    Jane, this is the first time in my life that I am writing a comment on RUclips, but I definitely had to thank you for uploading this tutorial! I recently decided to get back to playing piano after 25 years of stop!. I really like this arrangement of Summertime and it's slowly coming together: I wouldn't have been able to get through the first few measures without your help. Thank you so much!!!

I have been browsing on your channel and I am sure I will be back here very often: I just can't wait to tackle the next piece following your tutorials! Plus, I just love that I can find here music AND math videos on the same channel :)

    • @janepianotutorials
      @janepianotutorials  7 лет назад

      Arpeggiated chord. We roll the notes, in this case, from bottom to top (the reverse comes with a downward arrow). Good reference on Wikipedia: "List of musical symbols"

    Hi Jane, I find it very difficult to count bar 15, and I wanted to ask if have tied the second beat also ? Becos in the sheet it seems to not tie. Thanks

    • @janepianotutorials
      @janepianotutorials  4 года назад

      Set a metronome to 48 bpm, or even slower, for each 8th note. Listen for 8 ticks then play along. Tied notes are held. Perhaps writing 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 under each beat will help? Also, the speed tool at 0.5x speed might make it clearer. Good luck.
