I am a mother of a shooting survivor, who was so very fortunate to live. I want these laws to change now. Not later.
I'm a survivor of violent crime myself... I was unarmed and almost killed by a mugger with a baseball bat. No one came to help me... Now I carry a gun, and never felt safer. I will never be an unarmed victim again.

Anyone who thinks they need a bloody automatic rifle for safety or "shoot deer" is full of sh!t. Nothing wrong in having some form of regulations and central database for gun ownership. No one is asking for complete ban on guns but some regulations are needed.

Matthew conveyed the pain that the families are feeling on the loss of their loved ones. Hoping this will bring about change so that there will be no more innocents dying in the hands of bad people getting their hamds on guns.

I had no idea he was from there, til now. I felt weird seeing him on my tv yesterday and I changed it. But now I see why he and his wife came to speak about this. Matthew comes across as a humble genuine human being. A true gentleman. Let's hope something changes now because this cannot happen again. My thoughts are with all of them beautiful angels in heaven and also the mum's and dad's that now have to stand tall and fight for change. The teachers that protected the children that day deserve respect. Let's all come together and give our power back. I am begging the American government to stop these gun laws.

I have shot guns from a very early age way before I was 18, the difference is I was educated in gun safety and handling, also I had a healthy up bringing... These people who commit these acts are not stable and may need help, its NOT an age thing.

Heartbreaking tragedy, and I can't imagine what the parents/family members are going through. But Matthew has no real solutions here. "We all should meet in the middle. That's where most of us are on this issue." No we're not. Most of us are either "ban guns" or "keep your hands off my guns."
The only solution: Armed guards in every single school in this great country, by any means necessary. Disappointed Matthew didn't say it.

The AR Rifles and their Equivalent are capable of "interchangeable" ammunitions, they can use "double-action/hollow point" ammunition, wherein when it hit the target, then it explodes inside, thus double wounds that maximized the ability to inflict death to the victims with just a single shot... low chances of survival... the ability of the ammunition to expand upon impact.
We need to do better. I do know we have a mental health crises in this country. Who will address the multifaceted problem? It is more than guns. Yes, guns. Yes, mental health. There is a lot to look at here.
