbite ? Can you please advise ?
@@para978 hey yes, it was indeed rat bite Rat had Bitten the engine wire hence it was showing EPC error. They replaced the wire and now it is running fine
@@para978 yes, the best vehicle you can get in this price segment, driving is amazing especially steering control. In highway i have touched 150 and still no vibration or anything. the ac controls are touch and i accidentally end up touching one or other button while changing gears, just pay attention to that from beginning itself.
I purchased Slavia 1.0 style automatic on 11/09/2024 salesperson assured me I will not face epc it has been resolved now and he also suggested that i can fill normal 91 octane fuel

Hi, if EPC didn’t lit up on Engine On then nothing to worry. It does lit up along with Engine light when you turn on the car. Keep your fuel tank 1/4th full too, people have reported that EPC lit up when fuel in tank is extremely low too.

Also i would like to add that i own a Polo GT 1.6 Tdi too. I have always been a VW fan but i think VW’s new India 2.0 scheme really sucks. I regret choosing Skoda Slavia over other cars just for the sake of driving pleasure. I feel that i got cheated and scammed by the brand.
Yes, the workshop people called me on the 3rd day stating that the car has started. I asked them what the exact issue was and they told me that there was no issue with the car, it was just that a tape was attached to the earthing point in the boot area which was causing the loss of power. What a stupid reason right ? I am sure there was some other reason which the workshop people are not telling me about.
I own a slavia 1.5 tsi for almost a year now. 4k done and the EPC issue came up. Car dint stop but was vibrating. Stopped the car. Started again and drove. Took it to dealer service. They told me it was an injector issue and have interchanged(Cleaned it is what they meant) it per Skoda's advise. They kept the car drove it for 30kms tested and returned it to me couple of days back. It ran ok for couple of days and today the epc light came up with same vibration. If its a pump issue then this still persists. If its a fuel injector issue as they claim, they have not fixed it. Do they have a permanent solution?? German/ Czech cars are known for technology but sadly this is below par experience so far. Now i need to take the car to dealer service again. Irritated!

But they take two days and return car without changing fuel pump. Agin I have face EPC error then they changed fuel pump. Very harsh service

The mileage with xp95 is almost 10% percent better in city so that almost nullifies the additional cost born at the time of refueling.

@@Gupta.Ankit. Now the display before the engine started earlier was displayed while the car was running. I don't know what the root causes. If I turned on ignition that time many pre check lights turned on and gone but EPc warning still displayed once I started the car was gone. That's what I believe is expected behaviour now?

No, these ratings makes no sense. They also play in the hands of successful players just like how Kia Carens got car of the year award. I would not even touch that death can, leave aside buying one.

Paaji my 2020 vento 1.0 TSI AT also had this EPC issue but it was fixed within a day. I have driven 45,000 kms without any issue and the performance is phenomenal.

Volkswagen recommends 95 ron petrol and minimum 91 ron petrol. The word locally is that people filling 95 ron will not face epc and people filling 91 ron might or might not face it - its like a ticking bomb. What are your thoughts on it? Should i keep filling 95 ron with added 8/- per litre cost?
Sir thr is no reliability issue with 91 octane.

My Skoda Slavia Style 1 Tsi Automatic is not starting. Got towed to the skoda service center Prayagraj today. The Epc light is showing and the problem has not been diagnosed yet. My car has done only 3000 kms. I feel helpless and cheated by the brand. Also i would like to tell u that i have always refilled my car with xp95 fuel. What would u say now ?

Paaji, my Polo TSI AT (2021) has shown EPC error 2 times till now (only when I switched on the engine for the first time in a day). I was suggested by the dealer to re-start the car and the EPC light went away, I know it was not the solution but the error did not flash again, touchwood. I hope I do not see the EPC error in future. Please suggest if I need to still get is replaced?

