a few suggestions: place a piece of scrap copy paper between your layers and you don't have to worry about the alignment, for the cutting of the indents put it back into your punch board to punch the laminate
What a great idea! (You could add a small dot of tape runner to join the two pieces of DSP to hold them in place when placing in the laminating folder.)
Sherri Piechnik I was thinking the same thing but then I thought that the heat from the laminator may make the bond permanent or at least make it more difficult to remove. I guess the only way to know for sure is to experiment. :)
Thank you soo much dear, im realy happy to see this video , because i was searching that how to make lamination on paper , so because of you, i finaly learned how to do . Love you sooo much.
To save the problems of the lining up, you could put them either side of an A4 sheet of paper. I was waiting to try this out before I commented on the last video but now you have done this one Linda I think my idea would work too.
Wonderful tutorial Linda and I really did enjoy it. I think it is a good idea to use retired stock for experimenting and confidence boosting how else is one supposed to use up old stock. I have seen quite a few demonstrators use retired stock in their card tutorials and I am all for it. Keep on crafting you are a very talented lady. I look forward to your next tutorial.
Cute little gift card holders. Great idea to use the laminator. I had to have those snaps! Thank you for introducing them to me. Got a great bargain through Amazon.
@@JensJewellery www.amazon.com/Swpeet-Quality-Fastener-Organizer-Containers/ There were other letters, numbers characters etc. . . but I hope this will get you there.
Fab project Linda ! They look great, and now, I want the snaps too ... Thought of them a while since but passed them over - think again then. Thanks for sharing.
After watching your previous video, where you used the snaps, I thought they would be perfect for making my masks adjustable. They work brilliantly!! Great ideas
Hi Jean - I understand from having watched a few recently videos from RUclipsrs that people are having to unsubscribe and then press subscribe again for videos to pop up from those they try to follow. Thanks - I am glad you like the idea. Great for Christmas :)
I watched your first video for these and I did think that you were wasting the laminating pouch when you could make four! I haven’t made any of these but I intend to! Thanks for the video!
Very Nice! Thank you! You can use double sided tape in-between your paper pieces (squares) in the center to secure them together so they will not slip unaligned.
Very cute. The button can be used for the center of the Daisy punch. You could our a little Daisy onto your little pouch. Great idea. Have a great day.
I enjoyed both videos and I really like this idea. The recipient could also use the holder for paper money after the gift card is used. Will be getting some snaps, too!
Hi Linda, I made the gift card holders following your step by step instructions and they turned out brilliant. I am now just awaiting some colourful press studs in order that I can colour coordinate. A bit quirky I know but I think it will look good. I try to do as many of your lovely projects as I can. Next up is the sleeved gift box.
Nail scissors are a great choice for small curves. To help with laminating, I use an A4 cutting mat and hang the fold of the pouch over the edge before placing the papers in. Then I just lift the mat and feed the edge into the machine, minimal movement
Maybe this will help, but it’s what I do with laminating pieces I don’t want to move inside the sheets. when lining up your pieces on the laminating sheet, place a sheet of heavy duty cardstock underneath the laminating sheet, leaving a gap of approx an inch at the top. This will not only make it easy to feed the sheet through the laminator, but also gives stability to the pieces you’ve placed on the laminating sheet. (You don’t actually feed the cardstock through the laminator. )
Hi Linda, really enjoy your videos! You have such a lovely voice and your instructions are clear and concise! Wanted to ask a very big favor! I have 2 maybe 3 stampin up bigz favor box dies that I haven’t figured out how to put together! If you have the dies would you mind making a video show how to make them? I am a visual learner and really am lost with what I’ve found online! LOL I will completely understand if this isn’t possible. I’m sure there is a lot of preparation that goes into making videos. That isn’t something I have tackled to date! LOL Love your channel!
What a most excellent idea! Could you punch the side divots back in the envelope punch board? Great project, thank you for sharing it. Blessings, Darby
A good way to keep them together before you laminate them is to stick them together first with double sided tape and them send them through the laminater
Worked great Linda. Would it be easier to put the snap on before you seal the sides?? You could mark the place with it folded then open it back up and do the snap then seal the sides up... Hugs Ali xx
U could also put 2 full sheets of copy paper between the envelopes... then u don’t have to line things up perfectly and they will separate as soon as u cut off the edges of the copy paper
Hold the paper together with WASHI TAPE when using the envelope punch board. Before laminating can you stick the envelopes with double sided tape so it doesn't shift?
Could you put a sheet of printer paper in between the envelopes so it won’t be so nerve wracking hoping they don’t shift in the laminator? Would that work?
I’m sorry but, she said that she was going use the 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 measurement. She was suppose to score on another measurement which stated on the board. The score line was not suppose to start at 2in, then 2 7/8. I saw this video and made the envelopes the way she said not the way she did it. My gift card is a bit bigger. Am I wrong? Or misunderstood what she explained? Please, someone explain to me what I could be doing wrong?
Why would one be timid to use paper...it's paper, it has the same value (in my eyes) whether the paper pad no longer in stock or "new". Honestly, with all the designs that have been out for every brand the designs all get recycled anyways. Plaids, florals, shapes, etc...they all start repeating and looking very similar. This is why buy non branded paper pads so I am never afraid to cut into it cause it isn't overpriced paper.
Use 2 sheets of copier paper inbetween them. Also, if you don’t want the thick shine, try some matt laminating pouches, they really do leave a great finish, you can’t even tell they are laminated.

