You’re an awesome dude, please keep what you’re doing on the tracks and roll keep rolling that train; mainly because all of it is so informative and so well done, but the best part really is the easy-going nature of your delivery,
This is the best review I have seen on this camera. Cinematic, realistic, with real art photography. Congratulations. I have been hunting for the perfect video to help me to make decision to buy the camera and this one is. Thank you.
I'm looking at this camera as a birthday (it is a big one) present to myself but last year I spent 10K on the canon RF 100-300 2.8 (sports) and while my wife is supportive, she is also practical. I view this not as technically superior but a functional work of art to facilitate and inspire photographic works of art.
I am thankful for such content to be available on your channel. No I won't buy it, but hell, this is a pure piece of dream. Can believe how long it takes to create such master piece (like all your videos). Again, thank you for providing again and again this top level content quality.
I would buy it , working on it ! Worth every penny if it won’t fail electronically . Have been shooting film with the same Hasselblad Cameras for 20 years and only needed minimal service ! Well made and functions with reliable simplicity !
So beautifully shot... Beautiful colours.. Even though the photos are impressive and yes medium format pop is very much existent.. Your channel's video quality is exceptional.. Please do a BTS and colour grading tutorial
I own the X2D, 24, 38 and 90 mm lens’s. Why would a greenhorn such as myself own such a gem? I love art. One day I will create snippets of art to be appreciated by others. Nice video and review.
Thanks for the video, the camera has been out for some time though not the case with 25mm, but never bored seeing someone digging out what this camera is capable of
I recently bought the original X1D and 45mm lens like new. It's not a disaster at all. It's slower like a film camera and that suits my work along with the beautiful sensor. I hope it lasts me a long time.
Great video. I actually bought this camera with the 80mm1.9, the 45P and the 28P. And i am not a professional photographer. Mind me i already photograph my entire life on everything from 24x36 to 8x10 and bigger. I also have a traditional 500C/M and I wanted a camera tgat was capability of producing high quality images with the super quality lenses that i was used to in Hasselblad. Next to two nikons i bought new mire than 35 years ago this is the onky camera system i bought new. Why? Because it is a thing of beauty that inspires to create more beauty. I bought a cheaper car because of this camera. But hé i have a Hasselblad and when i walk the street and make photo's all the photographers with their sony alpha's and nikons D9 and whatever turn their heads 90 degrees because they know they are no match. Try that with a car nowedays 😉 i nade portraits with the 80mm1.9 wide open at half a second at low light that i could read the eye lashes, I made seascape's at 1 second without a trypod that were tacks sharp and still showed movenent in the waves and all with colors that are out if this world. This camera will most likely be the last i ever buy simply because i don't need anything else, period.....
@@ivanjortiz8 well i bought the X2D as a set with the 80mm 1.9 and the 45P. The 45P is also a very good lens but to get sharpness in the corners you must stop down to at least 5,6. The 80mm1,9 is much sharper at bigger diafrane but obviously much mire expensive and of course a very different lens. The 45P is a very good lens and second hand can be bought at reasonable prices.
"Are flowers worth the money?" Perfect. I absolutely do not need this camera, but am about to buy it! I figure the cost pain will evaporate the moment I hold the 'flower' that it is! :) Great (and beautifully shot) review, sir. Thanks!
Wow, I never comment on anything but your video is exceptional. I've been thinking about buying this camera and came across your review. Your work and aesthetic are outstanding. I really enjoyed watching this. Thank you. "are flowers worth the money?" haha yes they are

Would love to see you compare it with the Fuji GFXs
I can help - I use both - the fuji is a far more complex machine with a greater lens lineup and lots of crossover between focal lengths - if you can get them and mostly you can't the Hass lenses are purer, finer and give better results - also shutter built in etc - however if colours and/or simplicity are what you're after stick with Hass - we say in our studio - Hass - colour as you see it - Fuji any colour but the colour you see.
IMO...Beautiful and worth every dollar, just know you cannot get many of the lenses without extraordinary waiting times... That may ruin the experience...
thanks for the review. very nice. How ever, your information is wrong. Some brands calibrate their sensors, such as Phase one, Mamiya also did that with their Leaf series. Fixed lenses from, for example, Fuji GFX, or even Leica S Phase one and Mamiya and Pentax have an aperture of 2.8 or larger. 16 bit colors means 65536 shades per color. Although this review looks nice, there are too many errors, which makes me wonder how Hasselblad looks at this.
Steve Jobs famous headshot, is actually cropped full body portrait taken on medium format Kodak 160VC film. But later cropped because headshot is stronger and more usefull.
Excellent video! Beautifully filmed and edited. I have watched every video on RUclips about the X2D and this one stands out as one of the best. I happen to own this camera, and I can only aspire to create images as beautiful as those shown in this video. One suggestion though, next time try taking a few pauses between sentences and let the video breathe a bit. The whole thing felt a little rushed. I would’ve enjoyed lingering on some of your beautiful images a bit longer. I look forward to watching more of your work.
If I shoot for fun, street, travel, everyday, gig if there is and contest, should I get Nikon Zf with 18-400mm f4-8 or Hasselblads X2D with 25mm and 90mm and just crop when needed?
With all due respect, X2D has been painted and partially made in China for sure. You will find more product quality problems a little by little as time goes by. Otherwise, it wouldn't have any paint scratching in corners and at the bottom. Even low priced Japanese cameras don't have those kind of problem. just 2 cents.. But it is a remarkable camera..
This is by far one of the best video review of this camera. I hope that the manufacturers compensate you accordingly.
I bought X2D 100. A most excellent camera. I’ve used Hasselblad for 40 years. This new body will give me another 40 years!

What lens is your favorite?
@@ivanjortiz8 the 80 mm 1.9 it's amazing the quality of the image at full opening.
@@gdv174 I was expecting you to say the 45p 😹 I want that lens because of the price.

You can move the focus point with the wheels too, not just your finger….
Really good honest video, as I am planning to get X2D, but probably updated version next June 2025... like your coat, which brand is that ?
This guy is just good
This is next level glazing
Do you recommend the Fujifilm GFX 100S II or Hasselblad X2D 100C Medium Format ? I want the best

Probably just get a Nikon
Is the 25mm better than 38mm?
15k for the best of the best in photography, sounds pretty Good if you look at the prices of top end Cinema cameras
There are cameras that take pictures then there are camers that take photographs. Hasselblad has always been is in the latter category.
You still sound like a commercial.
next try fuji MF
Almost looks as good as an iPhone photo 😂