Amazing analysis and explanation by Munish Sir. This is a catch 22 situation is Skoda / VW paying the price for localisation in India and giving jobs to Indian people. Our Indian suppliers should take care that they should provide sub standard products. What does 90pc mean? Are talking about petrol? Like XP90 or XP95 ?
We get the 2.0 things by now. Honestly the VW cars are not future ready; let me tell you how.
1. E20 fuel, we all know it's coming. VW should have already offered it
2. 4 Airbags Standard; again this will come soon
3. Half baked TPMS. ( I guess 2023 models are coming with TPMS Standard)
4. Poor showroom experience and after sales experience.
5. No clarity on parts, they say 95% localization etc. but have you seen any accessories around the local shops e.g. Karol Bagh?
6. Any policy on car's value if I want to sell it after 5-7 years with VW
Why I ask these things from VW group and not Hyundai / Maruti?
a. Because they have established in the Market already.
b. You find parts and mechanics for Hyundai / Maruti everywhere and good resale.
So, the VW group can't beat these companies in their own game. They should focus on an educated buyer and the educated buyer will be very pissed in the next 2-3 years once all the above 6 point start to bite him/her.
My POV: I am looking for an upgrade from my Hyundai i10. My car is pretty old and I have been through a lot of issues with it including a complete engine overhaul. This car made me half a mechanic and trust me when I tell you this: the best product is the one that never makes you learn the technicities behind it.
What this means is - it should do its job just good enough so you don't have to worry about the Parts/EPC/AC/Servicing/After Sales etc. and focus on your life/work/family and the things that are really important for you. The same reason why iPhones are popular or Maruti/Hyundai are popular.
Your points does make sense and are valid. However, it’s a secret that TSI Engines are E20 ready.

Munish Sir, Can you also shed a bit light on 91 Octane and 95 Octane petrol? You have already answered this indirectly, however, still want to confirm that using 95 Octane petrol is not a requirement for these engines.
Sir 95 octane petrol is perfect match for any turbo charges petrol engines. Bcz dey spin fast nd fuel is finely atomised by direct injection so higher octane petrol will ignite better

This Fuel Pump issue is big one for VW, I own a VW Virtus 1.0 MT and I always thought EPC error would not happen to me it has been resolved but in the end of May while going on Highway with family in 40+ degree Celsius I had EPC error, I was driving at 60 to 70 KMPH and car hesitated to pick RPM from 2500 tp 3000, and after that engine shut off, and when I tried to start again EPC error came up, Had to flatbed tow it back to my hometown, and VW replaced the Fuel pump, MY car is October 2022 model and it has run 33000 KM. This is big issue with VW 2.0... I Think every VW 2.0 owner is going face this EPC error, They have not fixed this, even Sunderdeep ji will face this

It seems multiple replacements also didn't fix the issue for many Kushaq owners. People are still worried about whether the new pumps are reliable with the regular petrol or not.

The point is, more checks you put in place and more robust you try to make the process, more are the number of errors that you will encounter. That is exactly what happens in case of this EPC issue with VW group cars.
Other budget brands dont even bother to put a check around this.

Thank you once again for enlightening us on this issue…One question what i had is as munish ji said that before we start the engine and after switching on the ignition there are lot of checks going on in the vehicle…so should wait until all check are done and then start the car..if so then what are the damages that happens if we directly start the car???
I guess not since this check is done in a split second. Plus important checks are done when the door is opened/ unlocked (the fuel pump will prime)
The EPC issue is still persistent in skoda cars. My 1.5 DSG slavia is at the dealership since 25th april for the same issue. No resolution as of now.
Should we us Octane 95 petrol to avoid EPC issue in 2.0 cars or will normal fuel suffice?

My Octavia 2022, suddenly started jerking at higher RPM’s, Skoda guys don’t have a clue, they are trying to retune the DSG. Waiting for some solution from Skoda, will keep you posted.

Nothing in the diagnosis, no error codes were hit. They will recalibrate the DSG, which is done by running the vehicle for some time on the roads. it seems they will connect the engine to a laptop and the soft ware will tell the driver what to do. For example, it will ask the driver to go on 40 Kmph, once it is driven for 40 kmph, then the software will ask the driver to hit higher speeds, so on and so forth. Hi Singh Ji. I own salvia 1.5 dsg bought in feb 2023 . Always used xp 95 Indian oil petrol only.
Had epc issue today. Engine not rev more than 4000 rpm. And it got stalled. Different engine noise while attempting to start .
You mentioned that there no epc issue further . even the sale guy said epc issue were there in previous model not This model. Even got serviced few months back
Sir still this issue is present. today my Škoda slavia dsg has breakdown due to this issue. My car is 5 months old ambition model . This issue is not fixed and now occurring in DSG 1.5 cars . Interestingly driver side window glass rebound issue is also in my car. How can you say this issue is permanently fixed. Sir ask those who are suffering from this issue. Fortunately breakdown of my car occurred in city . I can imagine when this occurred in hilly area what would happen. Because I live in hilly area. Most frustrating part is service. They took 4 days to diagnose when everyone knows this is due to faulty fuel pump . Can you imagine breakdown on 3 rd October 2023 and today is 15 October . Car is still in service centre due to un availability of parts . This is the real story of Skoda . If your car is running fine then it’s ok but if problem occurs then you will be great sufferer. In 2 yrs Skoda is not able to rectify their deficiency in cars . Please change the thumbnail. They have not fixed the EPC error neither temporarily nor permanently

