Girl 18 does not mean you’re an adult, you’re an adult when you have a reasonable job, you’re responsible, you’re out of school , your financially stable
Actually 18 is actually legally an adult by law and by then you are by law legally a grown man or woman
And therefore you would have the right to be your own boss and that’s what she was getting at there to say

Growing up I had both parents. Most of My friends had broken families. People I knew were no longer with the babies father.
When I got pregnant at 17 I was afraid of the same thing happening to me. I didn't want my baby growing up in a broken family...... luckily 15 years later and 3 kids, we are still happily in love. I'm so blessed. I wish more couples would make it for the sake of those beautiful babies.
Unfortunately many young couples that do this just are not mentally, emotionally, or financially ready to do things like this. These relationships with those circumstances usually don't last long and everyone suffers for it.

Okay so like i see where shes coming from saying that she cant handle with a baby back then, but to consider putting a baby up for adoption is NOT a necessary reaction to do in her case. I was adopted from china at 2 years old, I remember my life there and remember my mother not wanting me, to feel that kind of rejection is very hard to make go away, I now struggle with anxiety and trust issues, it changed my life. Even though you might be there for your child, it might not be the necessary to let your child up for adoption, because it can change your child's perspective about you.
I was rejected by my mother before I was born. I never saw her. Yet I grew up and always still feel rejected.🥺I wonder if some how did I absorb her feelings
