So this is hard for me to put out there but I think you guys are amazing we need more awesome foster parents like you guys I got lucky and my little man that is seven and a half was adopted at five by a great set of foster parents unfortunately I wasn't able to get him back I was part of that 30% but I do get pictures once maybe twice a year and that's better than nothing and I just want to say how amazing you guys are coming from the parent side you don't always get that and I know that but foster parents are amazing 90% of the foster parents out there do it out of love and you guys are one of them and I just want to say how much I thank you and appreciate you for what you do
Aww 🥰 wow! Thank you for sharing a little of your story with us! I can’t even imagine how hard this may have been for you to watch, but your comment has really brightened my day! Your son is lucky enough to have so much love in his life - from you and his adopted family 💕
What a mixture of joy and heartbreak all at the same time. My heart just broke about hearing the little girl cry for her mama, but then I feel so happy to know they are in such good hands with you both. Such a beautiful picture of how God is able to show his love through us if we are willing to be his vessel. Praying for you both and for the kiddos.🙏💜
Your story is almost a carbon copy of ours. We struggled with fertility for 5 years before becoming foster parents. We had 9 children throughout 2 years while we fostered. We now have our own child after 7 years of infertility but have talked about foster/adoption when we are ready for another child. God bless you guys for what your doing and it’s going to be a journey you will never forget. I still think about the children we fostered even after 4-5 years.
Aww 🥰 yeah, I’m so thankful that we can foster sibling groups right now, which would’ve been tough if we already had a couple of kids ourselves - we would’ve just been able to foster 1 or 2 kids at a time - God always knows ❤️
You all will be in our prayers. Hope you are feeling well. Thank you for loving on those kiddos and allowing God to work through you. I hope and pray seeds will be planted and someday they will come to know the Lord
Thank you so much for sharing how your first couple of days went. I'm always going to come back to your videos went I feel like I'm having a rough day. You're such an inspiration and I love how you always see the good in everything ❤

That's so lovely of you and your husband. I and my husband are looking into been a foster parent because we have been trying to get pregnant. Watching this video kind of give me some inspiration. Thanks for putting this amazing video up😊🤗
The 2 of you are naturals. Yes your smile says it all. Even when your face wasn't smiling your eyes were. There is going to be up ups and downs downs, but you got this. I'll have you and the little ones in my prayers. These kids don't know just how lucky they are to have both of you, but they will.
Sounds like a normal family, just next next level! You are doing so so well, it's amazing, and your love, even with discipline, or because of it, gives these kids that security. You 2 are changing lives. In South Africa all we see about foster parents is also the paycheck etc, your channel is educational, inspirational and you make me feel like a good parent because whether they are biologically yours or not, we all have good and bad days, but God and love gets us through. If everyone could give kids back when it got hard, trust me, they would consider it, if only for a few days🤣, no judgment to family that struggles with 3 under 8,because since you are believers you know these kids were always going to be yours to keep safe so this had to happen this way and now the previous family can perhaps take in another child or children that are also in need so win win. In my experience 3year Olds cry over lots of things still, especially when they are tired, all kids at one point or another cries themselves to sleep, so hope you don't feel terrible about it, I know this is circumstances, but also, they cry when tired, even when older. Stay strong. Love to you all from sunny South Africa

Hi, I know this is an older video, but my husband and I were just placed with a sibling group of three 10, 8, 7. So I'm watching your videos to get some ideas of what to do and what needs to happen next. We are first time foster parents and we were prepared for one or two kids so this was quite a surprise.
Yeah, the first month is a whirlwind - give yourself & the kids grace as you all adjust to a new home dynamic. Also lean on support in your community and if you don’t know of anyone, just ask your friends, a local Foster closet or Foster the Family support group or local church - meals are helpful as well as anyone who is willing to bring stuff to your doorstep as you probably have a lot to buy- plan to Venmo them back, but not having to go to the store on a bunch of trips is great. And if there is anyone who’d be willing to be background checked to watch your foster kids so you and your husband could go on at least a bi-weekly date, that’d be the best. We didn’t have a lot of people we knew right away. But I soon learned to ask for help and willingly accepted it and it has been such a blessing! You have a 6 month old in a toddler bed? Honey that's not a good idea. He needs to sleep in a crib so he does not get injured. Another thing is it is really best to develop structure and rules immediately. The longer you wait the harder it will be. Remember first impressions are lasting and the more structure and routine you instill in children's lives the more secure they feel.
I think you must’ve misheard. We had the 6 month old in a pack and play the first 3 nights (then we got a crib) and the almost 3 year old was in a bed with a safety rail. We had a loose structure the first 3 days and I’m thankful we did - it’s what these kids needed and they’ve responded well as we’ve set the rules now.
Again, you misheard. We did not have Covid those first 2 days, but rather that the kids had been exposed to covid. So we limited our contact with people until we knew. Once we knew, we quarantined for the recommended time.
They weren’t going out just to go out, they knew there was a potential exposure for the kids. They had just gotten three kids for the first time though, there were items they needed that they couldn’t wait for. I’m sure they did everything they could to make the trips they had to make safe.

You sound like a real ray of sunshine. Sheesh!
Why didnt u hav your own kids?
Hiya. You're new here, aren't you? I suggest you search the Hoppes' back catalogue for that answer. Stay safe. All the best to you.
And even if we could have our own kids, we still would’ve chosen to do foster care as well 💕
Seriously you your family has covid but you were still going out?? No wonder it is still spreading. That is extremely irresponsible