Sir mene nayi virtus 1.5GT leli. Mera 2 issues dikh rhe he ab tak.
1. Jab me engine ko cold start karta hun, car ke andar kuch shhhhhh jese awaz aata he, jese AC compressor blow kr rha he against a closed opening.. I realised that this is not related to AC because its not going away even when i turn off AC. I dont know if it completely goes off or not as i drive, but it becomes less noticeable. I want to know if this is normal or abnormal. my car has run only 450km till now since last 10 days, and i have had this issue since day 1. Is this normal?
2. Second one is related to auto engine start-stop function. User manual says 3 conditions are required for this system to work.
Driver door should be shut, driver seatbelt should be worn, and lastly we should have moved the car at more than 4kmph after last stop. If these conditions are not met, when i press brake to bring the car to stop, the auto ignition off-on function will tell me through logo display that engine is nt going to turn off because conditions not met.

a. When i go over bigger humps slowly, the engine turns off, and on when i depress brake, and turns off when i let go of the brake. It should not at all turn off when the car has not stopped.
b. In traffic signal, when i come to stop, it doesnt auto turn off ignition. Sometimes it turns the ignition off. when i dont take my foot off the brake, it will turn on engine after like 20 seconds and the engine will keep running.

**** ISSUE in NEW SLAVIA - July 2023 MFG, 350KMS Driven****
Munish ji, I got the EPC issue in 1.5 MT, manufactured in July,2023.
Driven only 350 kms and I used XP95. The car suddenly showed EPC error and Cruise control light also glowed up. This resulted in the care getting limited to 1200 RPM. I had to eventually get the car towed. SC is not able to tell anything when I shared the problem with them. Now waiting for another person to take a look at the SC. Can you share your opinion. I find no difference, absolute ZERO difference in power and fuel economy.
Infact normal petrol in my Kodiaq give tiny bit better milegae.
Don't know about the 1.5 but my 1.0 in polo runs a bit noisier on normal petrol hence I have only filled normal petrol once and have been filling xp95 since
There is a marked difference in smoothness of the drive with 95 octane to normal petrol.😊

My car today stopped immediately luckily i was in a my city but what if i was on a delhi-mumbai expressway or any other highway where there are safety concerns that could be a disaster,anything could have happen to my family there
The company should recall all cars related to that issue and check whether it has that part or not just like honda did that abs fault. I am a huge fan of Volkswagen group but today i lost some confidence.

@@thurules The check engine light popped up at around 9pm when I was returning from the grocery store. I parked the car and went home for dinner. At night around 12:30 am I couldn’t stop thinking about this so went for a short 1 hour drive on the highway cruising at 80. When I came back and parked the car the light was still there. Next day at 2:30pm I was leaving to visit the Service Centre. When I started the car, the check engine light was gone. I still went to there and got the checkup and Swagath Free Service done. Now after a week there is no issue at all.
My service experience at VW PALACE CROSS, Bangalore -
The person I was dealing with was very professional. Some parts were not fixed back properly when I got tints from an aftermarket shop. I was not aware about this. After the service when I went to pick my car, they showed me that some screw was missing from the corner of the door panel which was not visible if you did not put your finger in and feel it. This showed me how minutely they have inspected my car. Overall great experience.
One day I saw it was showing EPC on my screen while driving, I called service Agent, he said where did you filled the fuel, i said Indian Oil, and it was for the first time I filled at Indian oil, he asked me to refuel it somewhere again, error is about low quality or less purity of fuel, after refueling at HP error went off.

