Let’s make laminated envelopes with snap button! Project share and tutorial!

Policy envelope:
You will need
11x8 1/2 piece of card stock
On the 11” side score the top at 2”
And the on the end at the 10 in mark!
On the 8 1/2 side score at 3” and 7 1/2” mark. Next you will need to cut out all the corner pieces of the paper. Then angle cut the top and the bottom of the flaps. You can also use your corner rounder on the 1” and 2” pieces. Next laminate the paper! Then trim the excess laminated paper and fold! You will need to add tape to the 1 inch fold and down the middle on the the larger flap.Then add the snap button to the 2” flap and the decorate!

You can warm the laminating pouch up a little with your heat gun if you find that they aren't folding easily. I just heat up the folds as I'm folding and I find that they lay a little flatter.
Also- I make my folds, then apply my snaps, and then either sew or tape them shut. Maybe it's just me but I was really struggling to get that bottom half of the snap done after the envelope was taped.
I made a laminated envelope with a snap and it turned out great. Thanks for your video of darling envelopes and bows.

If you don't care about the inside being laminated, you can do single side lamination which is putting two pieces of paper back to back, in this case it would be two envelopes- you can even put a piece of plain copy paper between them- and then when you run them through the laminator you cut along the edges to separate them. They come right apart and they are a little easier to fold because it's only one layer of laminating sheet.
Does that make any sense? Lol. There are plenty of videos on how to do single side lamination.

You can find that laminator at Walmart for about $20 and the snap kit that includes the tools is about $25 on Amazon so it’s not too bad pricewise plus you can use your laminator for so many things as well as the snaps. Hello again. So I made some envelopes like the examples super cute I feel in love and then I want to try the policy. Not so much fun lol. Ruined my papers because I’m a visual learner and I can’t see it in my head on cut which flaps where and how does it come together to get the finish. Is the bottom sealed by tape or sealed by a flap over ? HELP please thanks 😊 🙏🏽

So my daughter had this great idea after planning to throw away a bunch of magazines and is making envelopes from pages of fashion magazines!! So if the material is magazine paper instead of card stock, is there a different procedure or scorer for that when you laminate? How inspiring your you tube was!!!
I’m used 12x12 piece of patterned card stock, scotch brand laminator, 5mm scotch brand lamination sheet (both purchased from Walmart) and snap-button kit that I got from Amazon!

@putsomeblingonit Thank you so much but I got the flaps to work at 3 and 6 1/2 instead of 7 1/2 that fits inside the laminator sheet and use the 2 top and 10 bottom

Where do you get the strong tape? I have tape that did not stay. Even with 2 on each side.
I actually don’t make them that way anyway more I just use my snap buttons with no tape! Take a look at this video ruclips.net/video/6EfybkUbm9c/видео.html and see if you can do this way instead!

Oh ok! That is an envelope punch board! You can find it online on Amazon, scrapbook.com, a cherry on top any major craft store! It’s made by we r memory keepers!

I love that glue gun however I find that it only works for 6-8 months on average because the connection gets work after several uses! But I just buy a new one and keep it moving! TFW Natalie
