I find it very interesting that just about every manufacturer is challenging Ford, whether it's sports cars or trucks, on dragstrips, on road or off road . Even Supercars is in on the hunt.
The original Koenigsegg motor was based off a Ford too.

Challenging Ford? I drive and love my PP2 Mustang GT, but my impression is Chevy made that car, and the S550 Shelby's excellent. Model-to-model (base ss>base GT, ss 1LE>PP2, ZL1>GT350), it feels like Chevy comes out ahead in terms of track performance, ever so slightly, close enough that's its a driver's race. I mean the base SS comes with big brakes all around and 275 rear. Base Mustang GT comes with little rear brakes and square 235 tires. No way Mustang are as good as they are without the Camaro to push it.

@@lynndempsey4096 No, cmon now. Ford is skimpy and protects its models (GT350). Chevy unleashes new technology upon the Camaro, and its the Corvette department's task to stay ahead. They did magnetic dampening on Camaro before Ford, and they gave crazy +300 mm tires to sport cars first (I forget which model Camaro it was). Gotta give credit where it's due.

The 350 gives a lot more revs than the GT500 but the predator 5.2 engine is proving to be a bit more reliable. They're truly special cars with a lot of history. Carrol Shelby left us in 2012 but gave a fantastic legacy with this cars not to mention the development of the GT40, the Dodge SRT VIPER, AHC Cobra just to mention a few. Iconic cars nonetheless.

Bolt ons, intake, headers, pulley tune, injectors and E85 for Mid 9's... the low 9.1 second car might have a blower swap Whipple I'd assume.

Demons aren't anywhere near stock to run these times, sorry, but i can't believe people still claim this bs, also super modded ? As far as i know, some of those GT500 have mods like tires and better supercharger setup and tune, other than that they barely have much else to talk about in terms of mods.