I bought Skoda Kushaq 1.0 Style AT (6AB) on 17th February, 2023. My total onroad journey with kushaq is 100 km till now and the dashboard shows EPC light today (on 20th February, 2023). In this total 100 km journey, I pumped shell v-power category patrol (Top class patrol in shell fuel station). So, there is no issue with fuel.

EPC is not small thing like Infotainment etc. EPC, Brake, Clutch issues etc. are pain for long drives.
Biggest issues in 2009-16 cars is COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR ISSUE. Atleast 10% cars had issues.
Cars don't start after high speed run. And start normal after half hour.
Its Global issue in all AUDI A4 A6, PASSAT, OCTAVIA etc.

Hi, would you please elaborate on the one touch up down power window issue (driver side) on Virtus/Slavia/Kushaq/Taigun. I have been told that no update is available for my Virtus, meaning it's already running the latest software. But i still face the problem. One touch up down does fail many times.
In my car too this problem is there, service is due this week & I will give an update.

Rat had Bitten the engine wire hence it was showing EPC error. They replaced the wire and now it is running fine

@@para978 yes, the best vehicle you can get in this price segment, driving is amazing especially steering control. In highway i have touched 150 and still no vibration or anything. the ac controls are touch and i accidentally end up touching one or other button while changing gears, just pay attention to that from beginning itself.
Its not a grey hair. The people who face breakdown can imagine the hassel. Galat tha, no defending it. Still good cars, but we cant downplay this.
I purchased Slavia 1.0 style automatic on 11/09/2024 salesperson assured me I will not face epc it has been resolved now and he also suggested that i can fill normal 91 octane fuel

I have recently purchased VW-Virtus 1.0 Top Line, after one week of purchase one day I was starting my car, Ignition EPC ki light was blinking, when I tried to push start it 2-3 times but it didn’t start, after that I had to switched off the car completely and then when I restarted, it was working and post that till now I have not faced that issue ever again.

Hi, if EPC didn’t lit up on Engine On then nothing to worry. It does lit up along with Engine light when you turn on the car. Keep your fuel tank 1/4th full too, people have reported that EPC lit up when fuel in tank is extremely low too.

I was trying to start it. It started in couple of retries. but I am worried. I don't want to face break down. Due to busy schedule It is very hard to visit service station. My Skoda Slavia Style 1 Tsi Automatic is not starting. Got towed to the skoda service center Prayagraj today. The Epc light is showing and the problem has not been diagnosed yet. My car has done only 3000 kms. I feel helpless and cheated by the brand. Also i would like to tell u that i have always refilled my car with xp95 fuel. What would u say now ?
Also i would like to add that i own a Polo GT 1.6 Tdi too. I have always been a VW fan but i think VW’s new India 2.0 scheme really sucks. I regret choosing Skoda Slavia over other cars just for the sake of driving pleasure. I feel that i got cheated and scammed by the brand.

Yes, the workshop people called me on the 3rd day stating that the car has started. I asked them what the exact issue was and they told me that there was no issue with the car, it was just that a tape was attached to the earthing point in the boot area which was causing the loss of power. What a stupid reason right ? I am sure there was some other reason which the workshop people are not telling me about.

Munish ji, please also tell about the manufacturing lot date after which this EPC problem was resolved. I purchased kushaq 1.0 mt in August 2022.
Most likely aapko nhi aayega shayad.
As far as I know epc issue was in car made in 2021…and car from 2022 manufacturing is pretty much fixed with epc issue so you need not worry about it
I own a slavia 1.5 tsi for almost a year now. 4k done and the EPC issue came up. Car dint stop but was vibrating. Stopped the car. Started again and drove. Took it to dealer service. They told me it was an injector issue and have interchanged(Cleaned it is what they meant) it per Skoda's advise. They kept the car drove it for 30kms tested and returned it to me couple of days back. It ran ok for couple of days and today the epc light came up with same vibration. If its a pump issue then this still persists. If its a fuel injector issue as they claim, they have not fixed it. Do they have a permanent solution?? German/ Czech cars are known for technology but sadly this is below par experience so far. Now i need to take the car to dealer service again. Irritated!

Hi I have face two times EPC error on highway. Skoda service center very bad. When first I have face EPC issue in my kushaq. I have gone said service center to rectify. But they take two days and return car without changing fuel pump. Agin I have face EPC error then they changed fuel pump. Very harsh service