Great idea thank you to the lovely lady who suggested this idea ❤️
Woohoo! Thanks for trying that, and so glad it worked!
I love making these. I made about a dozen a few months ago. I use them for gift cards and money holder.

Thanks Lyne ❣️
After watching your previous video, where you used the snaps, I thought they would be perfect for making my masks adjustable. They work brilliantly!! Great ideas
What a great idea. Love it I will be doing this...
What if you laminate two sheets of paper FIRST, then separate them and cut into squares and proceed as you started...?
love this idea..can't wait to try this
I have only just seen this, Linda ! Love it, will try it too. Maybe I missed others, will be playing catch-up then ! Thanks for sharing.

So cute! thank you!!
Great tutorial thank you for sharing.
Love this idea! TFS
What a cute idea!
These would be great for business card holders tfs
Awesome! Well done. It can be tricky to get them to stay in place as you feed them in the laminator, but they worked really well. 😊
What a Fun Idea to share! Thanks!!
I love that idea that is so awesome I have lots of paper I try that thanks
Love these!

How cute, very many thanks for sharing,vi will definitely give them a go :)
looks great. Oh I see. only laminated on one side. great idea
Fun project! Thank you

What a cleaver ideal 😊 TFS
Great idea!
They would make great little money wallets for kids to

Brilliant.

Yep. I would adhere them before laminating.
Place two sheets of copy paper in between the envelopes. No need to try and get them perfectly on top of each one. Loved these though!
To darn cute !!!

Cute! 💖💖💖🌹🤓
Genial !!!!
What a most excellent idea! Could you punch the side divots back in the envelope punch board?
Great project, thank you for sharing it. Blessings, Darby
Works!
Lovely little money pouches.
A good way to keep them together before you laminate them is to stick them together first with double sided tape and them send them through the laminater
Maybe try a folded piece of low tack tape between the envelopes to keep the pieces from moving.
I watched the other video and thought the exact same thing!
If you place the snaps before you fix the envelope with glue, it is much easier
Try laminating the squares first and then punching and scoring. Might be easier to cut apart.
Hi I was going to say yesterday maybe use a sheet of copier paper and have envelopes both sided of it.
Now why didn't I think of that !! Genius idea :)
yes, I was going to suggest this too! Brilliant concept, this lamination on only one side, thank you, Linda, for both tutorials!
Venuszenith is there a video tutorial on what you're saying. I'm having a hard time understanding how to do that. Thanks
Hi Linda, which double sided tape do you use?
What Christmas DSP did u use with the 1sr envelope that u demonstrated? It’s beautiful
save the left over sheet to make stencils with dies
Would it not be easier to do the snaps before sticking the folds? TFS 👍
Hold the paper together with WASHI TAPE when using the envelope punch board.
Before laminating can you stick the envelopes with double sided tape so it doesn't shift?
Lol well done you x
Thanks Peggy xx
Love them. What is the tool called please? I’m in Australia,Thankyou
You prob have purchased it by now. I bought mine from ebay awhile ago. I live in Brisbane......www.ebay.com.au/itm/174151415124
I found the tool and snaps at hobby lobby and was able to use a 40% coupon off on the tool.
Great suggestion!
What type of double sided tape is that? It"s nice and thin.
Great idea! What if you laminate the papers first then use envelope board? Might be easier to line up.
I think it would impair the performance of the punch board to try punching laminated paper Carrie, which is why I wouldn't attempt it.
Ya that Might happen. Thanks!
Could you put a sheet of printer paper in between the envelopes so it won’t be so nerve wracking hoping they don’t shift in the laminator? Would that work?
