- Hello again! I wanted to make a video to show you how to make laminated cash envelopes two different ways that was easy to follow. I hope I did just that. If you liked this video please give me a thumbs up.

Absolutely LOVE the envelopes with the flaps! I've been wondering how I can make them laminated, so this was just what I needed to see. I make envelopes for myself and my kids and they love the ones with flaps but wanted them laminated. Now, I can make them for them. Thanks again for sharing.

Thank you for this video, I am new to doing the cash envelopes. I made a couple with the cricut explorer and was trying to figure out how to laminate them.

I do like the second and flip with flap however if you make the flap a little bit shorter you could actually get two per lamination
Thank you! Needed an envelope design with a flap, just not comfortable with the open design. Not happy it wastes more than the other designs I see online
You could always downsize a bit. I left a little more room because my sinking fund envelopes get thick over time and you have less of a chance of the lamination coming apart. But if you switch out smaller bills so this doesn’t happen you might be fine. I used a combination of 12x12 paper and 8.5 by 11 to make these and if you only make the flap envelopes it will waste some. If you laminate a flap envelope and a regular no flap envelope they will fit on the same lamination envelope and you waste less that way. I didn’t do that for this video for some reason. I guess I just focused on each separately.

Catherine the flap point to the envelope opening is about 3 inches. When I made my tracker copy I eyeballed it but I just try to make sure when making multiples they are all the same. ;)
The envelope sides are 3.5 inches. You just want the flap to be a bit smaller so when you fold it over it doesn’t hang off the end. 😊

Do you feel the flap envelopes open wider than the non-flaps? Some of my envelopes get CHUNKY after I’ve been stuffing for a long time 😬
@@gentry8907 yes even if just slightly bigger. The bigger you make the inside v the wider and more easy it can open. Just remember the bigger the opening, the bigger the flap has to be. These are super customizable for your liking. I like that they close and the money won’t all fall out.

I have a silhouette Cameo machine and I cut it out with 651 vinyl
How do you make the envelopes to go inside the binders the ones with 6 wholes in the envelope
When trimming the lamination, I leave about a half inch of lamination to hole punch.

Just found you and I love your envelopes! I tried to print the template for the flap envelope but unfortunately I only have a black and white printer. Is there any way you would share the dimensions please. If not, I totally understand! Thank you so much for your very easy to follow video!
@@debbiehopson8071 the template is just the dimensions for the envelope and can be cut out and traced onto
Whatever paper you want to use. It is a blank outline. You can print on your printer in black ink.

my cardstock keeps ripping/peeling a bit at the bottom when i’m folding. Any tips?
Take an exacto knife and lightly score the line your folding on just make sure you use very little pressure as to not cut all the way through. You could also take a card or something sturdy with a straight edge and use it across the fold instead of using pressure from your fingers.
It’s still kinda of a waste if you can only get one out of the 12x12
At the time I sold on Etsy and I would make book marks or use the scraps as note paper to add to my orders. I only did these flap envelopes Ada custom order for ones who ask. I usually only made the no flap ones which you could
Get two out of and less scraps and also they would be less oddly shaped. More squares and rectangles.
@@TiffanyBush Im obsessed with making envelopes I love how you made the ones with the flap. I also have a few of those 12x12 packages and I guess if we’re making envelopes for us it wouldn’t be so bad or a waste but to sell might be a different story. Thanks for sharing 🥰

In the description, I say a how I measured for that one. I’m hoping to do a second video in the future with exact measurements.
U only did for the ones without flaps....
@@persaud1207 I explained how I measured them in the description. It’s a little different because of the flap angles. But it does say.
