Great idea. I have so many papers from my scrapbooking days that I will never use for junk journaling. Now I know what to use them for. Thank you for sharing.
I really enjoyed watching this. I get so overjoyed when I can use my circle rounder, it is almost addictive lol ha ha. Thankyou for sharing this pocket tutorial. It is so lovely when artist's/crafter's share their skills.
I meant to add, if you decide to use magnets at some point, you can save money by using a magnet on one side and a small piece of sheet metal on the other. You can cover the sheet metal with paper for protection. You can get thin strong rare-earth magnets; this is what I use for closures in my mini albums.
I used to have a hand crank "laminator", but it just sealed around the paper, not a true lamination where the plastic fuses with the paper with heat. My local FedEx has one of the heat laminators. But the paper and plastic is fused together, and once fused, I can cut the paper into smaller pieces and it is still laminated. Do you think that would work if you laminated a full sheet and used a score tool to fold it, to make score lines? It's pretty thick. Then I'd have to glue the edges of the pocket together or maybe sew them. I could even leave the front of the pocket just clear to see inside.
Wow, you were truly old school with the hand crank! ☺️ As I mentioned in the video- I wouldn't suggest laminating the fold and scoring it later. The bent area gets too chunky for a good fold. But do what you want- this is your project. Good luck and thanks for watching! ✌
