My favorite moment? It is the crowd helping Dave to carry on. When Dave struggled after singing the lyrics “I’m a little divided”, the thousands and thousands of people in the crowd showed their love and support. I think it was both beautiful and heartbreaking.

When someone has already been part of a tragic and heartbreaking moment in music history as a member of one of the biggest, successful break-through bands in the 1990's......breaks down- one can only imagine how much mental strength it took to continue on....
I remember seeing Foo Fighters at a massive music festival in Atlanta back in '97. Before they went up on stage, I was standing in the 100yd long line for the bathrooms, looked over my shoulder....and about 20ft away from me I see Dave just walking around the crowd with a giant grin on his face. The only thing I could do was pull out the disposable camera I had a hope one of the pictures would turn out.....and one did.

It's hard to pick a favourite moment with how the evening rolled on. It just got bigger and bigger, snowballing into one of the most spectacular evenings of music, and it was sensational to be there live to witness it unfold. Watching Shane play My Hero was something nobody is ever going to forget. And Dave singing most of Times Like These solo, and by solo, I mean with 85,000 people singing along with him, and getting behind him when he got emotional.
Anybody that was fortunate enough to be there live is never going to forget just how special it was of an evening in memory of the late, great, Taylor Hawkins.

3 Travis Barker did Justice to his friend and fellow drummer. Frenzied and frantic with incredibly precise control.
2 Nandi Bushell. A 12 year drum prodigy showed us all, we need to support music and talents like hers!
1 Shane Hawkins. I wish I could take his pain. What this young man has had to endure. Talented and gifted. He gave his dad a proper sendoff and DID HIM PROUD!

When someone has already been part of a tragic and heartbreaking moment in music history as a member of one of the biggest, successful break-through bands in the 1990's......breaks down on stage- one can only imagine how much mental strength it took to continue on....
