I hate to say it but the black pil content is so weird to me. It’s a bunch of nice guys that are mad at the world because women don’t want to date them. I used to play games A LOT. What I realised was that I was just addicted to getting better in it and making online friends. Now I level up my life by working out, hanging with irl friends and I cut off bad habits.

Man it is a problem I am facing as well. I feel that it is all myself that is a problem. Mental health is what is the problem here. There is a crisis in mental health and that is what allows us to love people naturally. People with troubled childhoods or society systems affect ppl and get them to hate each other.

I have to disagree on the Netflix part. One valuable thing I’ve learned is that you cannot moderate an addiction. The mental dependance addiction creates means you can’t moderate, period. You will either slip back into the addiction or create a new one. For example as a gaming addict, I would likely just fill the time gaming with Netflix or movies or whatever. The goal should be to rewire my brain such that I don’t have a mental dependence

Your approach to watching Netflix is exactly what I do now it’s so helpful, I have a to do list I complete everything on their and then watch tv shows since that’s what I love. I know many people say “don’t reward yourself”, “dopamine detox for life” but I personally don’t agree with that.
Edit: I tried dopamine detox did it for a week (hence I didn’t comment on your videos) and it was good it helped me solve some mental dilemmas since I eliminated all my means of escapism but now that I’m clear about my beliefs and have a set routine with all the activities I want to do I think that it’s pointless for me.

You have to create your OWN perseption in reality. I used to consume heavy content when it came to being "masculine" and extra stuff that my brain wanted to hear to make me feel worth living. I dropped so much of that and realized this isn't who I am or who I need to be. It's like you don't have a purpose for yourself so you want to live everyone else's life, which is very common lol. But even me saying that's common is my perseption in my own reality and tbh reading this is letting me know I need to change that. We live and learn every day so don't force yourself to be who you are today or who you were 1 second ago.
Being yourself will attract the right person for you
We have two innate drives. To seek comfort and to seek challenge. The key with comfort is to struggle for it. That's the only way you'll be truly satisfied with that comfort

I hate how they treated me in the past
My director came on to me at every work Christmas do. She is married with three children. As a result I suffer from ambivalence towards her for 16 months and now I hate her because it was just mind games and want as little to do with the company as feel I silently quit. I think in time, I will recalibrate emotionally. I am sure other men have had similar experiences from married women.

I find that elimination is the best choice. You want to remove it out of your immediate vicinity. And manipulate your environment in a way you don’t have access to distraction. Discipline is a short term solution, you’re in a constant battle. Elongation however, is more long term as you won’t feel that internal conflict but simply acclimate to your new environment. Make habits stick by increasing the friction between you and the distraction. Human beings naturally gravitate towards the path of least resistance, make the distracting path the hardest path- long comment, but also a reminder to myself!

Yeah my eyes were hurting and what I did was plan to take off a whole week off games to fix them as they were really bad I think I remember (or it might have been really bad at the time where instead of it being about games it was from binging the one piece trashy anime lol). So I ended up lasting 2 days and what happened after is I always find that after just completely shutting off for a day I don’t want to play like at all.
Because life is so much better with them barely in it and you really realise that once you take a day off every time you begin to get addicted or play too much

I found being able to control myself when I was feeling down helped the most. Like if I was feeling sad, I tried not to play games as an "escape" and that really helped me to stop gaming because I didn't use it as a coping mechanism anymore.
